final haul. Not bad. my one unqualifying game was a loss where i blundered into the entire enemy team, got NARCd and LRMed to death while doing 48 damage with 1 assist. still 22 points some how.
Grand total:450,000 cbills, 85 MC, a few misc. items and a day of premium time.
Mine came out to be 950,000 C-bills, 170 MC, 1900 GXP, 1 Day of Premium Time (which was timed really well with when I played), two cockpit items, 8 consumables, and two tricks (a SHS and a 1/2 ton of MG ammo) which honestly I can get utility out of. Was hoping to hit on a MechBay or two since I was on my alt account, but had a pretty good payout without that.
47 matches, 7 did not qualify. Of my seven DNQ's, my scores were 28, 29, 19, 28, 25, 28, 17. All of them were marginal-to-bad "Oops I blundered into the opposing team", but even then all but two could have been salvaged if my team hadn't shit the bed.
I had slightly better than a 50% hit rate on qualifying matches (took some time to blow the rust off my Jenner skills and had a couple matches where I'd run out, get NARC'd, and then just melt).
But, uh ... Why does the UAV key just stop working? My second-to-worst match was basically me, on Caustic, running over to the enemy team, hitting the UAV key and running away, laughing ... Only to notice that it never launched. So I ran back in, tried to hit it again, and it still didn't work. So I tried a third time, and got most of my armor melted off as I looked down to double-extra-triple-check that I was pressing the right key.
8 x Tricks
11 x This game does not qualify
390 MC
6 x Priority Airstrike
525,000 C-Bills
2,300 GXP
1 x Improved UAV
2 x MWO Mug
Highest Match Score: 162
Lowest Match Score: 14
Total Matches: 54
Average Match: 59
Did alright, I guess. Was hoping for a mechbay or one of the Halloween cockpit items. Kinda bummed I got 2 MWO Mugs, since I already got one.
That said, totally fun event, best one they've done, 10/10 would grind again.

I think my only complaint about the event is that it incentivized players to solo-drop (if you are not an elite player surrounded by elite players) because the group queue is so brutal, and pushed a playstyle of "assist for the win" (that I leveraged the shit out of) if you know you aren't going to put up high-damage games with regularity.
My secret to success was ECM 2xCERLL Kit Foxes, positioning myself for 1500 meter laser burns on enemy columns, and racking up assists. Between kill assists and spotting assists getting to 30 points was basically a gimme before anything else was factored in.
Dumb facts:
Since I started playing brand-new Kit Foxes on this alt account (IronNips, btw, which you should all friend in-game!) starting this weekend, I have near-perfect info about my tournament match performance.
-In 40 qualifying matches, my average tournament score was 63.55, with a standard deviation of 22.4. My highest score was 123, my lowest 31.
In all 47 matches,
-my average Kills per match was 0.4255 (20/47), worth about 0.5 tournament point
-my average Damage per match was 248.2, worth about 16.5 tournament points
-my average XP per match was 941.36, worth about 9.5 tournament points
-my average C-bills earned per match was 116,244.14, worth about 11.5 tournament points
I wish I had a record of assists/spotting assists. Some matches were absurd; I had one with 10 assists plus 10 spotting assists, and basically stopped paying attention to anything but those going forward.
I would happily play another event like this, reaping the rewards with minimal effort. I wish I could have been as successful playing with friends though. Judging from what I was hearing, in and out of game, the group queue was not the place to work this system to its limit.
I played 59 games; 8 didn't qualify (this is actually a bigger proportion than I thought it'd be, but I know I accidentally afked at least twice.) Totals:
1.75 mil bills
240 MC (sooo many 5 or 10 MC rewards :bigfrown: )
3100 GXP (got a ton of 200 gxp rewards)
2x each UAV/coolant/artillery
1x skull face
I only got one trick, and it was an IS medium laser.
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
FYI: Under the current end-of-round rewards calculation schema, the Founder's Jenner is a money-making machine.
Assuming I didn't do something stupid (c.f. earlier post about running through the enemies 3 times trying to get UAV to work), I never made less than 100k CBills, and usually more like 150k. (And, like, I'm not that great a light pilot; I just liked the queue length!) Delicious, delicious NARC / TAG damage moneys!
I really need to buy a 3rd Jenner and actually Elite them.
(I actually have 3 Jenners, but they're Founders (-D), Sarah's (-D(S)), and a -F, and swapping my 300XL engine back-and-forth is so annoying that I don't run the -F as often as I could, and without missile hardpoints it can't take a NARC, so ...)
Also, was hella fun mostly-soloing a Warhawk in my -D last night. He fell off the cliffs on Crimson Straight, so I hopped down to join him and just ran around and around in circles, making him whiff each time, along with judicious use of the jumpjet "Crazy Ivan," and just stripped him.
Then I hopped back up on the ledge, and a Commando and I played tag with a Summoner in the street. The Summoner did not, I think, enjoy the game.
EDIT: Had Jenners -F and -D backwards; Founder's and Sarah's are -Ds, the other one I have is the -F.
I saw a couple dudes running 4xSRM4 oxides over the weekend, which looks pretty fun
Splat Oxides are terrifying if they catch you unaware. I've been wrecked, and witnessed wreckings, when a good Oxide pilot gets to run free. Backstabs ahoy, and suddenly all your back armor is gone, or you're just dead.
I'm this close to picking one up when they go on sale next.

A quad SRM4 Oxide one shot me in my back while running my Jenner F. Didnt even see him coming since i was focused on another mech. Only saw him run off from the death screen. I wasnt even mad. Was kinda impressive.
I think 10 AM PST (so, in like an hour) is usually when downtime starts
I wonder how/if the quirks will be documented in the ingame UI
I really, really hope it comes with a UI tweak to add a "Global" stats box for each mech. Maybe down with all the engine/armor/stuff in the bottom right? Somewhere, anywhere. Hell, even in a tooltip. Just....put that info in a visible location in the client.
I wish there was a way to just pull up a list of your modules and WHICH MECH THEY ARE EQUIPPED and a way to unequip them from that menu instead of hunting for the mech and reconfiguring it.

What would be in the stats box?
The quirk stuff that wouldn't be location-specific, ala movement and weapon quirks. At least, as a quick pass in my head.
WiP preview of the King Crab at 12:20! Wooooo! Shiny!
WiP Swamp map preview at 17:28! Oh, wow. It's plateaued like Canyon, and guessing maybe about as big as Crimson? And suuuuuper pretty. Giant (dead) enemy lobsters! Stagnant pools! Vegetation!

Gotcha - I wasn't sure if you meant Quirks info or if you meant, like, your K/D, avg. damage per match, etc., with that 'mech.

Got 200k CBills, 800 GXP, and 10 MC.

I was actually using the key I'd explicitly bound to "Launch UAV" in the control set-up; I have it as "E." (Arty as "Q".)

Do they just eat the ghost heat penalty, or do they stagger fire?

Usually, it's 1. Open with Alpha on unsuspecting target, then 2. Stagger to cockpit shake for maximum effect. Retreat when overheated.
