Ok, I built a redstone rail system. I have a source of redstone and a switch, but after 17 track panels it just...stops. I can't seem to figure out a way to keep it going.
any eta when the new and improved twixxo server might come out?
At the moment no, but if we do pull the trigger on proceeding then there is still a huge amount of work to be done. A lot of that comes from the fact that the actual invasion content on the server has to be hand made which is very time consuming, and a lot of it has to be made before the server even goes online. Really we just need to know that there are enough interested people to make it worth doing because we don't want to spend so much time planning and making it only to see that there aren't enough players to sustain it.
Edit: Almost forgot, that means if you know someone who might be interested in the server idea but no longer looks at the thread/used to play on the server but no longer does then let them know and have them post or someway let us know they are interested!

I'm not 100% on this but I believe you have to have the rail powered every ~16 tracks.

Very rough ETA would be months.

Sadly I will not be able to play on the invasion server due to my inability to run much in the way of mods etc. If I don't play, I don't imagine ghostfish will either.

There are no mods required for the Twixxo server, it will use the native client.
All the MODs are on the server itself.
I got nothing for you now. Try again later.

Sorry for vanishing for a while. I suddenly burned out, didn't really want to admit it and thought I'd just be taking a short break, and now birding season has started. I miss everybody, though.
A yellow button that says "SKIP THIS AD" or something similar should appear on the top right corner of the page after a few seconds; click on that for your download.
I would but my windows registry is corrupted in such a way that while most things work, my java install is broken in such a way that I can't run minecraft, can't uninstall or reinstall java, and the windows tools for repairing this kind of registry error also don't work so I gave up
There's additional circuitry beneath the aboveground switch, on top of blue wool. That's only there to allow both levers to work. And they do have to be levers, at least without modification. Anyway, the blue-wool gadget has two clearly marked inputs, so if you want to change the switch locations, just make sure they each attach to one.

Is there anything special I need to do to join the server? ITs been several years since I last played MC, let alone on the SE++ server. Is there still a white list thing I need to do?
EDIT: Looks like there is. I'll send a pm
EDIT again: If any admin happens to be looking at the thread my username in MC is Branta
EDIT the 3rd: My first singleplayer seed spawned me in a fucking ridicuous canyon with no way out and no way to make tools.

Check out this tutorial. I have found it to be very helpful.

so look in this thread http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1282366-too-much-tnt-mod-48-new-tnts
most mod makers make a thread advertising their thing on that forum with links to official sites if they have one and downloads and whatnot

If you don't go to adfly you are stifling the minecraft modding community and depriving peoples compensation for their hard work!
(It's not going away anytime soon. Curse is also a begrudgingly legit source as well)

welcome to the minecraft modding community
(just bear through the adfly link on the Minecraft Forums thread, it's the most legit source you will get)
Also, last night there were FIVE people on the server. All the cool kids are playing this minecraft thing lately.
Pfft, playing minecraft, sounds like something for nerds
Seriously, why would you build that in survival mode. Oh my god you're crazy (awesome)
That's why I just stick with a dirt hut in the woods. Okay it's not a hut and it's just a hole in the ground, whatever.
