Soooo I'm in my promo's to go from silver 3 to 2, and by the time you see this I will almost certainly have failed miserably. I feel like my level of play is more in the gold range now that I've started jungling with skarner and gotten better with MF as well as the adc role in general, but I still have the worst luck with the promotional series. Every. Damn. Time.

Could one of you much more talented players find it in your heart to duo with me next weekend? I know thats a ways off but work and college and blah blah blah

Also, next champ question: Rengar or Caitlyn? I haven't played either much but they both have the ability to carry, which is really nice.

C9 looks to be back i nshape. And do you prefer ADC or Jungler? Cait for ADC, Jungler for Rengar.

Pretty sure a lot of shit just disappeared into the Nether Realm via Wind Wall during that game. So it was a combination of bed shit and wind wall shit.

CLG's set up made it hard for TF to get a pick and Wind wall during the team fights just says fuck everything you do.

Basically, just ban Yasuo if you don't want to deal with his shit.

Edit edit: Or don't pick Gragas, Nami and/or TF into a Yasuo.

Well, yeah, but TSM fucked up at champ select by blind picking two champions that are countered by yasuo without banning him first, and then failed in the actual game by not using any of the advantages their composition afforded. They had everything they needed to snowball an advantage in the midgame and they did nothing.
There were plenty of things they could have done to work around windwall, but they didn't even try.

e: All they had to do was dive Ryze with TF and Eve on Destiny's cooldown, but instead Bjerg just held on to his ult and Amazing just kinda wandered around aimlessly.

Bjergerking had multiple bad uses of Destiny. Dyrus had a good laning phase, but didn't really have a big impact after that. Plus, no Lee Sin for Amazing.

Basically, after the big TSM win in the top lane early, there weren't any big plays from TF or Eve.

Oh, I agree, which is why there's a double edit. It's like TSM thought of their comp but didn't take the time to think of what can completely wreck it. I don't think Lulu could do as much as Yasuo vs their comp even if she's really good.

oh man it is hard to watch this dig lmq game

e: It really seems like Dignitas lives or dies by Crumbzz. Sometimes he wakes up and decides to be the best jungler in North America, and Dignitas rolls over any opponent like nothing. Then he slumps really hard, either does nothing or actively feeds all game, and Dig folds. He's gotta find some consistency.

ee: also qtpie is in the bottom tier of LCS ADCs

That actually was a pretty poor fantasy game for the players involved, since there were so few kills. Robert's CS record is only worth 7.19 points on its own. He was 3/4/4, so he only got 17.19 points for that entire 80 minute affair. A decent score, but not as earth-shattering as you'd think.
It was much better for the losing team, ironically enough. Cop got ~31 points for example

The only thing worse than a stupid blitz grab on your squishy that causes your team to lose the game.

is a series of stupid blitz grabs by YOUR blitz that pulls the enemy renekton onto you, the ADC, and causes you to die every team fight, and loses you the game

But that was all they could do.

CLG's entire comp was basically: Fuck Bjergsen

    And it worked.

    Windwall+Dash, Rappel, Black Shield, Cleanse+Dash.

Only Ryze in lane was vulnerable to TF, and CLG wanted it that way to snowball bot lane and get dragon control.

TSM probably wanted to not fall into that strategy, but couldn't find the right calls to do so.

Question to the thread! I've settled on pretty much one main champion per role in ranked except for mid, so I'm trying to figure out who to get some practice in on. How's Orianna these days?

I love her for her teamfighting and ability to semi-support, but it seems like she has a really hard time in lane currently. She's still got severe mana problems which isn't great against enemies who don't (especially resourceless opponents), and Yasuo and Braum can completely negate her entire kit which is the worst. Should I keep practicing on her, or are there alternatives which do her job better with fewer issues?

  • TcheldorTcheldor Registered User regular
Ori's fine. If you have mana problems with ori, you're spamming a bit too much.

Braum cannot negate her kit at all. He doesn't block AOE dmg.

Ziggs is always a good pick right now. Lulu is good too.

His wall prevents movement of her ball, which every single one of her abilities centres around.

I consider that negating her kit.

It blocks movement with Q. It doesn't do a thing about throwing it on someone with a gap closer to dive into the middle of their team. Also, Q has a pretty short cooldown, so...

By that stage of the game ball movement should be on a really short cooldown. Just don't blow your other abilities if it hits a wall.

Also if the ball is shielding someone, I think it can go through walls?

I'm always advocating ziggs mid. Ori is fine, though I feel a bit dependant on her team. Syndra is strong, I'd probably main her for solo queue if I didn't have hundreds of ziggs games of experience.

Yasuo and kass are good, but banned often. Not huge on lulu for solo queue, same with TF.

I cant url good so add me on steam anyways steamcommunity.com/id/Raslin

If you play ori well, you can carry most games. She's incredibly strong in lane and does not straight up lose to anyone, shes got great burst and teamfight utility.

Problem is, it's really hard to play her perfectly.
