I got strung along SOME MORE. Today the guy said that the HR meeting to finalize all hiring for Q3 and Q4 will happen on Friday.
I am actively looking for something else but no new interviews. So far I have been waiting 6 weeks for an offer, from the initial interview. This is kinda crazy and I've never experienced it before. Also never worked with a company that was willing to do interviews for a position they weren't ready to offer to a person.
I am waiting and looking. Hopefully I will get a yes before I consume what little savings I had and have to start exploring WIC options.

It depends from which country you're emigrating from.
For us (SA) at least, there was a point system, for the residency visa. For the work visa, you just need a job (work visas are job specific) which is a bit of a pain. The type of jobs could be a problem maybe? Anything IT is pretty much an in. But it's suprisingly varied, i.e. hairdresser.
Having a job counts as a boat load of points towards your residency visa though.
Requirments are pretty much speaking english or having 5 million dollars.
