At least eventually we will get the She-Hulk supplemental where we find out who the best lay in the Marvel universe is. They're really putting her about.

EDIT: Jeez, she's apparently married to John Jameson too? She really is a ho.

Favorite book this week has to be Rising from Annihilation - Nova. I know it's basically a rip-off of the Green Lantern corps., but this book was great. Nova jetting all over the galaxy, fighting outerspace monsters, slowly wearing down... I picked this up on a whim, but I'm definately going to be following it for the foreseeable future.
Nova vs. Iron Man next issue! And for the first time Nova learns about the destruction of the New Warriors and the whole Civil War. Oughta be good.

    Wait, what?

Is this a reference to Spidey making his dong stick in MJ?

EDIT: Nova's less a rip off of GLC than he is of Kyle Rayner, when Kyle got started. Both of them are/were the last surviving members of a Corps, both have untold power.

I don't want to read Nova till I finish Annihilation... so even though I bought it, it's going to be sitting there for a long, long time.

    Well, in Annihilation #4...
He knew about Civil War. He may have even known what happened to the New Warriors in Stamford. But he also had about six billion other people on Earth just as important to him to worry about and to save from the Annihilation Wave. Killing Annihilus was more important than going down and telling everyone to stop fighting. He did, in the previous issue send a whole brief about the Annihilation Wave to Reed Richards. Clearly, it meant fuck-all in regards to Civil War. He put Earth as a whole and the rest of the universe above his friends, his family, and Earth supers in general. And in fact, he put it this way
Peter: Earth's got its protectors. Hell, the Fantastic Four alone stood down Galactus--

Nova: You've been monitoring the transmissions from Earth. You know what's going on down there.

    "A house divided cannot stand."

We had a united front and look where it got us: They're split into warring factions down there... Of no use to us, to anyone! It's as if they've forgotten how to be heroes.

I'd just as soon bring in the Badoon.

Peter: They'll unite against a common foe, Richie. We've seen it a thousand times. The Annihilation Wave will--

Nova: --Rip the planet out from under them while they shoot at each other!

I became Nova because of them. I'll stay Nova in spite of them.

Gonna avoid that spoiler, cuz I haven't actually read much of Annihilation itself yet. Skipped over it to begin with, heard it was awesome, and decided to wait for the paperback trades to come out (curse you, hardcover collection! Your price hovers just out of my poor-ass reach!). I flipped through Nova and didn't see any spoilers that I didn't already know about, so I decided to pick it up.

But yeah, I already have a fairly good idea how Nova will react. Also, looking forwards to an inevitable confrontation between him and Penance.

Given his status as a "public" universal peacekeeper, I'm inclined to agree with you about his stance on registration. As it relates to Nova #2-3, I don't think he sees the need for himself to register because he's Nova and he's not going to be around Earth much for a while to play first-responder.

However, I think he'd be pissed to see how the New Warriors have gotten, arguably unfairly, slagged over Stamford.

Indeed. I would suspect that Richard's reaction would be, "Clean up your own mess. I have to help out planet systems that not only don't have hundreds of superhumans, but in fact have none. Later."

If the Pro-Reg heroes do their damn job, they'll lead Hulk to the desert (exactly where the final battle of Civil War should have taken place).

When fighting against someone who doesn't want civilian casualties, you'd be an idiot to not convince them to relocate a battle to a more isolated location.

If I recall, it wasn't the Pro-Reg people who took the battle to NYC.

As for Hulk...I wonder what percentage of his fights have taken place in the desert...it seems like it has to be a huge amount.

I still think though that the proper location is off-world, i.e. the moon. Hulk doesn't have teleporters, Earth has plenty of them (Strange's apparent loss of that ability notwithstanding). Nightcrawler can't get to the moon, but we've seen that Sentry can punch wormholes open, not to mention Gateway, etc.

If he's Earth's only hope. However, like I said, he also has to consider the needs of planets and systems with no superhumans, with no way of dealing with superhumans (especially cosmic-level supers) vs. the fact that Earth, and specifically the U.S. literally now has an army of superheroes (among them being cosmic-level, like Sentry, and gods. Literally. They have gods [or, well, one I am certain of: Ares] in their army) at its disposal.
