Man. I started the mini-chapter called "The Struggle."
Solo Moira is a BEAST. I know you can switch to the crazy old guy, but there's no need to. Like ever. You know that combo I mentioned earlier with Claire and Moira, where Moira blinds them with the flashlight and then Clair kicks them down and then Moira stabs them with the crowbar? In this chapter, Moira is able to do all that herself. I was two shotting those brute zombies with the big two-handed sledge hammers.
Also, am I crazy for wanting to start a New Game + in Invisible Mode?
(I actually need to set this game aside for now and play Bloodborne, since I bought it and everything... but I really don't want to leave Revelations 2 behind yet.)
So after having viewed the "good ending" of the game, I have one question/complaint--
What was up with Claire's sudden costume change when she shows up in the helicopter? The player has been conditioned to recognize Claire up to that point by her ponytail. When she shows up with short, above the shoulder cut hair, it threw me for a loop. I didn't initially recognize her as Claire.
To make matters worse, with the bright red button-down shirt she was wearing, my first thought was "ADA WONG" and I was thinking to myself, "Wow, that was out of left field. Why did Ada Wong show up in a helicopter with a sniper rifle to save Barry and Natalia?"
Obviously I figured it out that it was Claire. but the change was jarring.

Really? I actually would have been surprised if she hadn't changed.
I mean she just barely made it out alive and was probably stuck in hospital for ages, and is racing to the rescue to arrive at the very end of Barry's mission a whole 6 months later. Maybe it's the video quality or something, but I thought it was pretty apparent.
Although to be fair, I was actually expecting that very thing to happen as soon as we saw the intro to Episode 4.
"Yep, she's going to be the wild card riding to the rescue at the very end".
Heck, as soon as I saw monster Alexis Wesker getting shot up from off-screen, I automatically presumed it was Claire, not Moira. Her I wasn't necessarily expecting to still be alive.

I wasn't expecting the same set of clothes. It made sense that she changed her outfit. But it was a little jarring to see her with a different haircut and wearing the shirt that Ada Wong is famous for wearing.

Honestly, I think its time they retire Ada. Don't have to kill her off like Wesker (Albert), but I don't feel she adds anything to the (bizarre) story of the Evilverse anymore.
In fairness yeah, that does look similar. Don't think I've seen that one before.
EDIT:
In other news, Co-op Raid Mode seems to work fine, played a few games.
I've ignored it so long, I forgot there's a blue door in the Vestibule, which is used to set up a multiplayer lobby that people can join, and you can set it so that only people of similar level join. At which point someone else joins into your Vestibule and you can go on missions.
Or else you can just head for the main door and do a quick match. Regardless, I definitely needed a co-op partner for the Code Red missions.
And in the epilogue cutscene, they show Claire driving in a car, talking to an uknown person on the phone, and she mentions that Chris is over in China, which is a direct reference to RE6. That puts the ending of Revelations 2 somewhere near the beginning of RE6.

Maybe... Maybe Claire Redfield is Ada Wong!
Well if we go by Leon A, Claire B in RE2, she somehow managed to throw herself a rocket launcher. :P
So while we're on the topic of RE2, can anyone recommend a really good "Let's Play" of it? By somebody who's skillful, knows what they're doing, doesn't waste a lot of time, and isn't annoying to listen to as they play through the game? I'd actually really like to see a playthrough of the game since I'm unable to do it myself, due to walking into walls all the time, but I don't want to let that stop me from enjoying what I've heard is one of the best in the series.
I started a NG+ in Revelations 2 using Invisible Mode. It's harder than I thought it would be. In rooms with multiple enemies, getting flanked is a super real concern.
I have one complaint regarding new modes - I very much dislike having to spend my hard earned BP on unlocking each chapter in invisible mode. There are other modes and options you have to pay to unlock too. It's actually a double-gated system. First you have to earn the right to unlock it, usually by beating the chapter normally, or in a few cases by completing the entire game. Then you have to spend BP to actually buy it. I don't like that. Especially with how expensive some of the later talents are. The very last one that allows you to Move-cancel is like 100K BP. That's ridiculous.

The trend towards "grind EVERYTHING" in modern games is one that I've hated since it started and it's only gotten worse over the years (to be honest even Raid mode has too much of this), yet whenever a game doesn't get it and instead present everything up front, I consistently see complaints that you haven't got anything left to work towards. As if the grinding is more important than the fun.
I'll admit that I'm one of the people who likes to unlock stuff. Having everything unlocked for me at the start just doesn't feel good to me. Like if I bought Smash Bros and all of the characters were unlocked immediately then I would play it less than I already am.

