Just watched a dev video where the specced Sera as dual dagger.
Considering I'll be playing a rogue archer this makes me happy. Anyone else thinking of changing an NPC's setup?
If I decide to use Varric after all instead of Bull, I'm gonna switch Sera to dual daggers.

Do we know anything more about the tempest spec for rogue?
Do we know if it is/there is a face stabbing spec instead of a back stabbing spec?
I want to slice and dice dudes up but I don't like sneaking.
I want to be up in their faces.
Its called "Warrior".
Nah, I was looking for a non heavy armor variant and I plan on using Iron Bull for all my 2h bashing needs.
2h Warrior is my back-up plan but I'm not a super big fan of the 2h sword design I've seen so far and I prefer the medium armor look. Appearances mean a lot to me!

Well, this is the description for the Tempest.
These unpredictable experts specialize in using alchemical mixtures that wreathe them in frost or flame. Fast, chaotic, and possibly mad, they wade into the fight and dare enemies to face the storm.
So if anyone is debating using EA Access; you will be able to download your world state from the Keep. I figured that would be the case, but they confirmed it on Twitter.

yes yes.
That SOUNDS like what I want. It makes it sound like you just run in like a crazy person and slice dudes up.

I'm really hoping that's what it turns out to be.
No, you run in like a crazy person on fire.

Yeah. I already bought EA Access because the game actually ended up cheaper with the discount.
Though, I think you only get 6 hours and knowing me one of those hours will be dedicated to making a face.

That's one of the reasons I'm considering ordering it. I'm getting a physical copy so this will allow me to pre-load the game and get my character created. Honestly anything beyond that will just be a bonus.
Don't get me wrong, this game looks amazing, but I'm super gun-shy on Bioware products after SW:ToR, DA2, and MA3:Ending. It was like the holy trinity of getting unwanted objects shoved up my ass. I used to give Bioware blank checks (Kotor, Mass Effect). Not anymore. #NeverForget.

Well, wait until impressions and streams come out then?

See, I interpret that description differently. I see it as a kind of alchemical-item chucking/using madman, not so much a slash their face type. But time will tell.
Your inability to apparently run two different programs on a PC is not EA shooting themselves in the foot.
It's a boring topic that is, in fact, happening in the Steam thread right now. Install Origin or buy an appropriate console and quit shooting yourself in the foot.

I mean we needed some years old argument to start rehashing this close to release.
And since EA went pretty light on their DLC packaging this time around, Origin was the next obvious target.

I think you need an Origin account to play it even on console.
I'm actually impressed with how EA is handling Sims 4. They've released both Ghosts and pools as free updates. The pools especially were something everyone thought they'd put into a paid expansion. So I'm decently optimistic about DAI in that regard.

That is almost certainly not the case. You'll need an Origin account if you want to take advantage of the Keep/other online stuff, but I cannot imagine that an Origin account is needed for the regular gameplay experience.

I have an Origin account simply by the fact that I'd signed up for some thing or other to do with a previous sports title. So, it's hardly a thing anyway.
Though speaking of companions I'm a bit surprised how silent Bioware has been on Cole, Solas, and Blackwall.
Like every other character has at least had a bit of an introduction.
I'm guessing they're gonna get an introduction video as well in the near future.
Though Solas is in all of the gameplay videos released two days ago since he's part of your initial party. Bioware also used Blackwall during one of their recent streams.

I totally understand this mindset, and agree with it for anyone who feels that way.
For myself, despite the mistakes that Bioware has made (ME3 ending still hurts a bit), they're still the only game company giving me something even remotely like what I want. So until I find another company willing to take up the slack, I'm still gonna pre-order Bioware titles.

Tempest when referring to someone with swords elicits the image of spinning blades.
It also says "wades in" which implies at least some level of melee focus.
Nothing there really makes them sound like they would be keeping their distance.
It also states that they wreathe themselves in fire and frost.
Covering yourself like that would be fairly useless unless you were getting close to the enemy.

I wonder if there should be a gaming service/website/whatever for "Did the ending shit the bed?" on new games. Said service plays the game, then tells you if they think the ending had merit or if it retroactively ruined the last 60hrs of play.

But I think I'll keep everyone else the same.
I'll probably make Sera use dual daggers during my mage run though.

Pretty much waiting until 30+ reviews are in and it hits steam sale.
That's going to be a LONG wait...
Yup. But those dickbags owe me after I bought SW:ToR collector's edition.
So, uh, never? Since it's not going to be on Steam?
Indian voice actress, weird.
Ah, more EA shooting themselves in the foot. That's like selling in Target only but not at GameStop. Ok, good for you EA. Yup, not buying.

So, EA probably wasn't going to change that any time soon.

As for multiplayer, probably since they use EA servers.

Meh, still not really interested in using her. I guess she can keep the horses fed at Skyhold along with Cole or something.

Counterpoint: lawsuits are expensive. "But they're replica bees!" you say. They start as replica bees, I say.
Kids will be stuffing actual bees in and throwing at old people on the sidewalk, and it'll look like Akira by Christmas.
