    Pretty damn boring.

Worse was when he brought his girlfriend along to things. She was somehow worse. All you could do was stare at her enormous tongue while she spoke. Watching it flop out of her mouth. Wondering how she manages to keep it in her mouth. Does she accidentally bite it often? Somehow she's still talking. It's probably about rowing. It's always about rowing. It's amazing that there is so much to say about rowing. Maybe she's not actually talking about rowing. Maybe it's a code. Maybe she can only articulate ideas through analogy with rowing. Maybe she's asking for help.

My dad had a couple of those last week.

Apparently he spotted a weird black spot (which the doctors assured him is nothing at all, just residue from a childhood head injury) which he now blames for anything he can't remember or do.

I know a couple like that, they are the most boring people to grace gods green earth.

I've seen people go from feigning mild interest to wishing for death within seconds of beginning a conversation with either of them. Who's death are they wishing for? After a certain point they're not fussy anymore.

Harry Potter: Harry Potter uses magic.
Lord of the Rings: Mordor is not a real place, Sauron doesn't exist.
Star Wars: There is no historical data that proves the existence of that galaxy.

One time my friend and I discussed what a movie would be like if the actors were all pretending to be other well-known actors.
