Here's a screenshot of what it looks like when claiming stuff from the stash of your season char that's been turned into a normal char...
I guess that works? Seems messy given how limited inventory and stash are. The character limit seems like it will be a problem as well. I really don't think this game is ready for seasons yet.
season chars already count against your character limit, so when they become normal, they are just there already but without the seasonal-only icon
I know that, but what I mean is the limit is really restrictive already. Someone with two of each character (both genders or SC and HC) without the CE or DD edition literally cannot even participate in the new season without deleting a character.
So after about 7000 shards I finally looted a Marauder helm last night, giving me 5 pieces + RoRG. Now I can stop casting my own Cluster Arrows like a common peasant. Still need the chest so I can swap in my magefist or Hexing pants, and most of my pieces rolled so-so, but it feels very nice to let the machines do all the work.
I guess that makes me the John Henry of Demon Hunters, at least until 2.1 hits and I go whole hog into a Marauder setup.
Thanks to Ant, I have 2 lvl 70 saders. Which is great since that frees up inventory space in the stash and puts the lightning gear I have to use. Also I decided to do a quick Normal A1 cache for shits and giggles with that toon. It was hilarious because I have the 2h mace, thundergod's visage, the helm with the poison nova proc, the bracers that proc 217% weapons damage when getting hit and Bal-kathos (spelling?) wedding band. Pretty much don't have to hit much to kill most things on normal, they just die; especially, if I hit Akkarat's Champion with firestarter rune, since it procs on the effect from the wedding ring. So I can kill a bunch of things by hitting Akkarat's Champion, then horsey and then run through packs of normal mobs until the buff expires. I have pair of shitty firewalkers (they have movement speed and a barb ability), it's really tempting to throw those on for further lols and to track down other pieces of gear that can just add to the lols.
I'll definitely make sure to use that crusader on some non-lol content, but if I ever decide to farm for more RoRG's I think I'll use the other 70 Crusader. I can also stick caches in the stash and open them on the toons that I want to get an RoRG or other cache only leg on, to improve the chances of getting the right stats (though sometimes you get the RNG non-smart loot roll).
Deadset is streaming the new Crusader set (Roland's Legacy) on the PTR and he is doing well in T6 with it. Damage is insane, but as expected wrath management seems dicey without perma-Akkarat's Champion. The set visually looks really badass too.
Yeah no shit, I did t5 rifting for about 3 hours last night on my Crusader. Got a damn good Haunt of Vaxo and 41 Forgotten Souls in the process. What the fuck god is he sacrificing virgins to that he gets 6/6 (probably 5/6) of a set in the same period of time?
I've gambled a ton of blood shards looking for an Angel Hair Braid and can't even get that!

I thought it was obvious, he stole Raziya's loot seed. :rotate:
he has 5/6 and just gambled the 6th piece while i was watching
what the fuck
Are drop rates boosted for testing? Mannercookie recently started a hardcore seasonal crusader and got 6 akkhan, blade of prophecy, condemn shield, 3 fate of the fells and holy damage amulet and stone of jordan in less than 40 hours.

Everyone bas been assuming they're boosted for testing purposes. Pretty much anyone I've watched hasn't had much of an issue gearing to the T4 wall within a short amount of time. Pushing past that and into T6 and 30+ Grifts seems more about chasing rolls than items on PTR too. Other than maybe things like Wohs, SMKs, etc. Haven't really watched any WD or Wiz streams to see if it feels like those are dropping more than normal.

I was really disappointed with how 4pc Akkhan's works with Piro Marella (46%). Instead of the 10 Wrath SBs I was expecting, they were costing 13. I also have 10% RCR from paragon levels. I have no earthly idea why they are costing 13. Does someone know the math on this that could shine a light?

With Piro, 4 pc, and 10% paragon they ought to cost 7. 13 is what you'd get with just piro or 4pc, and paragon. Looks like piro and 4pc don't stack even multiplicatively, you just get whichever is higher.
Last time I reported a bug I had a bunch of people call me a dummy for not including a screenshot. So then I included a screenshot and people just said it's a feature.
PTR has higher drop rates. otherwise how else would people be able to test these things.
the biggest loss of the new set to me is perma prophet. with the new wrathful shotgun is really hard to take down, this new set is a glass cannon that won't cut it in grifts.

People are dumb, but the devs actually see that forum; I don't think any devs read this thread (I could be wrong!), so it at least enhances visibility.

it's very likely that certain set items have a higher % drop rate, though my only evidence is immediately gambling 4 pieces of raekor's with a pile of 200 blood shards after actively trying to get it for many hours on live
The biggest issue I see with this new set is Shield Bash's lack of effective AOE in a game that is dominated by AOE.
Yeah, cool, Pound is neat, blahblah, does a shitload of damage yadda yadda, but the rest of the runes are hot garbage in comparison. There's a lot of item diversity off the table. One thing that kind of does excite me, though, is 2pc Akkhan and 2pc Roland's for a Jekangbord build, for 1000 extra strength from set bonuses. Probably not as good as 6pc Akkhan's, but it's an OPTION.

The Shield Cross rune does AOE damage as Physical and is, in my mind, the best Shield Bash option. I use it quite a bit with the Akkhan set, as Prophet and Laws of Justice: Immovable Object make you nearly invincible while you stand in the middle of packs and bash away. It's a lot of fun and can hold its own on T6. The single target damage falls off a bit, and I usually switch to Pound for the rift guardian.
Is there any consensus yet on the life per hit/life regen changes in 2.1? I just (finally!) got a RRoG, and it has both life on hit and life per second, and I'm trying to decide which would be better to reroll.

Reroll life per second if you're rerolling anything. But probably best to just leave it until 2.1 to reroll at all. You're likely going to want CHD on it now, but a socket on it come 2.1

Yeah, I figured socket would be necessary in 2.1. My plan was to reroll it until I got either a crit stat or a socket. If I get socket, just deal with it until 2.1. If I get crit stat, use that until 2.1, then reroll socket. So I'll go for that. Thanks.
This is a great change. Crusader shields can roll cool down reduction and +skill damage where normal shields cannot, and it never made sense to stick a class-exclusive a ability on a non-class legendary. Thanks Blizz.

SO GLAD this was changed, seriously. I still think they should change Eberli to crusader only as well but this is at least a good start.

Sounds like it's intended to be used with Golden Flense (Sweep Attack restores 3-4 Wrath for each enemy hit).

I think if you use Piro Marella it probably becomes much more manageable. For Shield Bash, at least. Sweep will be harder.

This is why I wish we had dynamic ability tool-tips
No idea. You should try reporting it in the bug report forums.

BUT, they've moved that affix to a CRUSADER ONLY shield now, the "Unrelenting Phalanx"
