I'm with my friend that just got a lap top and he is very competitive. So we wanted to play an online game but we don't know any games. Are there any free, preferably popular, online games we can jump on real quick to just play around? It can be any type of game just something we can play together (on two different computers).
What's worse than a cold toilet seat? A warm toilet seat. There's only one way short of magic it could have gotten warm. At first, you're almost thankful it's warm, then you get to thinking... this is the result of another person's ass-warmth.

Maybe Gunz Online?
A Korean shooter that I found quite amusing for a while.
I'd recommend Warcraft 3, if you like RTS games. Even if you don't like the base game, the flexibility offered by custom trigger-based maps is simply incredible.
Edit: Oh, free. Hmm, gimme a sec.
Along the lines of Korean shooters, there's one called Warrock which is kind of BF2ish.
There's also this interesting FPS that was originally a Quake mod but comes in a standalone version which pits a team of humans against a team of evolving aliens, with the teams constructing a base and trying to destroy their opponent's base. I forget what it's called, though.
If you like silly puzzle-based games, Puzzle Pirates might be worth a look. The duty and crafting puzzles are non-competitive, but if you're good enough, you can make a fortune in-game by card-sharking or by duelling other people.
Eh, what the hell, just get Warcraft 3 if you don't already have it, it's awesome.

Great time killer.
I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?
^^ that has a list with screen shots, some reviews, tells you if it's free etc.
