Direct TV / NFL Direct Ticket

I'm looking for a way to stream NFL Direct TV into my house. I cannot put a DirectTV dish up due to my land lord and I cannot directly purchase the PS3 App because I do not have a Direct TV account, I do not live in San Francisco / Miami, and I don't go to one of their listed universities.

So, of course, a few friends of mine have Direct TV.

Is it possible to split NFL Sunday Ticket with a buddy, he uses the TV portion and I use the PS3 app via his account, like how people use other people's HBO Go account.

We're planning to split the cost 50/50, but there are also two NFL Sunday Ticket Packages listed (Normal and Max).

Thoughts?

I can't help with the DirectTv advice, however the NFL does have a streaming service that shows all of the games in HD roughly a day after they've been broadcast. It's no help if you want to watch the game on Sunday, but it's great if you don't care about seeing it live. Relatively cheap too.

    I would download a car.

Did you just read Direct TV's rules and go "Nope, can't do that" or did you try their application for a Non-Direct TV Subscriber Sunday Ticket deal on their website? I ask because I am not a Direct TV subscriber, and my apartment complex allows satellite TV, but I tried anyone and they approved me.

Yeah, try the actual application. If that doesn't work, doing what you describe is probably works fine, but is almost certainly against their TOS.

I tried the application and I was rejected. I currently rent a house in Rochester, MN which - while lovely - apparently was built under guidance from the local Heritage / Historical Society and the outside of the house cannot be changed without approval. I spoke to the land lord and a dish is out of the question.

Anyway, this can be locked - pretty much just confirmed what I had suspected, thanks.

Last year we were able to use the PS3 app using my friend's parents account information. He was living with us and his folks only watched Sunday Ticket on their TV. Called them up and they gave us the OK. No issues.

However it probably in some way violates DirecTVs TOS. After a week we ended up not using it since the lag was pretty horrendous.

Any idea what your up or down speed was or if you had lag with any other streaming services? Netflix or Hulu or Amazon Prime or anything?

I'm pretty sure it is, and they will not like it if they catch it. HBO has in the past said they don't mind people sharing accounts and are happy when a bar shows an episode of Game of Thrones to a large crowd, whereas the NFL has in the past actively sued churches for hosting super bowl parties.

That's because the NFL makes much money from bars paying their rebroadcast fees every Sunday.

Have you considered attaching to something other than the house. I've seen them on trees, poles, garages, etc. My grandma had a 15 foot pole put up in her back yard cause she didn't want to attach it to anything on her house or garage, and it works fine.

Whether they find a life there or not, I think Jupiter should be called an enemy planet.

NFL Direct Ticket for DirectTV is not the only game in town.
Verizon FiOS has NFL RedZone for $70, which includes highlights of all games, live, for the season.
Looking at the NFL RedZone website, it's offered to many other cable and fios providers, not just Verizon.
It's not the same as watching one game live, but it's pretty much the only way to watch games when you're in a fantasy league.
