"oh I can adapt to literally anything"
"okay you're gonna get blown up in your only action scene"
"ok cool"
He...he just adapted to play dead...that's all!
movie could have stripped out all the other X-Men no problem
Not that the racism of it isn't bad enough but its even worse that Darwin was actually really cool and fun.

Then that scene came, and I was like, oh ya, he's gonna do something insane with that and rescue everyone.
and then
Yes, Doom is no one's second movie!
and I was laughing my head of at the end, because they seemingly reconnected most of the movies that I dislike from even happening.
I'm still annoyed by some stuff in the movie, but it wasn't really enough to ruin the experience for me.
Oh no that was Emah Phrost. We all know Emma is only like 12 in this timeline.

I think I'm done with Remender. I keep trying the various things he writes because his Uncanny X-Force is one of my favourite runs of anything, but I'm just tired of how much he shits all over his characters. It reminds me of Brubaker's Daredevil, but he doesn't do it with every series he writes. Also, I realize Remender tends to bring characters down to depressing levels so they can rise up in triumph, but he just takes it too far for my tastes.
Low is well written and pretty. It just isn't the sort of thing I want to read anymore.
Steam: MightyPotatoKing
It's called Low
Anyway, I think Low is kind of an interesting departure in some ways for Remender because while what's going on around the main character is horrific (I mean we are talking about a post apocalyptic world where literally everyone except her has basically given in to the idea of the human race's extinction), Stel remains steadfast in her hope for something better.
She is Remender's most optimistic protagonist ever, inhabiting his most nihilistic setting yet. It's a fascinating dichotomy. It's absolutely a challenging read though.
I was gonna get them eventually, but I've gotten Hannah into it so I ordered them sooner rather than later.
Also, she lent me her copy of Superman: Birthright.
It was... really really good.
I think my favorite panel in the entire thing is Superman giving Lois this super awkward wink after saving the day.
edit: Found it!
Do it after Apocalypse, and have new young Cyclops go out adventuring with his father

I still say they should have done X-Men Origins as Charles and Erik meeting and basically just be about them meeting and then teaming up with some other random one-off to stop some other mutant. Set in the 60s.
Then you have X-Men Origins: First Class and hell introduce the Hellfire Club as the villains and put it in the 70s and they have to recruit a team and yeah.
Then put X-Men: Days of Future Past in the 80s and do basically what they did just set in the 80s instead. Like, basically more or less what they did, plus/minus the better changes they could have made.
Then go for X-Men Age of Apocalypse set in the 90s.
And then say fuck it and do X-Factor/X-Force spin off movies after that.
It would have been so damn fun.
Yeah this would've been slightly better.
Better to just have the "first class" team for DoFP (basically like they did), have the movie end with a few more than it started with, and do the Charles/Erik break-up in that movie (instead of at the end of First Class). Then in AoA have a big enough team to let the X-Factor folks break off into a spin-off movie.
