We have a disproportionate response in regard to cheating. It causes emotional, physical, and psychological damage far in excess of what it should, and so it comes to no surprise that me that people conflate it with sex crimes, if only for the fact that it often results in consequences that are as severe. Because people have genitals for brains
Of course, much of that damage is caused not by the initial insult but by the mishandled exponentially amplified retaliation that eclipses the initial act pretty much immediately.

The people in IRC are basically just groupies. The raids tend to have ten to twenty core members who push information and do the leg work. They tend to group into a temp mumble server or a Skype group chat ran off a VPN drop bot or similar. A lot of the time it's the same people. Sometimes not. That's the group who splinter off into doing stupid things like the sec/squad stuff.
Basically the ones who really deserve some tasty jail time. That rarely seems to be the case though.

This wasn't as much a statement about misandry as it was a reprimand for Langly's irresponsible abuse of his global weather powers
But I believe that misandry exists, just not as an external movement. Men have an impressive capacity for self-hatred that outwardly manifests in a variety of interesting ways, which tends to happen in a group that never works out its feelings with an invested group of friends or an experienced care provider.
Think hard of the world of games that men have created. Which is greater - the number of and participation in games that actively predate on the human psyche and create a punishing, joyless past-time rife with masochism, or the games that help you appreciate life and improve as a person?

We have a disproportionate response in regard to cheating. I do believe that a lot of this would have been exposed and calmed down at least a week ago if a lot of professional journalists decided to do their jobs, investigate and not jump in to fan the flames over Twitter.
Zoe should not have had to endure this and she shouldn't have had to shovel people out of the dirt either.
The worse thing to come out of all of this is now its going to help justify all the absolutely horrible extremists on every side of every spectrum to start spewing over this industry as a new playground.

The people in IRC are basically just groupies. The raids tend to have ten to twenty core members who push information and do the leg work. They tend to group into a temp mumble server or a Skype group chat ran off a VPN drop bot or similar. A lot of the time it's the same people. Sometimes not. That's the group who splinter off into doing stupid things like the sec/squad stuff.
Basically the ones who really deserve some tasty jail time. That rarely seems to be the case though.

Sure, there might be some smaller group of people coordinating it, but every last person who chooses to participate in it is also scum because they still want in on it.
