You can turn them into the guy next to the original quest giver just south of the Limsa plaza. 1 parcel per special weapon.
So I feel completely lost since I came back to the game on Saturday. I read the original post regarding updates/returning players but there is so much new stuff I'm a bit lost as to what to do and where my character was at previously. I have a level 50 Dragoon with Relic +1 (Zenith I think?) and full Darklight. I have some crafting skills(Cul, LW, GS with WVR and AS not far behind) at 50 and both Mining and Botany at 50. Is there some basic stuff I can do to help the FC or to get myself reacclimated with the game? I ran around as my lvl 31 Warrior earlier since I was lost on my Dragoon and that at least made me feel like I was accomplishing something. I'm tempted to make a new character just to relearn the basics but I'm sure I could pick up my level 10-15 disciplines and level those just as easily to learn how to play again.

Maybe I can get people to go more than once now, other than "to get the stupid quest out of my quest log." The healer ring is BiS for Scholar even at i100, but it's like pulling teeth to get a run together and PF groups are all but nonexistant on Faerie.

Devs are looking into possibly bringing back specific 1.0 items such as Star Spangled Subligar and the Chocobo Mask. No definitive plans or timelines though.
Woot, Morbol Green chocobo get!! Special thanks to Chelliance, who pointed me to this website when I was dancing the random chance off chart on the flow diagram (with opo-opo brown of all things!). That website does mention the random chance involved in some procs and that alternating fruits is important. It really doesn't give much advice on how to alternate, but it was a nice thing to have when I started to feel adrift. YMMV.

Not bad, but it has its problems. Now first, while a picture may be worth a thousand words, it helps when you can summarize what you are trying to do with a picture in one sentence.

So the focus of the attention should be Alsoa and Red. Here is where we have the first problem.
Target locking only changed who is in the middle of the image, so if I target locked Red to take the picture I would only transfer all that empty space from the right side to the left. We want about equal time given to both subjects in the frame. Let's block it out:
Now I could just take off everything on the right third, but that makes things a little cramped in the frame, and since I want what is currently dead center to be right of center without being on the edge of the frame I will take off the right 25%.
Now this fixes the framing, but I can't use this for backgrounds or anything since it is now the wrong aspect ratio. I'd have to cut it down top and bottom too, and damnit why can't I just move my camera and not have to muddle in gimp any time I want to show a good picture?

One of these threads was the main reason for me buying FFXIV like six months ago, and I have a character on Gilgamesh that's 50 BRD, but hadn't really found a home yet. My GF and I were kind of interested in starting fresh on Sargatanas (maybe transferring at a later point) and joining Ghost since the community you've built looks like a lot of fun!
Be cool if I sent a tell to a Ghost member for an invite in a day or two?
