A female elf druid that uses a staff. She has long hair, light armor (like leather/hide), and is kind of arrogant.
Thanks dude!
Setting: Ars Magica, circa 1215 in England
Stats: Mid forties, five foot six, stocky
Features: Short sandy hair, moustache but no beard
Personality: Self-assured, absent-minded, unthinking in social situations - classic nutty professor type
Dress: Medieval blacksmith, only a more refined style. His blacksmith apron, for example, is trimmed with silver Ogham, which is his sigil or "theme". He wears multiple rings, and a horseshoe necklace
Equipment: Several small bellows, used to cast spells through. A blacksmith's hammer, with the head detailed in gold and silver, and the shaft made of plaited bronze, brass, iron and granite. It's either 14 inches long, or the size of a warhammer, depending on need.
Description: As a member of House Verditius, Idwal ad Ifan is a magical craftsman: specifically, a blacksmith. He is skilled at manipulating the element of Earth, and instilling powerful effects into items.
Thanks in advance
Arzosah Lorez is a young Half-Elven Monk of the Qinngong order, with a strong martial focus blended with supernatural techniques and force of will. After being orphaned as a child by a werewolf pack's attack on her village, she was raised in a remote monastery most of her life. Finding her unable to speak, her tutors encouraged her to funnel the focus of the childhood trauma that inhibited her speech into her internal will, giving her an even more powerful Ki.
Setting: Pretty standard Pathfinder
Physical stats: Roughly late-20s in terms of human age, about 6.5 feet tall, muscular but lithe from extensive martial training.
Physical details: Jet black hair cut fairly short except for a thick braid running halfway down her back and forking into something akin to a forked tongue at the end. The braid has beads, small religious symbols and ribbons woven into it. The majority of her body, from neck down, is covered with circular, swirling tattoos, and the head of a roaring dragon on the back of her left hand.
Attire: A simple sleeveless tunic and thigh-length shorts, with a short leather skirt over her hips. Sturdy half-shin boots and leather fingerless gloves. She has a number of small pouches on her belt, containing a variety of religious trinkets and small metal flasks. She wears a simple-looking enchanted amulet and a rough necklace made from leather and werewolf teeth. She wears a grey silk scarf, with one end free and running down her back, that she frequently enchants with a silk-to-steel spell as a defensive measure.
Personality: Never speaking, Arzosah has driven the inhibition from her childhood into a life-long vow, and her outward display of personality reflects that. Reserved and preferring to keep to the sidelines in social situations, Arzosah has a keen sense of duty and perceptiveness- both physical and emotional. Her martial style is based upon the powerful Will common to Dragons, using powerful determination and unrelenting focus to defeat her enemies. She has a capable tactical mind, honed through many years of hunting down cunning foes. Her loyalty lies first and foremost with the populace of the region she currently resides in, ensuring their safety at all opportunities. While physical solutions are her only option to most conflicts, she is wise enough to let her smooth-talking companions try their luck at diplomacy first, before bringing her fists into the equation.
I think that should do. Looking forward to seeing your take on her!
Female Elf Druid.
Here's mine!
Brann Bloodhowler, albino trollkin Fellcaller (big on shouting)
Trollkin reference pic if you're not familiar with Iron Kingdoms:
He wears a too-tight armored greatcoat that's open across his craggy chest, and wields two braces of enchanted blunderbusses, as well as the holy Greatsword of a fallen Paladin comrade(or, earlier in his career, a cursed soulstealing necromantic acid halberd, whichever is more fun.)
He's a folk hero, kind and confident, but foolhardy and dumb as a rock. He can't read or write, and signs his name by drawing a flower.
I don't know if this is too complicated / specific or not, but:
A giant mechanical cobra, say roughly the size of the Empire State Building in NYC, towering over a ruined White House. The sky should be totally choked-out by volcanic ash. There should be red banners filled with nonsensical math equations running down the face of the Truman Balcony, and a flag flying atop the White House with a cryptic line graph on it. You could use my avatar as a rough idea of what I'm looking for.
150 is obviously not enough money for that kind of project; I could afford 300 for you if you think the project is up your alley. PM me if you're interested.
Setting: Star Trek, Abrams Edition. So we're talking the trimmed up Original Series-esque designs circa the 2009 movie and 2013's Into Darkness.
This character's name is Jetara, she is an unjoined Trill (so as you can see, human enough, with spots). She looks like she's in her late 20s, early 30s. She's got red hair down to the middle of her back, fairly straight but it's got some waves/curls to it. She's an Engineer, a redshirt. Now, Abrams likes to put his women in no-sleeve dresses: Jetara wears a proper redshirt tunic a la Scotty. (Note that the new movies do sleeve ranks a little differently than the Original Series TV show: they're straight edged bands instead of braids.) Jetara is a Lieutenant Commander, so (like Scotty) she sports the (from the cuff proceeding up towards the shoulder) Thick Band-Thin Band pattern. I think she'd look good with her sleeves pushed up, with a very hot rod mechanic kind of air about her?
