THE LEGEND OF KORRA / AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER TRIBUTE EXHIBITION
Gallery Nucleus and Nickelodeon Studios are proud to present an official art exhibition paying tribute to The Legend of Korra and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
On display will be behind-the-scenes production art and tribute art by select illustrators as well as artists from the TV show. We will also be accepting open submissions from the fans!
Its in LA in March. Looks like Bryan and Mike will be signing on opening day.
My understanding was they didn't want to work with Nick anymore
I think on top of hwich I heard, second hand so take with a grain of salt, that they're taking a hiatus from TV production for a bit, one of them doing movies and the other going into teaching for a while, but not sure what the source on that is
According to Bryan himself, it's just a five-week stint on designing for TV animation, so he's definitely not taking a break from the biz yet.
Characters shouldn't have a sexuality outside of pornography. Also, sexuality is separate from romantic love, so it is unnecessary to bring up sexuality to portray a romance. Korra could have had a relationship with anyone without making it about minorities. This won't end all persecution of bisexuals anyway, so it was pointless.

What is this in response to, exactly?
Korra could have had a relationship with anyone without making it about minorities.
By definition, no.

I honestly can't tell if you're being serious right now.
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor My new novel: Maledictions: The Offering. Now in Paperback!

PLA I have no idea what you just said. I can't follow the dots. Could you please elaborate further?
(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.
He's quoting someone who was complaining about the show's ending.
Some people are just clueless about their own egocentricity. They think that just because something isn't significant to them, then it's not significant to other people. So they complain about it without recognizing its impact on other people.
Nah, midichlorians were dumb because it was an unnecessary explanation.
Genetics are an unnecessary explanation for magicky spirit magic.
Sure. But I have no doubt some Star Wars nerd debated it at some point anyway.
Yes that is basically how nerds constantly ruin just about anything nice.
I think it was Hayao Miyazaki who said, "Otaku catalogue, but they do not understand." (Or something like that)
Which seems pretty true most annoying fandoms. They'll argue over the max speed of the Enterprise in an episode instead of the actual theme of the episode.
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.

Often times people get into the details because they want more. Star Trek fans didn't ignore the story or character development or themes of episodes so they can argue about warp speed. They argued over warp speed because they've already talked about all the other stuff but they like the universe so much that they want to talk about everything relating to the franchise, including all the tiny details.
Not to mention all the people who wanted to integrate their different interests. For example, a lot of early Star Trek fan fic writers were women and minorities who wrote their own stories because even though they loved the franchise, they didn't see themselves represented. Similarly, a lot of people became interested in science and space because of Star Trek so they focused more on the techy elements in the show due to their increasing enthusiasm for science.
Plus I don't see how that affects other people's enjoyment of the franchise. If someone else like some different aspect of a franchise or expresses their enjoyment of the franchise in a different way, how does that "ruin" it? And is it really necessary to condescend towards them and imply that there's something wrong with people who do it?
Hey guys, any word on the M Night Korra adaptation?
Here's what I'm thinking right now:
Korra: Bryce Dallas Howard
Asami: Zooey Deschanel
Sato: Paul Giamatti
Tenzin: Bruce Willis
Mako: Will Smith
Bolin: Jaden Smith
I'd just like you to know that if you get a bloody nose, or even a moderate headache, sometime in the near future, that's just me, trying to hate you to death.

I don't think Shyamalan can get any big name actors to work with him nowadays.
Hiroshi Sato will probably be played by John Oliver
Tenzin will probably be played by Mel Gibson
Mako and Bolin: Macaulay Culkin and Edward Furlong
Korra: Vanessa Hudgens
Asami: Julianne Hough
Amon: Kevin Costner
Voices of Raava and Vaatu: Shyamalan
I wonder if Shyamalan's Airbender movie destroyed his kids' love for the show (and their father).
Also there's this!
Asami looks amazing. I love how Japanese she looks, I always assumed from her clothing that she had Fire Nation heritage even though she was a non-bender.

I don't think I've ever seen anything with her in it, but she was a Disney person, have any of them really turned out all that great?
She's good in Sucker Punch and amazing in The Frozen Ground. The former shows her as an action heroine, the latter shows her skills as a dramatic actress.

That I like. She's proven to be a great actress.
Yeah, but she's also partly Asian, which means she's only allowed to play the villain.

Please make it clear you're quoting someone else in the future, PLA. That goes for everyone else, too! :P

I hope it made them never want to see a movie of his ever again
Where can they go that won't have the same restrictions? Netflix?
M. Night has no need for your facts, especially when he can put himself into a movie.

Also Spring Breakers. That movie was so NOT the silly sexy teen movie everyone thought it was going to be. She was good in that too.
I need to see that.
I thought we weren't supposed to remind her of that?

Yeah, but she's also partly Asian, which means she's only allowed to play the villain.
So Vanessa Hudgens as Kuvira.
Sold.
She might be a little too heavy to play Asami.
At one point, she was the size of the moon.
Chloe Bennet as Asami maybe?
I don't care how old she is now, but Catherine Zeta Jones is forever going to be my headcannon Asami for her portrayal in The Phantom
I mean, this is spot on Asami wear!
She even has the Power Glove (in fashionable leather).
Williams Street/Adult Swim would be my first choice. Netflix after that though.
