I think they were just part of a slide about the new items that were being worked on while they were talking about design philosophy stuff. No actual info on them.
hopefully they come out in the next patch
also the WD should totally wear the cat like a backpack like in adventure time
Yeah, the build gets screwed on AoE in so many ways. I wish arrows could pierce, since that would help. I've found that if I run grifts in a group with it, that it's better to drop baleful because most of the pets from that end up being useless and sport a furnace. So in some ways, I feel like they need to revisit weapons and make it so that furnace is go to weapons for so many grift specs. I doubt petsader is at the top of their list of Crusader specs to work on (my guess is either Roland or Condemn will be up there, since they likely do want to get a melee dps spec up to where stampede is for the class first). In addition to arrows from bowmen piercing, I'd probably either add to baleful's proc an on chance to lower all CDs by 1s when pets land successful hits or make that into a legendary item for another affix. The former has the upside of limiting the change to just specs that could switch to baleful without dropping a build defining weapon (sadly, I don't think there really is any way to limit it to just petsader). The latter would avoid possible justifications to make baleful rarer or complaints about the weapon being to OP, but it has the downside of having a far greater impact since if it is an amulet, belt or bracers, makes it something that any Akkhan build that can fit bowmen or get away with baleful, could use. I suppose they could do it for anything that really isn't gloves or rings (every petsader build wants T&T and both the Akkhan and non-Akkhan builds are pretty much booked on rings with SoJ, Unity, RoRG and Eternal Union as solid rings.
I'd also like to see them revisit primary generators for the build because either the melee stuff is a no go for high lvls or the ranged stuff is pretty lacking. None of the physical justice runes are particularly good for the build. If they aren't willing to do that, I would mind something added that makes using one of the medium cost spenders more sustainable. Not to mention that Falling Sword and Bombardment need shorter baseline CDs, with Falling Sword possibly being free.
What you describe is an amazing crusader equivalent to the Starmetal Kukri and we all know how OP that shizz is. I don't think we need something to that extent. Otherwise it'll just be another .001% drop. Pet crusaders already requires gg Tasker and Theo and gg Eternal Union. With those we just are a sub-par pet build in comparison to an actual witch doctor. Also cdr would be nonexistent with that kind of setup when you have 3.12 aps bowmen knocking off 1 second so quickly and that sounds a bit OP to me. Or if the Baleful had a % chance to proc cdr, people would run around stacking aps instead of cdr. Then it would just be a sub-par Demon Hunter with Marauders.
Basically pet crusader is really lackluster and I can't really think of a way they could form any synergy with what we currently have now. Despite the fact they introduced 2 brand new legendaries to create the pet crusader. I love the flavor of the build and theoretically it should be a good build for higher greater rifts. We can hide around corners and let the pets do the work but it just all falls apart beyond greater rift 35+. What a shame.
I think the pet crusader really needs some other form of supplemental damage beyond the really poor cool down of bombardment and falling sword. Those are fantastic burst skills which is what pet crusaders are missing. I think Blizzard tried to fix that with the new crusader belt that casts bombardment every 6 seconds. I guess until then I'll just run it at T6 for farming shards and stuff. A lot of pubs seem to like the little armies
The bombardment belt seems awful dumb. Bombardment by itself is on a reasonably long cooldown and usually not worth using. Then there's a belt that just passively spams bombardment more often than you could even with maxed cdr. It doesn't make the skill any better, and you don't even need to have the skill to use it anymore.
Though, the final version won't necessarily be every 6 seconds. Still doesn't make much it less stupid
Bombardment with the Annihilate rune is actually a crapton of damage. More so than any other rune, even if you're non-Fire. I'm wondering if a build with The Mortal Drama (twice as many Bombardments) would be viable with the belt. My Crusader doesn't have a ton of CDR yet, but with Lord Commander I'd be able to get the cooldown down to 25 seconds. I think the Bombardment belt is actually going to be a really good item.
Since I can't really reach one-shot city with my connection, when I run Stampede, I tend to run with bombardment and I've found that Annihilate is better than Impact in so many ways. It always crits, so it's pretty much more damage even though I don't have any fire damage. Bombardment also has some janky-ass targeting and delay, so if it doesn't target right and/or mobs move before it lands, it tends to not be completely wasted, where impact often ends up being a waste.
I really hope they lower the baseline CD because with lord commander and as much CDR as I have, I still have to wait quite a bit for it to be back up (I think around 18 seconds with like 57% CDR).
I'd be fine if the belt they add ultimately lowers the CD or or just removes it, but at the cost of wrath. I don't want the ability to only be good, when someone has belt of the trove.
Incidentally, slowly going through grifts to finish up the last of the career gem lvling for S1. Currently, have 5 lvl 31 keystones and another 6 lvl 32 keys. With boon at lvl 21 and enforcer at lvl 18. I'll probably just upgrade 4 of the remaining 31 keys to lvl 32, but given how I'm doing this, I won't opt for upgrading enforcer until I'm on the last key and only if that key ends up only being up-gradable to lvl 32. Not sure how many of the lvl 32 keys I can get to lvl 33, but I figure worse case scenario, I'll get those two gems up to rank 23 before having to worry about failing upgrades. Ideally, I'd like to get them to lvl 28 minimum (sure allow for my pets for my petsader build to kill shit quickly with like 67% of the mobs exploding into gold, when I get the killing blow).
I figure in S2, I might get a gogok to snuff, since that grift changes could make it so that I can actually hit a point where risk of death is more common for me with my current connection (I lose quite a bit of time on rubberbanding bullshit and it does fuck with line up some shots as well). Granted, I've also had too many rifts where it's just dead space that I have to travel over while the time is ticking down.

