i was sad cuz when i was in tanzania we saw a cheetah attempt to catch a gazelle but it failed

That is pretty sad. I watch animals die in documentary series all the time, but one time I saw a cheetah fail to catch an impala on consecutive days, as she was trying to feed her young cub. It was devastating. Their energy expenditure on those chases are ridiculous.

Uh no I am taking them because I need sleep.

Seeing a gazelle get killed wasn't the highlight of my day but when I say it darkened my mood I only mean I'm not as enthused to be wasting sleeping time refreshing chat. Which is probably a good thing.

that is the 3 biggest topics in C++. templates especially. whenever I want to feel inadequate as a programmer I just search "C++ template metaprogramming" and start reading.

Fuck you Chinese machine builder engineers. All telling the customer our software had a memory leak. I just spent a week running long-term tests (why I have been posting so much) and the conclusion? Our software has no leaks, no critical fragmentation issues. Memory usage is high but well within spec.

This morning, I finally get a hard drive image of the PC that keeps crashing with out of memory errors. The culprit that is OBVIOUSLY visible from task manager? THE SOFTWARE WRITTEN BY THE CHINESE ENGINEERS.

YOUR SOFTWARE HAS THE MEMORY LEAK YOU COLOSSAL CUNTS! AND ITS SO OBVIOUS THAT YOU ARE EITHER 100% INCOMPETENT OR BLAMED US IN BAD FAITH TO BUY TIME!

but then the bear was limping when it finally got away and then it laid down and curcled up in the most pitiful heartbreaking way while attenborough is going "He will not survive"

yeah oregon state is on a term/quarter system instead of a semester system, so it's 11 week terms instead of 16 week semesters

so it's already a bit accelerated

and this c++ class is 8 credits and covers the first two intro classes (like a 101+102 combo)

C++ templates are sufficiently complex that you can create a Turing-complete program that executes as the compiler compiles the code. the output of the program is the compiled code.
