Anyone starting to make a list of games they're going to purchase on the last day of the sale in the event those games don't get a daily/flash/community vote? I usually do this, but I've been keeping myself in check this sale and there hasn't been much I really want. That being said, Diehard Dungeon is the only game I have on the list so far, and it's currently already cheap at $1.69. Nothing else stands out to me so far.
Yeah, Dawn of War II and Deadly Premonition are the main two I'm watching. Deadly Premonition is super cheap right now but still. Flash sale ho!
Goat Simulator has to go on a better sale at some point, right? I feel like I need to share that game with some people in my life.
Escape Goat 2 also hasn't hit a better sale. Don't they understand I have a need to have every barnyard themed Steam game in my library? For...um...reasons.
Arkham City has better boss fights than AC and definitely better than AA
Dunno, that Electrocutioner boss fight in Origins was pretty amazing!
Crap I meant Origin had better bids fights.
Still got it wrong!
Google keyboard, why would you change "boss" to "bids"!?
Aside from Mr Freeze in AC, Origin has the best boss fights. AA has meh fights, AC has pretty good fights.
Mini Akrham series rant:
AA is great for a starting point, but not a nearly as good as AC or AO. AC is probably a slightly better game that AO. The challenge maps and DLC character a lots of fun, and I spent hours upon hours in them. The AO challenges never really hooked me. The story in AA and AC are pretty good, but get kinda dumb towards the ends. AO's got the best story imho. AO has a nice verity of enemies, which AC and AA lack.
Also, did they correct the Bioshock Infinite DLC pricing. I thought it was 75% off this morning.
Does Mass Effect really count as a female protagonist game when the protagonist can be either gender as the player chooses? I mean by that standard Skyrim is a female protagonist game too. I guess there's not a huge number to choose from.
I think it's Valve trying to be clever and implying canon Shep is female
I'd bet the categories on these games is based off the tags people have them on the store.
Is Banner Saga anything like King of Dragon Pass? That game ate my life on iPhone last year, and I'd love to dig into something similar. Currently trying to work out if I want to grab it or hold off in case Broken Age goes to 50% off or more, since either of the two is probably going to mark the end of the sale for me.
Hmm, Arkham Asylum kind of remains my favorite of the bunch. It's likely because it was the first to some degree. But I loved all the audio logs and background info on the various wider franchise characters. That game had me wanting to find all of those unlockables and solve the riddles etc. Arkham City I also enjoyed quite a bit, but they went so overboard on the quantity of riddler trophies and collectibles that it actually kind of turned me off of them a bit. Origin went even further with that. That said I enjoyed them all quite a bit, despite Origin being somewhat of a stumble in the progression. It's the AC:Revelations of the series though and not it the AC:3.

I'm primarily waiting for pinball DLC sales...there are still a handful of Pinball FX2 tables I don't have, and if the Pinball Arcade Season Passes ever hit 75% off (*maybe* even 50%), I'll pull the trigger in a heartbeat.
I have no idea how it would sell, but I would absolutely love a Batman '66 themed game using the same quality engine of the Arkham games. I start to get a little bored playing them because they are so dark - it would be amazing to have a bright, ridiculous retro themed game come out at some point.

for me Asylum is just a lot more focused, I replayed it a couple of weeks ago then started City and I still found I prefer Asylum

Good gravy - @Talus9952 just snuck into my backlog and deposited Endless Space. What a class guy, thanks!

Endless Space coupons stack with the sale discount. If you have a 50% off coupon for Endless Space: Emperor Edition and Endless Space: Disharmony you can get them for 4.98 US total. That's almost half of the Endless Space Gold price tag of 8.74 at the current 75% off. Amplitude is pretty cool for allowing this if you ask me.

They sort of already did this with the Batman: The Brave and the Bold game. Albeit that was a sidescroller I believe.
Hey everyone, today I have an extra #7. I need 4, 6 and 8. Just send me a trade, first come first serve and all that. Not that I think Green team is going to win anymore, looks like Red is going to win tomorrow again.

Oh if anyone wants my Disharmony coupon for that just shoot me a trade request.
It took me forever to get this created. Hopefully it will work properly for everyone.
I passed it up the first time, because nobody on my friends list didn't have it. But I can't let it slip by twice! Someone here hasn't played it yet, and we need to fix that.
@Antoshka hit me with Endless Space and Disharmony. Apparently it was on the urging of one @Pixelated Pixie?
No matter, retribution for you both will be swift and merciless. Remember that the sun never sets on the British Empire...because God doesn't trust the English in the dark!

So basically what we need is a Brave and the Bold open-world game?
Thanks @CroakerBC for Age of Empires II HD and the expansion! I don't think I've ever played an AoE game so what better way to start than with the HD Edition.

I could definitely live with that.
Oh man that would be amazing. Brave & The Bold Aquaman is great, and I need him on my team.

He really is the best Aquaman incarnation. Normal Aquaman is mostly made of stone-cold badass, which can get a bit boring, but BatB Aquaman is just so wonderfully boisterous.

Yeee....ees?
I'd say it's closer to Oregon Trail + your tactics game of choice + vikings, but KoDP is also similar, especially in the way the choose-your-own-adventure events play out.
Many times, in battles, you have the option of taking your leaders into the thickest part of the fighting, which makes your individual combat harder but makes the whole thing easier on your (abstracted) army combat, which has parallels in KoDP as well.
They both share the whole food management aspect to it - KoDP is a bit more detailed (with pigs (?) vs. cows vs. farms, contrasted with Banner Saga's more generic "supplies").
So, yeah - there are some good similarities, but TBS isn't exactly like KoDP.

It cracks me up every time I think about "A fish is a fish, even if it's a bug!"
Man, I'm really on the fence regarding the Secret World. I don't give a damn about the MMO aspect but an RPG set in modern times while giving me a crapload of customization options, without having to pay a monthly fee? Sounds to good to be true.

Why am I not surprised Elvenshae likes KODP. Not the same as he notes, but between TBS and Broken Age, go with TBS.
Also you can play KODP on your computer, which IMO is a much better experience (though it comes with an almost-irresistable ability to save scum)
I take it there is no way to upgrade to TSW Massive Edition from Vanilla?
Sure there is. You get a separate key for it from Steam, and you put that key into your account page on the TSW account site. I did it myself back in the Winter sale.
EDIT: Unless you mean "upgrade" as in only pay the difference between the base game and the Massive Edition, in which case, no. But $15 for the three issues is still 50% less than it costs to buy them in-game.
So I mentioned earlier that I already bought a few games during this sale. Two of them were games I'd never thought I'd buy - Farm Simulator 2013 and Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Imagine my surprise when I find out I actually like both of them.

At least when I checked at 10:10, it was 50% off.
If it had been 75%, I'd have grabbed the Season Pass fast enough to make my head spin?

Still no upgrade option for TSW to get the Massive edition.
Weak funcom, weak. I guess you can just keep sending me absurdly enticing AO e-mails even though I haven't played in the better part of a decade.