I think if they improve the proc rate of Akkarat's Awakening, say from 25% up to 50 or 60%, then maybe that will be a good way to make a Bombardment spec viable. Cast Bombardment with Mortal Drama, use Punish and Provoke: Hit Me to max block chance, then reset cool downs and repeat. You wouldn't even need the Akkhan set so you're free to run Aughild, Captain Crimson, Born's or any other mix-n-match legendaries that you never get to use.
As it stands the cool down on Bombardment is far too long, even with high CDR, Gloves of Worship and an Empowered Shrine. Blizzard could always go the same route they did with Condemn and make a legendary that turns Bombardment into a spender, but that's a little uninspired. Maybe do something with an underused skill, like "casting Falling Sword also casts Bombardment", finally make that Cam's Rebuttal in my stash useful. Or "casting Consecration also casts Bombardment" so I can pair it with an Inviolable Faith so I can literally fill the screen with Bombardments.
Incase anyone hasn't seen it yet, here's an image with the full seasonal armor set. Season 1 pieces on the left, seasons 1+2 in the middle, seasons 1+2+3 for the full set on the right.
Will be interesting to see what they come up with for S4 and beyond mogs. I think they are doing away with hit lvl 70 for S2, so I'm curious if the mogs will be given out for hitting lvl 70 or if they plan on attaching that reward to a different achievement.

I don't think they're dumping the seasonal achievement for hitting 70 in season two, just the conquest for being one of the first hundred or thousand or whatever X number of people to do it to get on the conquest memorial wall. They could still easily tie it to hitting 70 next season too.
The new barbarian set seems pretty cool. How do barbarians sustain whirlwind these days? Or do you just alternate between building fury and then dumping all of it?
I've had a lot of fun and success on T6 running a physical Leapquake + Whirlwind build on my seasonal Barbarian. I go with Might of the Earth helm, shoulders and gloves, Lut Socks, Hexing Pants, Blackthorne chest and amulet, Strongarm Bracers and Ring of Royal Grandeur. A Heart Slaughter would be the ideal weapon but you can use any high damage 2-hander you have.
With the Earthen Might passive you will generate 45 fury every time you leap (15 for leap + 30 for earthquake), so with 3 leaps that's 135 fury. You then use Sprint: Run like the Wind and Whirlwind: Dust Devils until you're out of fury, then leap 3 times again. All of those tornadoes will proc Pain Enhancer and once it's a high enough level you can just sprint/whirlwind right through trash and let the DOT finish them while you run to the next pack. Against blue elites you should only need 3 leaps plus a little whirlwinding to kill them. Gold elites will probably take 2-3 leap cycles depending on your damage. This is a fast and mobile build but can be a little squishy since you will be passing right over elite damage affixes, so I usually go supplement my toughness by running 3 diamonds and 2 rubies.
Solo I use Wrath of the Berserker for burst damage and double Unity for toughness, but in groups I will use War Cry: Impunity along with Chilanik's Chain for movement speed. You can also combine this with the Immortal Kings set for better fury management, toughness or damage depending on your needs. Use EQ shoulders, gloves and pants, IK helm, chest and belt, then swap Wrath of the Berserker for Call of the Ancients. Ancients Fury will let you sustain Whirlwind a lot longer thanks to the fury the ancients generate, but I prefer either The Council Rises for extra damage or Together as One for extra toughness.
I found a pretty good Moonlight Ward on my hardcore wizard, but I'm not quite sure what to do with it. I'd been playing mostly fire/lightning so far. Arcane Torrent's arcane runes seem noticeably less lethal than the lightning one.
Maybe I'll just go back to disintegrate and suck it up when I fight wallers.
The ability to see how long a clan member has been offline is coming in the PTR for patch 2.1.2, along with the ability to sort clan members by offline duration (as well as some other social improvements). Keep an eye on the upcoming notes for patch 2.1.2, and let us know what you think of these new features on the PTR!
hurray! now our purges will be 33% more effective!
I have enough Firebirds to do the 5 piece + RoRG thing now, due to some extremely generous Kadala action last night (Three pieces in under 1k shards).
I assume this is where people generally swap to the blizzard + mammoth hydra build?
Depends what you want to do, that build isn't great for smashing through T6 rifts for example. I'm running explosive blast for destroying t6 rifts. If you want to push through 30+ grifts, then yea you probably want to switch to that.

