Though since I played that game incessently I was annoyed at how they squandered the possibility of Foot Bag, which is definitively the best game.
I never had the original, although I had California games 2. Hope they do that one next; Danny seemed a little uncomfortable with the shark on the surfing game, I want to see how he reacts when he realizes that if you crash into the walls of the half-pipe in CG2 you explicitly die, complete with funeral and grieving family.
The grumps playing Dragonball Xenoverse sold me and my brother on a copy. We have been playing it but there's no thread here. Anyone else have it/interested in a thread?

I'm definitely curious but might wait for a sale. But damn if what they showed didn't make me want it sooner

I had no idea about it until the grumps played it, but I've always been a sucker for dbz games, and seeing a lot of comments of it being a really good pc port, I dove right in. Haven't gotten to play it too much, but it feels pretty fun so far. The only thing I don't like is that you only start with one character slot... I really want to see if I like melee-heavy or long range more.

Dragonball Xenoverse does look really good. The idea of making a unique character is so cool. My brothers and I used to play a DBZ pen and paper RPG that was pretty fun (required a ton of houserules, though).
They make me want to get it, but I don't really stay with fighting games for long. I may get it later when it's on sale or something.

I would laugh at the quality of that, but considering some of the idiotic (and fairly high-budget) ones we're now seeing for facebook/iphone games, they were just ahead of their time.

This game seems a lot like those punishing games with lots of annoying deaths, but without the forgiving checkpoint systems. VVVVVV, IWTBTG, Super Meat Boy, stuff like that.
I'm also not sold on Barry and Ross as a pair, I think they both do much better with different partners.

Ross is just Ross. His best game to date is Skyrim because he researched well ahead of time for the speedrun he was doing and was very focused. When he doesn't know shit, he's terrible, and stutters a lot.
Barry is great at games in general, but I don't think he can talk and play at the same time. He does well with quirky games and games where there isn't a need to meet a long goal. FPS games are his territory because if you die, it's just one point. Games like Castle in the Darkness reset you back to the checkpoint, and if he's talking at the same time, his co-ordination seems to suffer for it.

I thought Ross and Danny were a good pair for Sierra games. They both just love the goofy stuff that the giggle meter starts going off the charts at points
Barry on the other hand I think excel at the Super Casual games. Grow home and Deep blue being an example. He does best when he can play the game and talk at the same time and even failure can turn into something fun. He also has a Poke-Dan like aspect of "I love x" when it comes to the cute or artsy games.
I miss Kirby's Dream Course. I remember being able to get 3 or 4 monsters at a time in Vs. mode.
and in solo adventure, all the maps were puzzles and with a little thought and good timing, you could hole in one everything.
I know its a gold standard that anyone could play better than them because they are talking and all that jazz... but the tricks I did
in Kirby would make them wail and gnash teeth at how good I was.
Oh goodie something new! I'm glad they didn't stay with Castle in the Darkness.
It seemed like such a mediocre game honestly.

Someone warn the Grumps not to play FNAF3.
...or at least have them trick Danny to be in the room with it. But then again there will be a Dan shaped hole in the wall as he runs straight through it when he realizes Kevin locked the door.

I had this game as a kid. Pretty sure I remember spotting an arcade machine in Terminator 2 and it blew my mind. I always assumed it was a game hardly anyone knew about
Another one of those how the fuck do people find these tricks like the way speed runners break the hell out of Ocarina of Time.

I think a lot of those glitches come from tool-assisted setups initially, and then I guess they find things that are actually repeatable by real people.
But it is still amazing to see stuff like this happen.

God damn it Dan. You're playing this game awfully all of a sudden.

Could be because Dan was rocking the Seven Mary Three like a pro
That part needs to ae a gg animated
In which dodgy camera angles lead to annoyance and giggles.
It's just the one part!
