Would anyone perhaps be able to assist me with the final quest for Thorn. Exotic bounties are nice and all, but being stuck with more than one at a time makes it take forever to finish the dailies!
Did the Loot Cave 2.0 for a bit, actually got a rare AR (how quaint, you're saying; shaddup lol) and a rare sniper. Finished rank 1 of the Queen so I at least have the first shader and the emblem. Gotta work on that some more so I can at least buy the AR for rank 2. 3k points is a lot though...

So every purple Engram I've had turns into a blue item
...and then today two blue Engrams turned into purple items (a Fusion Rifle and Sniper Rifle)
Oh and then I got a second Exotic Bounty choice (I chose the one for Pocket Infinity) while still trying to finish up the one for Invective
So today was pretty productive.

If you dont manage to get to the weekly/nightfall before tomorrow night I'd like to give it another go. Poor timing / bad luck with adds smoked us at the boss each time.
Just went to do the daily and saw that I had one friend currently running it... So I scanned my friends list and saw that @Khildith was mid-mission, with his fireteam set to Public. Cool, I thought. We can do it together. I click "Join Fireteam" and immediately hear the ba-boosh that accompanies receipt of an item. Mission loads... right into the post-mission debriefing screen. Two ascendant shards. Didn't even set foot on the planet.

Legendary void sniper rifle that does bonus damage to Oracles, warlock armband (again), warlock raid chest, legendary void autorifle, and Patience and Time. I wish exotics leveled faster, I really want them all leveled so I can use them to their full potential whenever I want.
Also, this week's nightfall is easier than the heroic.

Yeah, I pulled a Plan C fusion rifle out of a chest in the raid. Pulled the exact same gun finishing the Nightfall.

See, I understand why they don't want green to exotic trades, but stuff like this makes me wish that you could trade an item for another item of equal worth.

Not sure if it's any good for the hunter class. Makes trip mines last longer, specials reload faster, and grenade kills give more super energy. Seems kind of lackluster for an exotic unless trip mines are really good.

Maybe. It definitely allows more than one map, so I got it partway through the second map.
I'm abandoning the Queen. It's mathematically impossible for me to get rank 2, so why bother? I'll work on getting rank 2 for Vanguard instead. Oh well, got the shader and emblem at least.

Trip Mines are great! Blast radius damage dropoff is kinda steep though.
Fun times in PVP too. But, they are also useless against most Titans.

I haven't taken off my hat to test, but it seems like each queen's thing you equip and your Number of queen's ranks give +10% each
I am not very good at crucible so this might suck for me
the survive 5 strikes part is going pretty smoothly though considering I've been doing it on the level 24 strike playlist
Pretty sure it counts assists, so play a large team game like control and hang near the back of groups so you can rack up assists then run away when things go sour. Pikes and heavy weapons help out, too.

Hmm. Yeah, I still think it won't work out. I need 2,951 (yeah, what?) points. With a 50% bonus at 6 bounties per day I could get at best 900 if they are all worth 100 (which they won't be). I know I don't have the time to do all 6 for the next four days. I mean, I could try for it, I guess.
I'm not equipped for the missions, so those are out.

I keep getting asked to do it, and I feel bad turning everyone down. It just turns out that, while there are many things in this game that I will do over and over again for no personal reward to help others out, the Nightfall just isn't one of them.
