Laptop PCMCIA Gameport adapter?

I need something like this for an old gaming laptop:

Are there any other solutions? I have a parallel port adapter and a serial port adapter as well, but it should be noted that PPJoy won't work under Windows 95 and the DirectPadPro stint I had was unsuccessful because apparently the voltage on the parallel port is too low for PSX controllers to function properly (and that's the only kind of parallel adapter I own).

Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to get a Playstation controller -> USB adapter? Or does this laptop not have USB?

This is an old laptop running Windows 95. So I would probably have to format it to an OS that had better USB support, but you're right to assume that it doesn't have native USB ports. That would be another purchase altogether, but this old laptop only supports 16-bit PC cards so I'm not sure if a USB card is viable. I do have a USB Playstation adapter already, though.

But in this case the cost of buying the additional PC card with USB ports wouldn't necessarily be cheaper.

That makes sense. In that case, have you looked on eBay for that type of card? It seems like an extremely limited market for anyone to still be making them now.

Yeah, and I just bought one for like 30 bucks. Mamamia!
