So here's a question, in light of the Soraka rework coming this week; is there any way to get a solid amount of health regeneration while having a low maximum health?
The "best" idea I've come up with is grabbing Talisman of Ascension and then stacking mana to take advantage of the Strength of Spirit mastery.
playing poppy and buying philosopher stones
I remember one of the few times I did philopoppy I was solo against another philopoppy. It was constant thunder and fury but no lightning as it was absolutely pointless to try and push each other out of lane, let alone kill one another. We eventually settled on a silent agreement and merely farmed the rest of laning phase.

That's the list of characters who can definitely break her ult from outside its range. There are some others that might be able to but I'm not sure about ranges (e.g. Urgot level 16 ult range, Trist ult range, can't remember what happens with Trundle earthdick, etc.
Perhaps ghostcrawler = metzen and he's the one messing up the lore.
If so prepare for awkward daddy issue fuelled rampages.

You could also abandon CS entirely and jungle. Last hitting isnt really a thing there, but objective control and map awareness are a much bigger deal than when laning.
Actually, the jungler has the most important last hit in the game
Then the stack philo, pick, heart and spam wards as support...
So through a hellish mix of people (and i mean the dregs of human society) i managed to get demoted down to Silver 3, but then go on a thunderous win streak up to get back up to Silver 2 and haven't dropped a game yet and I'm in promos again. Of course the law of league is that I'm basically going to get stuck with people that can barely function at a conscious level for at least my next 2-3 games.
But dang Nami is pretty much easymode in Silver. It is nice that once you make a few plays all the retards are generally willing to follow you since you can heal them and help them get more kills. Sometimes I wish people would just take a turret instead of blindly diving through the jungle behind 2 towers to try and catch a Nid,Fizz,Ez or similarly evasive champ only to die to the respawns.

So, Warwick jungle is still a thing? Remains a thing, has always been a thing.
1-0 into my Gold I promos now running WW jungle for the past 4-5 games, all wins.
Machete -> Wits End -> Feral Flare -> Visage or Sunfire -> BORK -> Sunfire or Visage
I remember getting chewed the fuck out about it a couple of years ago when I was in Bronze, telling me it wasn't viable.
Platinum V incoming says it is.
WW jungle was one of the first things that I started to play regularly as a season 2 scrublord. Then everyone yelled that it wasn't viable. Then it became viable. Then it wasn't. Then FF happened. Now
Yeah WW has always been viable I think. The ability to completely shut down an enemy champion and give your team the HEY KILL THIS THING. KILL THIS THING RIGHT HERE THAT I JUST HOWLED AT AND LEAPED ON
is an amazing amazing skill in solo queue.
Few other skills in the game have the same "WE'RE GOING IN RIGHT FUCKING NOW ON THIS DUDE"
Malphite's ult does, but it's spread over a group.
Some days Blue wonders why anyone ever bothered making numbers so small; other days she supposes even infinity needs to start somewhere.
As more teams run protect / disengage / cover comps, Ashe becomes less useful. She's great for certain teams and certain strategies, but "catch someone with an arrow and blow them up!" is less useful when every team has a lulu ult or thresh lantern (or whatever) to counter with.
But you misunderstand, in solo Q none of those things exist.
Catch someone and blow them up and watch the enemy team blame that person for being caught is the #1 best way to win soloq.

If you're feeling particularly mean, abuse all chat and they'll REALLY implode.
I wonder how people would feel about the Shurima and Sion lore if they hadn't announced they were doing big things like removing summoners and the league.
I think all of the lore they've put forth in the last month is utterly fine, if a bit trite, but acting as though it's any worse than the writing they used to have is taxed to contain you. It's also the most work in the shortest amount of time I've seen from them and I'm willing to believe there's a lot of stuff the lore team has worked on that's just waiting for other people to finish models and balance and the like.

That group is usually pretty solid, but it sure did throw me a no-hitter today.
I'm thinking of ending my SR boycott and trying to work my way back into ranked again. I'm looking for recommendations for champs to learn.
Difficulty: I play locked camera and refuse to learn unlocked. I can play any lane on blue team, but purple is obviously handicapped. For champs I used to be good at:
Top: I'm most comfortable here, especially if I can get my main, Singed. Not many top champs have extreme range, so I should be able to manage with anyone. I was good with Talon, but his nerf feels like it will make him much less viable.
Mid: I fare pretty well with mages, preferring low-mid range like Ryze, Kat, and Malz. I have a habit of hugging the bottom of the lane, so need some escape when I forget to ward and get ganked.
Bot: I'm good in either role blue team, but purple I am fucked if the opponent is pushy. I need to be able to keep minions at the middle of lane or further to be able to see. I usually go Trist here, but it's my worst role. I'll run Sona for support, since I can "accidentally" push with Q.
Jungle: I've never jungled, but I probably should. Might reduce my handicap the most. No idea what junglers would suit me.
Any recommendations? I'll probably try to learn a top, jungle, and support, but should have someone in each role that I'm less terrible with.

So with no Summoners, to justify the 5v5 fights on the rift, does this mean that Riot needs to create a faction for every conceivable 5 champion team comp, and then list reasons they would want to fight every other 5 champ team comp? Cause that would be great. I would read like 10 of those before I realised there were almost 200 million teams.

I get the feeling the "lore" "writers" for League are the people who couldn't make it as lore writers for Blizzard.

Top: Singed is rarely seen these days and Talon is a good mid. Nidalee, Maokai, Alistar and Ryze are all hot top laners at the moment. Rumble is enjoying something of a mini-resurgence after he saw play in worlds. Tanky picks are still viable, so Mundo, Shyvana and Trundle are still things.
Mid: Assassins and long-range poke are the hot items. Zed, Xerath, Ziggs, Talon, Yasuo and Orianna. These are a lot of high-skill cap champs. Ziggs is pretty hard to mess up though.
ADC: Pretty much anybody. You might get shit for playing Ashe or Quinn, but everybody else is perfectly viable.
Support: Also pretty open. Janna is currently enjoying a revival, and most supports are viable.
Jungle: Go with something that has a clear initiation and lockdown. Amumu, Vi, Nunu and Warwick are all viable at low elo. As you go up, you'll see more damage like Kha'zix.

I think the Shurima stuff is really, really clunky. I could deal with the writing style I guess if the story there were worth telling.
I have absolutely no problems with what I've seen of the Sion stuff. If the worst thing about it is that a guy is named "Darkwill" then they're actually doing really well. Plus I like hearing things from the Noxian side of the story. "Sion the Hero" is a story I could get behind. I just hope I'm not utterly disappointed when he becomes blandly evil from the transition to undeath.
Also LeBlanc is probably the most interesting character in League so the more of her the better. If they ever do a lore pass on her I hope that "LeBlanc" is just a title fought over by the leading illusionists of Noxus, and whoever comes out on top assumes LB's image.
Somehow, the mad chemist Singed isn't as toxic as Teemo.
Proxy Singed was pretty awful when that was popular.
You know, for all the whining, I never saw someone actually do that in game. But I will always hate Singed because of my time on TT.
Just had someone do it on my team a couple of days ago. He gave up 17 kills but still got assists and CS and as such was worth tons of money and ultimately caused the other team to win, as he gave them a bunch of gold and seldom was with us for fights. Or maybe we just didn't take advantage of the pressure his proxying created. It wasn't fun for us or them.
It used to work because death streaks reduced your gold worth to almost 0 and you could farm their entire base and be worth nothing. Now it goes up with cs and assists.

Pretty much directly in response to proxy as I recall. Non-interactive strategies are bad for the health of the game.
