Institutionalised racism, matters of privilege, wildy disparate applications of force, cover-ups of shootings and rapes of civilians by force members are all rife not just in the US, but also India, China, and many many other countries. Here in my own country, violence against and deaths in custody of Aborigines is a huge problem that is not going away.
I'm not going to put a bunch of pictures in this OP, because we really don't need to see any gore.
How do we drive change in our police forces? How do we ensure the bad are rooted out, and the good are recognised?
How do we shift away from a justice system based around dehumanising and punishing actual offenders, and towards rehabilitation?