Personality-wise, Jetara is best described as a grease monkey, a hot rod enthusiast. The party's starship is her baby, and the captain is just borrowing it, as far as she is concerned. She'll tell the captain a job will take 3 times as long, not because she is wrong or to show-off, but because oh man there's so much minutia she could work into her jury-rigging/repairs that would really help (and no laymen would ever notice). She's a little less than military-professional; she left Trill specifically because she didn't want to go through with what was planned for her, so she has an anti-authority streak in her.
She's Trill, so she has spots down the sides of her face and neck. I'm thinking thinner facial features. She's not a huge lumbering engineering ape kinda character. If you want to work in any engineering props, please feel free. There's some canon (1, 2, 3) stuff, but I figure as long as it fits the NuTrek aesthetic, it really is whatever vaguely tech-y thing you want to draw?
I hope that's helpful and not too restrictive and horrible.
Last Edit: Jetara's style is a little bit Rosie the Riveter "does Star Trek," all the way down to sporting a rockabilly-mechanic-style bandana-headband when she's getting her hands dirty down in engineering. It hadn't occurred to me earlier, but this piece of clothing is definitely part of her style, and is a place that her personality would shine through her regulation uniform. Probably some kind of design on the bandana, at your discretion. Thanks!
Getting very excited about all of this.
*NEW TO DO LIST
I've added a to do list for free drawings and commissions in the initial thread post. Once I am finished with a piece I will strike through the name once the finished work is posted.
*Painted Work Examples
coming soon.
I might choose some of my favorite drawings to paint.
*How this thread helps me
You give me prompts like an art director would. Most of you give me way more information than any art director gives anyone for this work. I want opportunity to work with a wide variety of subjects. I also want to build a fanbase. So if you have friends that want some characters done, send them the link to this thread. Or share it on whatever social media thing you do. The more people that see it the better.
*You guys
Dont say sorry if its too much information. Or if its too little information. You guys play games and these characters mean something to you.
If you have five characters like a couple of you have mentioned the fairest is just make a new post with each character description. Even if its one after the other. That way there is a chance for other people to get in the list while you are writing your new post. I believe this fits the first come first serve atmosphere I've spawned.
Anyway, have a good day, and happy gaming. Should have something tomorrow.

Same Star Trek aesthetic! 2009 movie and 2013's Into Darkness!
Bislan is our Orion starship Captain (huzzah Abrams movies and introducing Orions as Federation citizens). His players describes him as broad - broad shoulders, broad chest, big arms. We've talked about Drax the Desroyer out of Guardians of the Galaxy being almost a good fit if he were the right shade of green and taller. Bislan is 6' tall, and he's bald with no facial hair. Unlike the picture I linked you, our captain does not sport metal piercings in his head or chest. The player mentions he was thinking of a "Green Idris Elba" when he decided to play the character.
Personality-wise, in the way he carries himself, Bislan has turned his back on the Orions who are typically known for violence, savagery, and slavery. Bislan is smart, in fact he is thoughtful. He's patient, and he has a cool charisma about him (as opposed to, say, Kirk's "firey" charisma). So, Bislan has this weight on his shoulders of having a crew, and bucking his culture's reputation, and the dignity of his charisma -- and the willingness to punch you out because he's a damn space adventurer. In our games, Bislan is constantly revealing cunning traps that he has set in motion off screen, so he's that kind of trickster captain.
He's the Captain, so he's sporting the command-gold tunic with the same style of straight-edged (not braided) wrist bands as Jetara. For him, from the wrist and going up, the band pattern is Thick Band-Skinny Band-Thick Band.
Does a captain's chair count as a prop? Who knows. It looks like the one from the new movies, though.
LAST EDIT: I forgot the obvious. He's 38 years old and looks it.
But essentially Valentine is like a hybrid of Clint Eastwood (in any western) , with Llewelyn Moss's penchant for trouble in a body similar to that of Lee Pace's. Also he is in a grimmer version (if possible) of the Nausicca World, basically.

First, another member of the same D&D party as the druidess. This character is a female half-elf thief, about 20 years old. Her favorite weapon is a sling, she wears leather armor, and her hair is long but should be braided and tied up so that it doesn't get in the way of all her acrobatics. She also has a spirit companion that takes the shape of a fox.
Thanks!
I have two more to request but I'll wait so as not to be a jerk.
I'd love it if you could draw my Halfling Bard, Archibald Shroudfoot, who believed he was the son of the god of Adventure.
Setting: Vanilla Pathfinder. Spent his time in a campaign centered around protecting a major city from an encroaching undead force.
