Is there a reason the level 35 PLD quest wouldn't show up? I did the level 30 one (to get PLD), and looked in the right place according to the wiki, but no quest was there.
How do dyeing and glamours work together? Like, if I glamour something then use dye on it, and later dispel the glamour, will the original piece still be dyed?
It wont cancel. If the glamour source can be dyed, then the dye will work on the new appearence.
The dye is applied to the glamoured item. So if you have a white Spring Skirt, you can glamour your Bronze Subligar to look like that. You can then dye your Bronze Subligar red, and it will look like a red Spring Skirt. You'll still have a white Spring Skirt in your inventory.
My question in this scenario is, if I dispel the glamour on the subligar (so it no longer looks like a Spring Skirt), will the subligar be red, or bronze?
I'm thinking, based on your response, that it will be red.

Guess it's a good thing I have been doing nothing but quick ventures then. Hopefully I can get some of those nice new dyes soon.

Hmm, that's a good question. I believe that's how it works, but it's possible the dye is applied specifically to the glamour, so if you dispel the glamour the subligar will be it's default color (or possibly the color it was before the glamour?). I'll check into it tonight if no one else has by then.

hmmm, does this mean there are new chocobo colors to be attained? Because I don't know how to feel about that. metallic silver chocobo sounds pretty damn rad.

The Fantasia change is much needed. I was thinking about trying lala out, but was put off by the fact that if I didn't like it, I'd need to buy 3 potions to change back (the old options are 1, 3, 5, and you can only buy one of each option, if I recall correctly).
edit - also worth noting, you can change your default camera angle regardless of your race. Roegadyn is higher by default, but you can adjust your camera as a lala to get the same default angle in the settings. Seriously considering the switch.

I've been seriously considering moving from teenbop (midlander) to old dude (highlander) or catboy for a long time now. I've got the free one from the collector's edition, so their options didnt bother me as much but it would be nice to see something more user centered if I really want to go nuts.

And yeah, Delphi. I really like my Morbol Green so I won't be experimenting. prolly don't really have the gil for it either. I kind of wish we could have more chocobos, because sometimes I'm in a more relaxed sea-green mood which fits the Morbol, but when I'm impatient it'd be cool if my draught chocobo was dalamud red and my fat chocobo might be a little less self-conscious if he was a shiny and sleek metallic silver (or thinning jet black).

You people and your using Fantasias for changing races... I used my freebie to do some minor alterations to my character's face... Removed a mole that ended up looking rather stupid, changed the nose and altered the lips a bit...
It may seem wasteful, but until I made those changes, the perceived imperfection would had gnawed away in my mind for eternity. Totally no regrets.

You're not looking for it in the Gladiator's guild, are you? It'll be from the same person, in the same location, where you got the quest to obtain the PLD soulstone.

You also need to have Conjurer leveled to 15 as well and talk to the guild receptionist at the Coliseum. Then you should be able to take the quests.
So I'm slowly accumulating soldiery tomes... What should I be saving these for?
IL100 gear that you can upgrade to IL110 gear with the right items. If you run Syrcus Tower and get an Unidentifiable Allagan Tomb drop, you can use that +1300 Soldiery tombs to get yourself a IL100 weapon that is also upgradeable to IL110.
So I'm slowly accumulating soldiery tomes... What should I be saving these for?
At level 50 there is a gear set (Un-weathered) that you can purchase with Soldiery Tomes fro a vendor in Revenant's Toll. This includes an ilvl 100 weapon (costs 1300 soldiery which you convert into Rowena's Tokens of Soldiery which cost 130 soldiery each).
This gear is ilvl 100 and can be upgraded further to ilvl 110 with the application of either Sands of Time (For armor pieces and weapons) or Oils of Time (For accessories and offhands)
Gear costs vary but are generally around 400-850ish depending on the piece you want.
The Soldiery gear is the current top end of gear alongside High Allagan gear which drops in the Second Coil of Bahamut.
Once 2.4 hits we'll likely see the weekly Soldiery cap (450) removed and a new tomestone will be introduced (which will be capped at 450 weekly). This will be alongside a new tier of gear that will be bought with the new tomes, and gained from Third coil of Bahamut.

This is exactly what I used my free fantasia for. I have no regrets about the way my character looks now; I've been contemplating the race change due to BLM stats and nothing more. My actual worry is that I'll go lala and enjoy the extra piety but not like the way my character looks as much, so I'll probably stick with the Brogadyn.

Haha oh man totally just tried to buy a full stack of bait and ended up buy a full stack of lures. See ya later 23k! Oh, you'll buy them back at 3gil a piece? Sweet!
Question, are lures consumables?
Is there a chance of me making that money back on the market boards?

Lures are semi-durable. You can lose them, but not if you are using them properly. If I recall, crafting them gives 3 at a time, which is probably the most you need on your person at once under normal fishing conditions.
...and when you are done with that; take a folding
chair to Creation and then suplex the Void.

That's understandable, I was just wondering if you were trying some kind of "dying some thing that isn't dyeable strat (which would be rad)."
Hm, didn't even think of that. Though in all likelihood it probably wouldn't work.
I really wish there was an armor gallery we can browse so I can figure out what gear to aim for, glamour-wise.

Ryubi Kentobi
Goodbye missed opportunity.
Partly why I went back to being a hell-girl. :P
Wouldn't it be something like Ryuyubi Kentoto?
Since the naming convention doesn't include "sometimes y" as a vowel, Ryu is one syllable to me. bi being the second syllable that has to rhyme in the last name.
Also because of the muscle slider.
Heh. Hurt Butt is conventionally acceptable as a male Hellsguard name.
