Bed covers

Magus`Magus` The fun has been DOUBLED!Registered User regular
Pretty simple question this time. For whatever reason, I like heavy blankets over not so heavy ones. I used to have one, a quilt I think, that really had weight to it. Problem is, it's all torn up now. Unfortunately all the replacements I've tried don't feel very heavy (dense?). Any tips? Note: my replacement is a comforter. I don't know what normally weighs more.

You could try finding one filled with down, maybe? If you're not allergic...I seem to remember comforters and pillows filled with down felt heavier and denser to me than regular cotton-filled.

If you can afford it, or knit it yourself, a handknit blanket will be substantially heavier than a store bought blanket. You can also layer blankets to make them feel heavier, or get a duvet for the comforter.

I've got to agree with the layering of blankets. Really adds a lot of weight and if they're thin, it'll remain fairly cool.