He's about average halfling height, with long, loosely-curled hair that he ties into a ponytail with a fancy silk ribbon (makes a fancy bow and all). He's the skinny sort of halfling.
At his side is a longsword that he never drew, save for one dire situation, and he never actually got the chance to use it. The thing was so polished and pristine, as was the scabbard, that the players all used to joke that the thing wasn't even sharp.
His clothes are what I like to call "adventurer finery", and is mostly a ripoff of Ezio from Assassin's Creed, but without the hood. Essentially the same sort of puffy-sleeved swashbuckler shirt, a fancy vest, fancy duelist's pants, and a sidecape. However, his boots were more like shin guards - they ended at the ankle save for a strap that went under the arch of his foot. His toes were classically wooly.
Arguably his most important belonging is his violin, which he named after his mother (the name escapes me at the moment, for shame), which he kept in a hardwood violin case with fur on the top lid. The scroll and pegbox of the violin were carved to look like a singing woman.
I hope this is enough/isnt too much!
Kara "Silver" Thundermar.
Late twenties, with red hair. She has tiny silver scars on one half of her face. Wears plate armor and wields a halberd or pike. Can also cast spells (a warlock in 5e terms). Her child was stolen from her as a babe and she is searching for him, but it's been years.
Setting: NuTrek! The glitzy shiny sleek aesthetic of 2009 trek and 2013's Into Darkness.
Commander Gabriel T. Martinez is our 28 year old first officer, and chief of security. He's a redshirt! Wears the same spiral-patterned badge that I linked for Jetara earlier. On the cuffs of his tunic, his rank stripes are arranged in a Thick Band-Thick Band pattern.
Commander Martinez is human - born and raised Cuban. His player describes his appearance as: "Tall, not too broad-shouldered but still built really well, strong jaw, black hair that's cropped close at the sides and a curly mop on top of his head." I would add that he is athletic, he's a security chief who plays hockey in the cargo hold - he is in good shape. I would definitely describe him as Kinetic - he is quick, he is ready for action, he's always the first into danger. He is also a handsome specimen. We've always said that he has gorgeous cheekbones.
Personality-wise, Gabe is responsible - he always puts his duties first. He respects the dignity owed to every species and culture they encounter. He is calm and cool, always staying in control when there is danger afoot. He has the FIERY charisma, complimenting Captain Bislan's cool charms. He is also, inside, riddled with self-doubt -- he doesn't think he has what it takes to lead, to command -- he was kind of steamrolled into his position as commander against his will (yay family in positions of authority?) but he keeps it together and just tries to do his job. He explicitly wears his red security tunic and not a gold command tunic, he is so uncomfortable with leading. But he is brave. And stoic. And better than he realizes.
Props-wise? I'd say he gets the phaser, and phaser holster on his hips, straight out of the new trek movies. I'll help find a decent picture of them.

Looking forward to showing it off to my group!
Setting: Shadowrun
Stats: Dwarf. As a drone rigger and decker, he doesn't have much to do physically, and spends most of a mission in the driving seat of his van.
Physical Description: He looks like Alfred E. Neumann from the cover of Mad Magazine, only with the muttonchop/moustache combo sported by Lemmy from Motörhead. He doesn't take very good care of himself, due to the combination of poverty and not needing to impress people socially.
Clothing: He jacks into the Matrix using a repurposed American Football helmet (his team is the UNLV Rebels, as he grew up in Vegas). He wears a souvenir T-shirt from Half Pints Tavern & Cabaret ("We've Lowered the Bar!"), the Dwarf-only establishment where he was raised. His cargo shorts are held up with a dice pattern belt with an Ace of Spades buckle, and wears desert boots have rainbow laces. Around his neck is a bolo tie made of an Excalibur $100 chip. The ensemble is completed with black fingerless driving gloves.
Van: A black GMC Bulldog Step Van, with red fluffy dice, an Elvis dashboard bobblehead, and a TARDIS air freshener.
Personality: Dorky the Drone Rigger is eminently capable when driving around the mean streets of Seattle or investigating security software from the inside, but he isn't the kind of Dwarf you'd take home to meet your parents. He grew up in Vegas' only Dwarf bar and cabaret, and his van's MP3 player is filled with showtunes, Abba, and cabaret favourites. Until recently, he was living out of his van between jobs, but has taken up semi-permanent residence in the apartment of a rich runner associate in exchange for being his wheelman. Despite his seedy lifestyle and down at heel appearance, Dorky never lets the world get him down. When materialising in the Matrix, Dorky's childhood and Dwarfish heritage (fuelled primarily by High Fantasy books) fuse, fighting security programs with exploding dice and an axe that looks like a fanned hand of cards.
If you're still taking requests, I've got one.
Name: Nurk Shinefind
Race: Kobold
Class: Necromancer
Setting: 13th age.
