Yeah, it would be nice to see them make an effort to add in the missing combinations of franchise/role.
We know the next 3 heroes are Thrall, Sylvanas, and Lost Vikings. Sadly, none of these heroes are filling any of those missing combos.
We're missing Starcraft/Warrior and Diablo/Support. We recently discussed the SC/Warrior combo and came up with a few suggestions -- Zealots, Firebats, Dehaka, Immortal.
I think Diablo/Support will be harder, because there's not really a support kit. There are support abilities, but not an entire kit. I think probably the D2 Druid is one of the best possible fits. Give him a Creeper Vine build. In D2, the Creeper Vines would do damage and return that damage as health to the druid. It wouldn't be too far of a stretch to allow the damage leech to also apply to allies. Another option for a heal for the D2 Druid would be the Carrion Crows. Again, you would send them out to attack a target and then they would return to restore health.
The other good option would be a Paladin or Crusader. Give them Holy Bolt, which would be a rapid fire healing spell. Give it like a 0.5 refresh and make the Healadin character a rapid fire healer with low heal per cast, but is constantly casting.
So I've been out of the game for awhile after the Murloc thing happened for awhile and after finally coming back around, I see Malfurion.
DAMN. They REALLY made him look amazing! His new model is fantastic. I even submitted a ticket about how he looked too old and withered for some immortal archdruid.

They can go outside the player character roster too. Making a hero out of those pygmy shamans that would resurrect their allies would make for a support character and trigger flashbacks for many players.

On the subject of playable characters from the enemy roster, I think Raikanishu would be a fantastic addition to Heroes. Give him the lightning enchanted ability he had in D2. When he takes damage he sends out randomized lightning sparks. That could be his trait. He would serve as a foil to auto attacking heroes, and heroes with a fast rate of attack like Valla and Tychus.
I figure the Crusader will end up being the tank-"support." Probably will bring over the Mantra system as a talent choice between them. Have a passive effect then a active that massively boosts it for a short time.

Make sure they're the little asshole skeleton ones that don't really do much melee damage, but shard for most of your health apiece when you kill them.
Gazlowe is a character that almost never shows up in games except when he's free. He isn't that popular, and honestly I don't think his kit is very good. Yes, he can be very effective in the right hands, but I feel that many other specialists bring more benefit than he does.
Oh god I want a Exploding Palm monk in HOTS. That would be AMAZING.
Monk Kit:
Way of the 100 Fists
Dashing Strike
Blinding Flash
Ult:
1) Seven Sided Strike (7 high damage hits against random targets in range) - Level 20 Upgrade is Fulminating Onslaught (AOE blast on hit)
2) Exploding Palm (DOT + Explosion on Death) - Level 20 Upgrade is Essence Burn (Palm Spreads on Death Explosion to anyone in the radius)

He's awful on some maps too. Haunted Mines has only 3 merc camps and grabbing skulls is more time consuming since all his abilities have setup time.
The problem with Gazlowe is that they took away what made him good and gave it to other specialists who could already do more than he did, and he never got anything in return to make up for it. Why would you take Gazlowe when you can take Nazeebo?
He's kind of like Murky right now in that you'll only see him during free weeks because Blizzard still can't figure out a proper niche for him, so he remains in this undertuned limbo that requires other heroes devoting an inordinate amount of time supporting them(i.e. Abathur) just to bring them up to effective.

Gazlowe can go near other melee heroes without getting splattered since his turrets shoot while they try and chase him.

Deckard Cain.
His Ult is making everyone type in the lyrics to his rap song and those that make spelling errors get debuffs for each mistake.
DONE.

q:build bunker and lil marines hop in, one talent could add a flamebat to it
w:build barracks that would spawn lil marines that march down the lane (think abathur)
e: repair fortification / when enemies die near you, you can collect minerals that will let you buff structures up to 200% of their health
Ults: airdrop a command center on top of the enemies for a massive aoe stun + dmg
spawn a factory that pumps out vultures that cruise down the lane and plant mines and shoot grenades

I'd say Zagara. Depending on build, she can solo a grave golem around level 11 or 12.

You can solo a Golem as soon as you get Battle Momentum if you have a full mana bar and time out your roach drops correctly. It just takes forever.

Nazeebo or Zagara, and neither have to really do any special builds to do it. (Unless you really want to be able to solo golems)
