Whoa. So my last thread got pushed off. That's not a good sign. D:

Here's a new one!

With a new drawing.

Messing around, but I realized something - I really like it when there's a lot of unrelated crap in one drawing.

The facei s great but its definition does not mix with the blurry art type of the rest of the picture, especially with the flowers and skull.

The book stack seems to be at an odd angle (not in line with the girl) too, at least the top one.

And is that a pot, half tilted over on her left side?

I do like the eclectic-ness of the picture as well.

haha the thing with the paint brushes in it .. your guess is as good as mine
it started out being a human heart
but i never went back and defined it

you're definitely right about the books ... oh man, that's going to bother me >_>

Agreed with Epi on the definition.

Boo for jpeg compression, also. :(

It's a nice little doodle though. I kinda wish there was more contrast in some parts (candlelight being brighter, maybe?) Along with a little more vibrancy in color in a *few* sections...but the subdued palette is nice too, and that could just be a personal preference of mine. I dunno. Even though it's just a sketchy-thing, I think it could look really really nice if there was a little more contrast in a few areas and a little more color saturation in other areas.

I especially like the "softness" of the plant. I don't know why, but I have a thing for "soft" depictions of plants like that. Is niiiice.

for some reason the arms seem a little bit short. it could just be the way the folds of the sleeves and the shading is put together. otherwise, i agree that the muted colors actually work nicely, and the drawing is pleasing to look at.

For a doodle it's some impressive stuff, but i'm sure it'd stand out even more if you sharpened it up a bit. Not too much, but just enough to define the rest of the girl and the background. It is your weakness, remember?

Gotta take a Bruce Lee work ethic to these things sometimes.