I can kind of understand that, but let me give you an example.
Right now in Revelations 2 there's an "event" going where there's a GIANT monster on the horizon trundling towards you. I wasn't entirely sure what you're supposed to do, so I emptied my ammo into it. Still nothing, the health bar didn't even go down. And no matter how long I waited, he didn't seem to be getting any closer.
So then I exit the level, and I see this:
Seriously guys? Seriously, your community event is literally logging in and dumping ammo into a monster and logging out again for the entire month?
I don't even know what's supposed to happen if it does croak. It's almost like a meta-commentary on skinner boxes, why is this supposed to be fun?
EDIT: On the plus side, Raid mode co-op seems to be working out fine. Your characters tend to level up faster when there's two of you to tear through levels.
One more Revelations 2 question. Are the extra episodes meant to be played after the main episodes?
Definitely. They both revolve around big plot points of the game. The Struggle is a little less spoilery, but Little Miss should be played after the main game.
I am totally in love with Revelations 2. This is absolutely the direction I want the series to head in, although it does of course have its problems. But the (good) ending made up for almost all of them. I could not stop laughing during it. It was so absurdly satisfying, I don't even think any other RE endings can top it.
I'm playing on PS4. If anyone is interested in a Raid partner, my PSN ID is rex95605.
Got Resident Evil 6 dirt-cheap as part of the Capcom Essentials package and made myself finish things up (I once rented it long ago). Man, what a slog. So now I've done everything except Ada, which I've heard is the best part of the game.
...except her bit appears to be a truly shitty stealth thing where it's nigh-impossible to avoid getting spotted and swarmed with zillions of dudes you can't possibly kill because she has low ammo.
Am I missing something? Or should I just ignore it and move on?
Most of Ada's "stealth" sections are not really stealth in the Splinter Cell / MGS vein. Really those sections are just exercises in finding alternate paths. Most encounters are "stealth" by simply skipping them. You go through side hatches, crawl spaces, and things like that. You don't really do much actual stealthing.

...well of course it is. RE6 is nearly as dumb as your average Michael Bay movie. Thanks.
They way over-use her grappling hook. If you get in a bind or an inescapable situation, chances are that you can look up and find a grapple point. It happens all the damn time in her campaign. She's basically just a one-trick-pony who is given ample opportunities to use that trick.
During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2015, in the Digital Contents business sales of the special feature title "Monster Hunter 4G" (including "Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate") were largely in line with the plan and "Resident Evil Revelations 2" which is sold in an ingenious manner (separate digital download sales of each episode followed by package sales) has also made a strong start to be a million seller.
Happy to hear RE: Revelations 2 did well. And while I'm not sure I'd go so far as to call the manner in which it was sold "ingenious," I did like its mix of digital and retail options. Admittedly, it was confusing.

I should finish the game myself. Had quit because Barry's chapter 2 started to slog for me.
Barry himself is totes awesome and tons of fun to play. But I did not enjoy controlling Natalia as much as I enjoyed controlling Moira. And given the way they have engineered the game to require a spotter in nearly every room, you spend about 85% of your time controlling Natalia/Moira, and you only need to control Claire/Barry when something needs shot.
And so the Natalia sections all dragged for me.
The problem is that her brick throwing ability is just really finicky. The brick-stun that is supposed to combo with Barry is not very reliable. Getting the stun combo with Moira/Claire was way easier.
Plus the AI for Natalia was exceedingly stupid and any time you switch to controlling Barry, the first thing the AI does with Natalia is drop her brick. I don't know how many times I made a quick switch and when I went back to Natalia I was like "Where the fuck is my brick?!"
Yeah, Natalia loses her brick if she gets hurt, uses a ladder, slides down an incline or even opens a door. No idea why they decided they needed to make her only weapon so hard to hold on to.
However, when it's fully powered up the brick can one-hit kill most enemies. I once killed three zombies with one thrown brick. It was glorious.
Yeah, I'm not saying her brick itself is bad. I'm just saying that it can be finicky and sometimes I experienced throws where I scored a direct hit and it just fell to the ground without any affect.
And then there's the problem of her always dropping the brick anytime anything at all happens. They really ought to patch it so that you can at least carry the brick through doors.

Better solution:
"Natalia, I always feel it's important that a young girl learns appropriate life skills. Maths for example.
So today I'm going to teach you about the numbers .357. They will soon become your best friends."

Yay!
Darnit, I haven't finished Code Red yet. I was finding it tough enough as it is. :x
Well I suppose that's reason enough to co-op the remaining stages.

I just can't do the tank controls.
