And...does master core actually do anything? It always just sits there and dies whenever I get that far.
If you wait too long, it does Tabuu's insta-kill attack.

Yeah sorry I got into a room with bigwill, but after the first game running flawlessly the second lagged out horribly. If you make a room now I can join (sometimes when you first add someone they do not show up online, I see you though)

Lagged out like seconds into it too. Makes no sense.
Nintendoji could totally be a DLC character that gets added. I could see that.
Care Free Bomb and Munkus Beaver, I added you.

Good games, gonna get some dinner.
Starting to feel my old S tier coming back, the more I practice with. Jiggs, the only true aerial left. And with the heavy ground game, my useless Ike tech now is heavy cannon.

What happens if a fighter with a moving special gets flipped? Do they keep their previous momentum, or do they plummet hilariously to their deaths?
With that kind of apparent range, I can see people laughing at a Jigglypuff using it right up until they discover that they can no longer ever return to the stage if they get knocked off.

That could be amusing. Except that since it flinches... well, it probably mostly just cancels the move and lets them do it again.

If they get caped? They die. But Jiggs attack seems to punch and turn the character. The punch probably interrupts the recovery and allows them to come back. There are some exceptions.
The Koopas recovery is notoriously finicky with how it gives back it's charges.

I haven't discovered much in life that is more satisfying than hitting a gyroid-riding Villager with Ness' bat, sending the Villager rocketing off the stage in the opposite direction.

Have you hit a Starman Jr. in Smash Run with Ness's bat?

Sorry I left so abruptly, wife was going to bed had to join her.
And I had to go get the muffins out of the oven at one point. I'll let you guess when.
I like how long it took me to learn how to react to wario's bike. I haven't fought a human wario before that somehow.
But it was fun though. I need a less distracted night to play but at least I'm learning every night.
Charizard is a lot of fun online. Very, very hard to kill because his recovery is really, really good with two midair jumps, flare blitz, and whatever his up B is. And Flare Blitz can punish someone into death at fairly low percents. And Rock Smash is sort of a counter, since a lot of hits he just goes "nah, POW HEADBUTT" and launches em. It's mostly an endurance contest for me at the moment... and Charizard has a ton of endurance and hits like a truck. To a degree though, I'm mostly flailing aside from the occasional flare blitz when I see someone starting a long-range attack... which is basically a "nope you die now" - basically nothing is going to be worth eating it to the face. I've heard maybe a full Charge Beam will stop it? I don't think I'll focus on Charizard, but he's really easy to pick up I think - you just have to remember two things:
1 - Only flare blitz to punish or recover. You do not want to fly over the edge that sucks you will probably die.
2 - Wussy attacks no match for mighty dragon (AKA: Learn what you have super armor on and just brawl because you hit harder and farther and will come out ahead against 90% of the cast when you trade blows)
Edit: Some highlights of running him for glory? A Shiek who saved me from a suicidal flare blitz by chasing me and giving me love taps in the air (I was over the pit because of my mistake, not because I was at launching damage lol) to reset my recovery. Repeatedly. And a diddy kong I 2-0'd by just nicking him with flamethrower as he was about to get the ledge... nudging him so he kept going sideways under the platform and got stuck and died.
okay, what does Plant Barrier do htat's so good? Because the only down B I like for Megs so far is Skull Shield.

So, just played a bunch of online, including 3 rounds of Robin mirror matches. Well, and something like 7 rounds against players who were better than me. When it shifted to the "I am trying out new characters because otherwise you offer me no challenge" rounds, I quit.
Think I learned a lot from all that. Including that one of my standard approaches with Robin is, bare minimum, uncommon. Wasn't good enough to get kills most of the time, but it almost always took people off guard.
Also got a reminder that, even if the player isn't too good, Ganondorf is a beast and should never be taken lightly. A few hits, and it's over.
okay, what does Plant Barrier do htat's so good? Because the only down B I like for Megs so far is Skull Shield.
A few reasons:
1) FOOTSTOOL GIMP. The Plant Barrier both kills all your opponent's air momentum and hitstuns them so they can't air dodge or attack. And it has a neat undulating motion that makes it easier to safely land hits. So you can just fire it up, leap toward an offstage opponent, and footstool, and there's very little they can do about it.
2) Doesn't overstay it's welcome. It disappears quicker than Leaf Shield so there's no danger of self destruct when you're using it off stage.
3) More damage than Leaf Shield, so it stuffs more attacks and gives you a safer approach for a grab (or what I like to call "MegaMan's rolling dodge buzz saw").
4) Travels less distance and sort of lingers at the end. This allows you to set up a massive hitbox temporarily covering the ledge, which can set up better ledge guarding scenario.
It's fucking awesome. Really good tool for edge guarding and punishing dodges.
One of Zelda's variant moves is Nayru's Rejection.
"It's not you, it's me. I just can't value Power or Courage as much as you do."
"I'm just in a complicated place right now. Or several. Time and position are sort of suggestions on the astral plan."
"I don't want to ruin our goddess/mortal worshiper relationship."

"I can't go out tonight, I have to wash the plains in Spain."
So, DLC characters, what does everyone think will be in it? I'm talking Nintendo characters here, not third party ones. I think, as far as completely new characters go, Nintendoji is high up there.

I am ready to toss this fucking 3DS out the window. I spent a good 2 hours trying to clear Classic on 9. I beat Master Core on 8 on my first try, but for some reason 9 is fucking impossible. The ease of clearing it with Bowser on 8 made me think it would be a cake walk, but it's been a fucking nightmare.
Who is the best fighter for clearing Classic on 9?

But if I'm wishing? Well, I'd still like to see Isaac, or Isa Jo.

Try Ganondorf. Focus on +attack items, I know I had one that added % damage in exchange for starting you at 30% damage. Also had an item that healed you every few seconds. Dropped Master Hand in two hits and made it to the sword form before dieing once.
Getting to Master Core was harder than Master Core himself.

Adding and on my way.
If you wait too long, it does Tabuu's insta-kill attack.
It flips your enemies around
it does not reflect projectiles however and it deals damage so it's not effective ledgeguarding either

The worst thing is that it does 3 flips, very slowly. You're locked into doing all 3. Heck it might be the longest move in the whole game...?
Starting to feel my old S tier coming back, the more I practice with. Jiggs, the only true aerial left. And with the heavy ground game, my useless Ike tech now is heavy cannon.
Mario's cape does damage, but it turns you around too. You basically have to either not do damage at all or be an exception like the cape.
If it is a trap to make people ask about it then whoa you got me
Yeah, but if it didn't give people back their up special it could have some use, as it is it's just a really slow attack that's not... useful

And that's somehow a downside, so the game compensates by making the upward strike more powerful.

And thanks for helping me confirm that Plant Barrier is indeed awesome. If I can gimp Rosalina I can probably gimp anyone!