Equipment: Tattered and worn robe, wand made of sharpened bone. Symbol of the Great Gold Wyrm on a necklace made of 'leather'
He's got some scars on his face and his tail is missing some chunks. One is is cloudy and dead, one is jet black. He also has a skeleton that he rides around on to get places.
He's sort of withered and sluggish for the most part, but tries his best to do good!
I've got another senior crewman from our Trek campaign, if you're willing.
Setting: NuTrek! Glitzy revamp of the Original Series! 2009 Trek/2013 Into Darkness!
Lt. Commander Fang Peizhi is our crew's Science Officer! She is Chinese, hailing from Hangzhou city, China. Fang wears the NuTrek uniform dress - specifically the long-sleeve variant so her rank is on display. As a Lt. Commander, the band pattern on her sleeve from the cuff heading up is Thick Band-Thin Band. The player has been experimenting with what Fang's face looks like, and she's settled on what feels right with the limited tools at her disposal. Hair-wise, we're talking long, straight, black hair - and her bangs are pulled back and clipped in place. She is 33.
Personality-wise? Fang is brilliant. Brilliant. Multiple specialties, all because it's her job to say what does and doesn't pose a risk to the crew and the people they help. Fang is responsible, a diligent worker - who knows she is the smartest person in the room so you should probably just do what she says, gosh, okay? She has a fixation on upholding the Prime Directive that borders on the fetishistic, owing to a personal failure to uphold it early in her career -- in her heart, she is kind of a paladin in terms of doing what's right, and helping people, and saving lives, and occasionally being an ass. I refer to her as a paladin because it would be very easy to read all of this and get the idea of a delicate science nerd waif -- but Fang takes action to make what she want into a reality. On the surface she is calm and knows her place in the chain of command (as long as she doesn't know better than you, in which case: move over, buddy) and comes off as easy to work with and even deferential, but beneath that she is pure steel: she will not budge on her personal values, her sense of ethics, or protecting the people she cares about.
Prop-wise? I think the new tricorder would be cool!
Name: Braveblade Faerrash Vaduh
Occupation: Ranger, beast master
Notable Features: athletic, 2 ft 6 in, 25lbs, skin is about a 19 on the Von Luschan's chromatic scale, forest green eyes, brown hair, wears a tinfoil hat
Race: halfling (D&D type)
Character's Equipment: carries two short swords, wares studded leather armor, keeps a quiver and short bow on his Pteranodon
Setting: The Forgotten Realms, Fantasy 5th to 15th century ish
Companion/mount: a female Pteranodon named Tardis, has a saddle with a quiver with arrows, and short bow attached, also wares studded leather bardding
Backstory: Braveblade was not always a halfling. He was once a proud Dragonborn defendant of the original house of the Braveblade ruling clan of Te'athsh under Ethnoran. His childhood name given to him by the clanmaster was leader. He matured faster than all dragonborn before him. By adult hood at the age of 15 he was already the clanmaster of the house of braveblade. His clan wondered the land after the spell plague ended until they found the abandoned Fort Beluariam where they are worshiped by the natives who believe they are the offspring of man and dinosaurs. That was until one night after a successful hunt. Braveblade Faerrash Vadula and other clan hunters had celebrated the hunt by drinks and songs. On his way home strange creatures who traveled by magic flying disks abducted Braveblade. The next thing Braveblade could remember was waking up as a Halfling in the middle of the jungles of Chult. His pride to damaged to return to his clan he left to travel the world to find his abductors and force them to change him back it to his proud Dragonborn form.
I am giving all this details just so you have what's in my head. Really tho the only must haves for me are the halfling, tin hat, two short swords, and a Pteranodon(if adding her is to much I could do with out).
Also guys just FYI. I'm about 150 bucks away from being commissioned the same money I'd be paid at this part time art store cashier job for a month ahead. I wanted to do a month ahead just to be safe so I could quit and wake up and do this all day again. It will jump start my career out of the mundane. If you are feeling generous and thankful, and enjoy your free drawings, donate or 'tip' any amount you deem fit to paypal - carlton.tomlin@gmail.com - with the subject or reason - "beastro donation" so I know it came from here.
Cheers everyone.
FUN
@Egos
Ok, lot of requests already, but I'd like to submit my current character.
World: 4e Dark Sun
Name (and title): Skaar, Breaker of Mountains
Race: Goliath
Role: Berserker with Gladiator theme
Notable physical features: Height is 7 feet, 9 inches. Weight is 290lbs. He is 30 years olds. He wears a bear pelt over his left soldier, tatoos on his right shoulder. He has shoulder length hair and wears a kilt and boots. He uses a fullblade made from a dragon's tooth and keeps it strapped to his back when not fighting.
It's been said but this is an amazing thread.
A+ Would look again
