Random stutter/pausing while running Origin launched pc games.

This is a problem that only started a few days ago and it's been driving me apeshit.
I have literally zero idea why this started. I haven't changed any hardware components on my pc since I built it and I don't play anything so new that it would tax this system. I noticed this random stutter/brief pause while playing Kingdom's of Amalur: Reckoning and assumed it was just that game. Then I opened The Sims 4 through Origin and it too was stuttering.
I decided to check games run from other launchers and opened a handful of games in Steam. All of them ran perfectly.
Does Origin just suck miles of d or is there something I'm doing wrong that makes Origin no work gud?
If this appears to be system related I'll post my specs but if anyone knows if it was perhaps an Origin patch that caused this that info would be marvelous. At this moment I've searched the google machine and haven't uncovered a single solid solution.
