Look man there is no deck better then elves. It takes that silly ramp deck you made when you were 16 and makes it an unstoppable behemoth casting monster.

Untap each creature you control with a +1/+1 counter on it during each opponent's untap step. Abzan soldiers march to war confident that their Houses march with them.

The old "show me a force and we're done here" approach.

if no? lets go to game 2
thats how we do

I also really loved that mesmeric orb/narcomeba/blasting station/basalt monolith deck that could take forever to combo out because while it would statistically get there eventually it had to rng its way to it

just because of how dumb and solitaire-y it was
hang on describe this combo to me
or wait does it have like, an eldrazi in the deck or some graveyard shuffler?

So an article today mentions a card in Khans that will cost XXBBBB and be Standard viable
I'm... intrigued?

"A man who celebrates Magic's entire card pool." — Patrick Sullivan on Greg "Can't Resist a Deal" Hatch, who is running maindeck Vile Rebirth in his Jund Aggro deck at the SCGInvi. I sure wish Hatch streamed at times other than 3am EST.

development maybe pushing some power to throw a bone to devotion strategies amidst all the gold cards?
If it's like most of the strange sounding cards they hint at before every set, it's probably got either an alternate casting cost (maybe morph) or a way to make it cheaper, e.g "reduce the cost by B for each creature you control that attacked this turn."

Win on turn 1/2 or go home
Multiple attack phase cards incoming?
yep
I dont want to know shit about a meta, what the opponent is playing, anything in legacy

the secret ingredient in my hydra stew
my one true walker wish right now is for the elephant mage dude from DotP to be made into a card

do so until the following occurs
3 narcomebas in play, sharuum and blasting station and dread return in the yard. emrakul is in the deck to reset this
flashback dread return on sharuum, bring in station, eventually kill them on recurring narcomebas
like it'll happen but theres the "welp emrakul" moments when setting it up and its hilarious

mill till narcomeba, trigger on the stack w/ a therapy in the yard, retain priority let it come in and flashback therapy to hit their stuff
since narcomeba is a may you wait till therapies are there then do it
especially in the part where it takes FOREVER to go off and people get butthurt about it
Man that one has a tap symbol. It's bursting with shorthand convenience!
What about Hatred?
I'm... intrigued?
I'm thinking specifically of something that would directly key off of damage, so the life you lost incidentally AND deliberately would be repurposed
it seems like it could be a pretty bonkers effect in general but i figured it could've shown up in the olden times
development maybe pushing some power to throw a bone to devotion strategies amidst all the gold cards?
My favorite stupid Monolith deck will always be Relic Bind/Legerdemain
It was for exiling his OWN mans after Bloodrushing them onto attacking dudes.
Basically the dream of every MTGSalvation commenter after seeing Vile Rebirth spoiled.
-kai is Tarkirian for nerd is what I'm saying.
