I've been reading about how Wanda interacts with the Legion Omega node and...that is some bizarre shit.

The Something Blue from the Walter White Achievement is the Mysterious Blue Box. And it's really simple to farm. Right in front of the ship in ICP he spawns ever minute or so. If you combine that with doing the daily mission, you can bang it out in a day or in a few days of completing the ICP daily. I got a Sinster's Curiass for my efforts.
hm, haven't been able to load up Marvel Heroes with the new PC, it will stay up for like 2 seconds and then stop working. I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers, version 350.12, sounding like it might be incompatible with MH? just curious if anyone else has an idea of how I could fix this issue.
Turn off nvstream completely in the nvidia experience program. When installing the drivers, unless you are actually using them, don't install the sound driver or the 3d stuff. I had a similar problem after upgrading to a new card.

Thanks, tried it and it still isn't working, gotta love Nvidia drivers v_v

Are you using Overwolf by chance? I was and it kept making my game crash. As soon as I turned it off it was normal.
I feel like going back to this game, but I don't know if I should make a new account. Back when I started, I couldn't start with Captain America or Rocket Raccoon and those sound pretty great.

If you still can't get it to work try looking in the tech support forum to see if anyone has a fix. If not PM Xarex on their forums (Brevik) with your issue and PC specs. On his streams he often tells people to directly message him on forums and then he forwards issues directly to the proper people.
Brevik said on stream tonight they had the highest player count since launch this weekend. About double the normal concurrent users on Steam (way more people use the standalone client). Also, Brevik will be playing the game Monday at 5pm PST on the Geeks & Sundry Twitch channel.
how would you guys say this compares to diablo 3? I'm gonna give it a shot probably, but a lot of the gameplay videos out there seem kinda uninspiring
It compares to Diablo 3 directly. It's more comic book looking rather than fantasy world.
But the gameplay is pretty much the same. You get a person, they get loot, you put the loot on them
They blow things up
They get more loot
You put THAT loot on them

If you are interested in it It's F2P (about a 16 gig install) and you can play a bunch of heroes for free up to level 10, so all it costs you to try it out is some time and bandwidth.

It's way more like D2 than D3. Multiple skill trees per character, putting points into powers to make them stronger, stats on your character and gear, etc. Which makes sense, since the head of the studio was the lead designer/one of the lead designers of Diablo 1 and 2.
I play both D3 and MH, but end up only playing D3 when my friend is around, because I find that game gets kinda stale solo. MH is (for me at least) more fun to play solo since it operates a bit more like an MMO, where other players are around doing their own thing. I like both games and they scratch a similar itch (isometric click and loot-fest), but MH is the game I end up spending way more time on.
As mentioned, when you first play the game you can level several heroes up to lvl 10, and then you'll get to choose which one of them you want as your first hero that you can take to lvl 60. So it's a good way to see how different characters play. (I'm incredibly partial to Captain America who is a beast through the entire game. If you pick him you'll have a perfectly viable character for end-level content).
I'd start off in story mode, which is fairly easy going and a decent way to see how your character plays while you start the loot treadmill. It will also introduce you to a lot of the enemy types, locations, and boss fights of the game. Plus there are distinct bonuses that you get for playing through the story such as extra power points (points that increase your skills) and experience point boosts.
At any time you can also play one of the "Patrols" which are Industry City Patrol and Midtown City Patrol. These are huge areas where everyone runs around together and defeats basic enemies and boss waves. Good for the xp & loot grind.
As you play you will get eternity splinters, which is the currency for unlocking heroes and team-up heroes. If you don't have any heroes, it's cheapest to buy a random hero box, because the odds are good it won't be a hero you already have.
Starting out I would also consider purchasing a team-up hero with your splinters. A team-up hero is an AI computer partner who runs around with you, causes damage, acts as a meat shield and gives you extra inventory space. I ran with Groot when I first started, and since he's the cheapest team-up hero, he's the one I would recommend because he's tanky and does decent damage.
At higher levels there are a lot of customization and enhancement options including enchantments, runes, unique upgrades, high level artifacts, etc, so there ends up being plenty to do later.
Any word on how long the Ultron event is going to last?

ultron event as in the game mode? I was under the impression it was there to stay.

The Avengers XP is going to last for all of May. I believe we're getting a new event Thursday. The Age of Ultron mode in game is staying and is permanent.
MH is a lot more fun than d3 in my opinon, mostly due to the fact the loot doesn't make your build, it enhances it. When you find something good it's a, "ooh that will make my build even better!" moment, rather than a, "Finally, I can use the skills I wanted to all along." one.
Also something to keep in mind. One of the head designers for MH (and now the CEO? for Gazillion) is Dave Brevik. Better known as the guy who CREATED DIABLO.
So yeah it definitely takes inspiration from those games.

Thank god.
I already leveled all my avengers back during Big Ten so the whole Avengers thing has been kind of boring for me.
I played this when it launched, but picking up all the crafting loot (and the crafting itself) was tiresome.
I'm a huge Marvel fan though, and I'd like to get back into it. Frankly I'm a little intimidated. You guys seem to be speaking another language sometimes. All these currencies, and shards, and whatnot. Is there a good primer available?
Also, aren't both Dr. Doom and War Machine coming? They both sound fun. A new character sounds like the perfect time to dive back in.

Well, it ain't much of a bonus, but you do get 50% xp towards OP. Sooooooo...not completely worthless?

So last night I did the 50 levels of Holo Sim achievement with Hulk. Got the Doop and Cosmic Doop achievement along with the Sisterhood one. Got him from 1 to 35 along the way.

Was this a prestige character, or was it the first time you ever played him?
Yay, got Cyclops to 60! 2nd lvl 60 character. I thought I would take the time to go and get the story mode rewards, but I'll probably start a fresh story run with Hawkeye/Scarlet Witch to get all of the story-related achievements. Plus, when unified story mode finally rolls around I probably won't have to go through the drudgery of getting all those power points/spirit & health boosts again.

from the standpoint of difficulty/complexity/etc though

The endgame stuff can be decently challenging. Complexity really depends on the hero. Cyclops is super simple while Dr. Strange has a lot going on.

Does Vision get the boost? Because that would make it worthwhile.
Yes he does.
