It's your GW2 password.

So.......remember how I said that the patch tomorrow is Achievement Christmas?
Turns out it's more like Achievement Christmas-pocalypse.
There are collections for exotic weapon skins. No big deal. But there's also collections for BLACK LION WEAPON SKINS that award BLACK LION WEAPON TICKETS.
Oh, and there's an achievement collection that awards a TREASURE CHEST that you can open every day in your HOME INSTANCE. Here's the catch: the collection is a bunch of random hard-to-get items, like the exotic version of Ulgoth's Tail (which has already shot up from 5 gold to 198 gold on the TP) and Infinite Wisdom, which is gotten randomly from chests and the Mystic Forge (shot up from 6 gold to 60 gold already).
So....tomorrow's going to be NUTS you guys. Nuts I tell you!

Dulfy has a very preliminary Collections list up - by her own admission probably only 20% of them right now. Some interesting ones:
Uncanny Canner Collection
Collect all 11 jarred trinkets from vendors around Tyria (mostly for cheap amounts of Karma, not all items confirmed yet)
Reward: Uncanny Jar (20 slot bag)
Ambrite Weapon Collection
Reward: 50 AP and Ascended Armor chest (double click to choose a piece of ascended armor)
Weapons are crafted by combing the Ambrite Fossilized Insect, Nomad’s Orichalcum Imbued Inscription and tier 6 weapon components (Artificer/Huntsman/Weaponsmith 400)
Ambrite Fossilized Insect can be earned by doing the Maguuma Wastes reward track in addition to finding them inside buried chests in Dry Top
Treasure Hunter Collection
Reward: Enchanted Treasures Chest (Delivers an enchanted chest to your home instance that replenishes itself daily)
(The list is wayyy too long to list here - it's a mix of karma purchased items, drops from world boss chests, and items crafted in the Mystic Forge)
Hey here's a stupid question I just realised I don't know the answer to. What the hell is your home instance?
It's that instance you entered way back at the beginning of your Personal Story. Not surprising you don't remember, since having to enter it more than maybe twice for your Personal Story is the exception, not the rule.
Also known as Salma District (Divinity's Reach), Hero's Canton (Black Citadel) Dreamer's Terrance (Grove) Applied Development Lab (Rata Sum) and Hunter's Hearth (Hoelbrak) While technically your character's home instance is the one tied to your race, any home instance you enter will have any home instance upgrades and rewards (normally 1/day resource nodes) that you've unlocked.
In unrelated news, according to Dulfy, one of the possible titles you can get from Collections is Honorary Skritt (!!!!) which I know is of interest to a lot of you.
I know some FA guilds have applied for the adopt-a-dev thing, so we may have some around. I think we oughtta make them scout gari the whole time ("make sure you refresh all the siege!").
I think it's a good idea though, devs oughtta interact some with the playerbase, not just in WvW but everywhere.
It's gonna be awkward watching siege get chain-disabled with a dev right there in the channel though

Having them run supplies or guard/watch a tower as well. Many tasks in WvW [when trying to win] are not the most enjoyable or intellectually challenging tasks. We could have the dev treb towers/keeps for an hour or two on end as well. I used to do that in stonemist while watching movies.

Patch is up. 2 fairly major WVW changes:
Dead players can no longer linger on the ground indefinitely and will be forced to respawn at a portal keep after 5 minutes.
Area-of-effect revive skills no longer revive NPCs from dead.
They also say they've fixed the bug that glues you to siege after you build it, thank god. That plus no more mesmer corpses camping in keeps are the two best wvw changes and they never even mentioned them.
Kinda sad to see bannering the lord go though, that led to a lot of epic keep saves.

Also, apparently they decided to make Black Lion Chests worth a damn:
Removed the following items from Black Lion Chests:
Scroll of Knowledge (+1 skill point)
Essence of Luck (50)
Essence of Luck (100)
Basic Dye Pack drops rates have been reduced by half.
Added the following items as uncommon drops from Black Lion Chests:
Flame Dye Kit
Frost Dye Kit
Deathly Dye Kit
Toxic Dye Kit
Metallurgic Dye Kit
Lion’s Arch Survivor Dye Kit
Lion’s Arch Commemorative Dye Kit
Heavy Crafting Bag
Large Crafting Bag
Medium Crafting Bag
Utility Primer
Weapon Tickets and Weapon Ticket Scraps have increased drop rates.
All minis, backpacks, endless tonics, and permanent contracts have slightly increased drop rates.

Looks like they've only buffed up some ranger skills, not really addressed any of the fundamental issues. Like, what's the point of buffing up longbow traits if they are overloaded into one traitline - thus making several of the improvements pointless. Read the Wind remains further "haha" you need this to make the LB even effective at long range in PvP/WvW, but you have to give up other traits which make the LB useable...
I'm not seeing any changes to 1h sword for rangers(?) GS gets buffed again. They might as well remove all other ranger weapons than GS and LB at this rate.
So, apparently, when they rejiggered the order of the Personal Story missions at the end, they cut out all the missions related to the "Greatest Fear" choice you made at the end of A Light in the Darkness.
If you're character was already on one of the missions to begin with, you can do the rest of the chain (up until Battle of Fort Trinity, then it moves onto the new mission order) but the reward for finishing is just the new loot bags they added to each PS mission.
EDIT: Or maybe not, I'm reading a lot of conflicting things on the forums, and no dev post about them yet.

Hmm, I'd say that sword got an indirect buff with the addition of the +10% vs slowed/immob enemies trait.
The change to pet traits is nice. Pet traits still need a bit of something, though.

the axe 1 ability ricochet giving might is pretty nice. Hopefully all the talk of the devs possibly working on enemy AI will help with pet AI as well.

GL with that. I hear dev adoption.... you have to have a yard... flea treatments and vet visits. Dev adoption is serious business.
Nah, but they do require a giant stock of free candy dispensers and a lifetime supply of dry erase markers.
I've been to ANet's offices.
We don't really WvW enough as a guild to support this, sorry.
They just need a place to use the bathroom and occasional affection.

those are pretty good.
no more zombie sqwuad ever....
Huh that's pretty cool. It looks like the vulnerability has no ICD. Leap finisher only makes it kind of tricky to use though.
Gardians.
oh damn, i forgot, thanks!
Still kinda useless compared to supply drop, but hey, buff's a buff.
hahahaha

Flamethrower... what? /confused
was the buff to flamethrower that significant?

All is forgiven ANet. Also the mantra daze effect sounds neat.