PTR should be happening later this month.
That is correct!
The PTR for patch 2.1.2 is not yet available. We're looking to launch it sometime this month (which may change depending on our development schedule). When the PTR does go live, we'll post our usual "PTR Now Available" message on the front page and on the current set of PTR patch notes.
I'm just going to sit on the full set organs and multiple sets of keys I have until they make crafting an HFA not suck royally. Also given it looks like they are leaning towards allowing crafted gear to sometimes roll as an ancient legendary, I wouldn't bother making any HFA's until either the next patch goes live or until Blizz confirms they aren't going that route and only if those mats would be useless for getting an ancient legendary HFA.
In other news, got done with my grift binge for now. I think I'll do another before the next patch since I can get to grift lvl 32 easily, lvl 33 reliably, lvl 34 most of the time and I managed to get a lvl 34 done in time (opted for gem upgrade because I knew it was likely to suck balls). Manage to get the hoarder up to rank 35 before it hit the point where it wasn't worth ranking up and got the enforcer to rank 30. I'll probably work on getting the enforcer, mirinae, pain enhancer and bain of the trapped up to rank 35 next time I do this (might even get a gogok up to rank 35). Depending on how things go, might even up for a higher rank if I can consistently get lvl 35 or higher keys.
My bowmen now do almost 25% more damage when I have that enforcer socketed and 77.5% of the mobs I kill explode into gold. Also have pretty good uptime with champion, so I get plenty of minions out of baleful remnant. Clearly at some point I need to get enough CDR for permanent champion for my petsader build and get boon of the hoarder up high enough that 100% of the mobs I kill explode into gold. Nothing most go to waste, I will turn every dead mob's soul into an avatar (assuming I haven't capped out my limit for those minions) and every mobs body will be converted into gold, nothing will go to waste (well most of the gold will just sit wherever the fuck gold is stored on characters and never get used the way I'm going).
I have it for my stampede build and season condemn build.
It's harder to do with my petsader build because my phalanx shield only has 6% CDR, I can't run with Leoric's Crown since I'm running T&T and my baleful didn't roll CDR (I mean I could get CDR on there, but seems like a waste). Also gogok is a poor gem choice for the build.
oh okay that makes sense. I kind of thought it was that. I think I can get 56% even without leoric's but it's certainly easier. Oh and I have 9% CDR on my furnace too. Makes sense though.
I know it's not D3 stuff, but I just looked at the Lost Ark trailer and wow. I sure wish Blizzard worked on those attack/spell animations a bit more, there's so much stuff that can be done!
That said, I might be back to play some D3, now that I have the time. Has much changed since the launch of the Seasons patch?
Twice now I've got Jade Armor w/ INT, VIT, 2x Socket, and random garbage. Rolled the first one to +15% Haunt dmg. What is ultimately more valuable- one more socket or +15% Haunt?

Nah, I'm pretty ok with D3 being more low-key in caster/ability effects, it's more about the monsters and them being gibbed. LA looks like a fun, beautiful game though but I wonder how it'd handle multiplayer? That's a route D3 did the right thing by in 2.1.

Is this worth using Ram's gift to add free socket or should I wait for better roll? If I switched over then I would be losing about 17% overall dps.
