At this point I'm just waiting on the unrevealed games to pop up. I probably will drop the $20 on that bundle. Part of me wants to snag the weekly bundle because those are some seriously pretty games to look at. Cinders, Secrets of Raetikon and Ballpoint Universe especially.
I meant to say that @Talus9952 remembered me trying to get The Banner Saga a week or two ago and he generously hooked me up with a cheap steam key. Thanks a lot for that. I'm pretty excited to playthrough it. The animation in it looks amazing. It makes me want to drag out my old Dragon's Lair DVD.
Alos, I think I'm going to finally play through Spec Ops this weekend. Could someone please let me know about the multiplayer. Particularly:
How does the multiplayer in that work?
Can other players jump in/jump out?
Does player 2 takeover one of your guys?
Do you play through the story in co-op?
Can the single player story be continued from where the multiplayer left off and vice versa?
If the multiplayer is good, maybe I could co-op it with someone this weekend (or Sunday and Monday night, rather)
I didn't see an answer to this upthread, but possibly I am blind, in which case, apologies:
1. Multiplayer in Spec Ops was put in, under protest, by a dev team that didn't want it there. It's the standard versus mode, IIRC.
2. From memory, it does allow drop in
3. Player two can be assigned to either team, if I recall correctly
4. There is no co-op/multiplayer story mode
5. Technically the multiplayer occurs before the single player, but as it's not exactly laced with narrative, it's barely relevant
Really, Spec Ops is not a multiplayer game - it's a brilliant single player narrative experience.

If anyone is interested, I'm about to load up my stream to play The Wolf Among Us final episode. Then I'm gonna start my playthrough of Spec Ops like I promised LostNinja last night.
I'm beginning to regret some of my Summer Sale purchases. I'm TERRIBLE at Heavy Bullets and Delver, two First Person games that require em to stay calm so that I don't die, instead of yelping loudly in my home and dying instantly.

This how am in Alpha Protocol. Oh, you went stealth and tech? Well, hope you stocked up on gadgets because this boss fight is going to make you throw your controller across the room. Of course the boss fights I can stealth my way through are hilarious with the 1-hit kills.
Looks like I'm buying The Wolf Among Us when I get home. I loved Walking Dead, but I had never heard of this Fables thing or whatever it is. Tycho's front page post makes it sound so great though, AND it's on sale.
But seriously, how am I supposed to play all these games? SPAZ, SR3, Sunless Sea, and now Wolf Among Us? Geez.
I... I don't even know how to interpret this.

Finished Wolf Among Us! Was quite a ride. I do recommend picking it up on the 50% off sale if you can. Now time to...
...wait.
...I actually don't own Spec Ops on Steam!? Well shit. I'm gonna take a break and go decide if I should get the humble bundle or not for spec ops so I don't have to plug in my 360.

Just did a quick bit of more Twitch stream testing with Heavy Bullets. You can check out my channel on the PAStreamers page, and watch me fail horribly at taking out a turret. And panic. And then immediately die due to said panicking. You'll know it when you see it.
Looking to spend some of my money, I liked having a gaming pad, but mine broke. What are thoughts of razer ordweaver vrs razer Tartarus?
I can't make a good case for either unless you're a laptop gamer.
If you must get one, the more expensive mechanical one (I think that's the orb weaver?) feels much better to me. But really, for that amount of cash you could buy a nice full mechanical keyboard.

If they are the usual Razer quality? Neither.
Just go with the 360 or XBone pad, they're awesome (well, I haven't tried the XBone one.)
Having spent a fair amount of time with the XBone controller, I'd definitely recommend it over the 360 pad. OTOH, if you have a 360 controller already, or can get one for dirt cheap, then the wireless adapter for PC can be found on Amazon for around $20. Either controller is solid, especially for multiplatform games designed with a 360 or XBOne in mind, but if you're buying new either way, the XBOne controller is the way to go.

I have several Razer peripherals that have been pretty darn good to me.
I particularly enjoy the Sabertooth gamepad, which has been rock solid and has great features. I use the on-the-fly button programming & secondary triggers & bumpers pretty much constantly.
I'm indifferent about the Razer mouse and keyboard I have, but they've endured years of hard use so I can't really complain.
Duels of The Planeswalkers: 2015 is upon us, and I love magic SO MUCH that I am giving away a copy to whoever submits unto me the "best" Steam related Magic Card! you don't have to be a master of Magic, just do your best to make a fun card based on your love of Steam, the thread, or other things steam related. I will say that I've been on a hiatus from the thread itself, so SUPER inside jokes might not work as well judging wise, but I will try my best!
If you know your way around magic cards, feel free to be as true to form as possible, but if you don't, have no fear! I will convert your concept into as close a real card format as I can.
RULES:
1) The card requires the following:
-Card Name
-Cost( two blue? RR? 1G? )
-Card Type(creature? sorcery? artifact?)
-What the card does! (vital!)
-Power and toughness (if applicable)
-Flavor Text (like, the most important part!)
2)Submissions are due on Friday, the 11th of July, 9pm Pacific Time.
3) Only one entry per participant (the hardest part!)
4) Keep it Classy! Please no "Fat Gabe Newell" creature card jokes.
5) If you choose to design a card with an image, please credit the original artist.

Damnit, @Pixelated Pixie. You did not need to retaliate with Receiver, but thank you. I can't wait to be mercilessly gunned down by turrets as I fumble to take the safety off my 1911.

Watching Koopah's Spec Ops stream. He just passed my favorite part of the game,
where you inadvertently kill a bunch of civilians with the white phosphorus and the feels really kick in.
Such a good game!
I really feel that this one particular instance is overhyped and was actually very poorly implemented in the game.
If you figure out that the area is filled with refugees, which is not at all difficult to do, since they are just standing around in an area, you don't have the option to NOT kill them. You absolutely cannot progress in the game until you kill them. It has all the moral weight of the "No Russian" mission in CoD, which is to say little or none at all. You are stuck on a roller coaster, and your choices have no relation to the game. If the game designers has spent a day or so in a meeting room figuring out a way to implement that scenario better, they could have given you a reason where you HAD to kill the civilians, not put you in an arbitrary scenario that forced you to kill civilians.
I didn't give two shits for those refugees, because I didn't kill them, the game developers did.
Woke up from a Dota Induced Coma (Seriously The International is such an amazing tournament) and found out that @Chocobolicious has gifted me Sakura Spirits! This game looks totally kawaii and desu and uguu.. I dont know other words. Thanks!
Also @Pixelated Pixie attempted to gift me the same game as she worries for my fapping health, but she was too slow. Dont worry Pixie, I still have those 'other gifts' you sent me to take care of my fapping needs.

Pretty psyched for a physics-based strategy action romp through videogame nostalgia.

oooooo can I get that @cB557? I wanted to play it and stream it for the thread.
If we're getting a remastering of Grim Fandango...does that mean one could hope for one of Day of the Tentacle?
'cause that would be a fat slab of nostalgia from a misspent youth.

I can agree with this but once, but this man is correct.

Never heard of this, but it looks really cool.
So a wolfman watching gay-wolfman porn?
I think they just call it porn.

Dammit @minor incident!
Thanks! Dammit...
I am playing a game.
It's SR3 and I'm holding you all responsible. I'm not supposed to be playing games on the backlog!
Also it is a good week for it as the wife and kiddo are traveling and I have no idea what to do with myself.
got a 90% off coupon for Titan Attacks
$1? sounds good to me.
picked it up
the system, I think she works
Doesn't need a remaster - still perfect.
