Howdy there folks. Any chance I can get an invite to the clan if it's not too much trouble? bnet info is Brak#1245
Looking forward to looting Sanctuary with you bustas.
if you're already running a 2-hander the added elite dmg should compensate for the sheet dps loss. If you're running a sunkeeper please realise that a 1.4 weapon means your sheet dps is inflated with ias mods that don't actually get used in the DOT calculations. If you're running with a non sunkeeper it kind of depends on your total + % fire skill dmg.
furthermore you don't mention the other rolls, so im not sure if it has + % dmg already, which would let you reroll the dmg range.
Whelp, I tuned up my firebird pieces and went from having a modest challenge on T3 to pretty well handling T5 rifts. My firebirds aren't even that well affixed. 90% total +elite damage though, will get you a long way. And that 6 piece effect is disgusting. I can't decide if it's OP'd or if other wizard things are just super lacking, but FB is incredibly more effective than anything else I've tried, it's actually literally not funny.
there is indeed nothing else for wizards that compares to fb. its basically about what fb strat do you use.... hydra? molten impact? apoc? or some variant build you come up with

Currently I have 2h on my crusader with very good rolls and none of my skills are fire damage. The Furnace I got has only has 1590 top damage, 1050 str, 950 vit and 9% cdr. I can reroll dmg for something higher or vit for +% dmge and put in free socket. But it seems like a bit of waste for free socket box. I think I am leading towards replacing vit with +% dmg. Even with +10% dmg roll, I would lose out 15%-18% over all dmg.
My current furnace has mid 1500ish dps, less than 1k str, 10% elite damage, rerolled 10% CDR (was a socket at one point) and 41% elite damage for the affix (got a second one is the stash waiting for me to get more CDR before it gets a socket box and sees use) and with my shitty satellite connection, I'm able to consistently get to lvl 34 grifts and manage to clear one. So your furnace should serve you well; especially, if you're using it for a crusader since you can just reroll the vit into % dmg.

Ugh why can't I just get Akkhan shoulders so I can piece out my set for other stuff...I've had 3 gloves in the last couple days and several Roland's and Blackthornes pieces but no bloody shoulders!
Also I apparently scrapped my good RoRG a couple days ago when I was comparing getting a new ring and misclicked and I didn't realize until the next day. Got a new one but it's just OK.

Hey, Kadala heard me badmouthing her in here and gave me Akkhan shoulders (and another of the same legendary ones I've gotten 3 times)!
Also got my 3rd or 4th Fate of the Fell which has better damage than my last one, but no luck rolling a socket yet...I did roll it up to 10% damage though so I think I'm saving it for a whatchamacallit to socket it (which I've never seen; is it T6 only?).

Worst case scenario they're Torment only, so playing on T1 and up they can drop. They just have a very, very rare drop chance. Probably not 1% drop rate like SMK, WoW, etc. but still a very, very low chance closer to those items than not.

I've found 3 furnaces and 1 gift.
They probably have the same drop rate or close to it. I've never found a furnace on any character but have found one gift before seasons went live. Averaged out most people find more gifts than rarer weapons like Furnace, even if it's like three or four gifts to one or two furnaces.
I hate you all. I have found zero furnaces, and 1 smk (at paragon 510, I finally got one). I have 8 gifts in the bank. That's after gifting 4 weapons on my WD, and one each on my dh, barb, and crusader alts...

Report from bizarroverse. Count your blessings with that furnace droprate.
2 okay furnaces, both on the sader. I think 7 gifts altogether (1 season and 6 career - two o which are sitting in the stash). I'm curious if they drop rate for gifts is higher for grifts than anywhere else because that seems to be where I've gotten most of mine (I think I've gotten about half from grifts, one from random trash outside of rifts and the rest from non-greater rifts).
Edit: Just saw this over on Diablo fans:
Joahn Yang and Wyatt Cheng have answered a few community questions via Twitter in the last few days. Here's the short version of what we learned:
The redesigned Skull Grasp will be additive with the new Barbarian Set.
The Chest piece of the new Demon Hunter Set will actually be a Cloak, not a regular chest armor.
Ancient Items will not look different from "regular" Legendaries on the ground, you can only tell them apart after being identified.
The devs agree that you're currently doing GR Trials too often and are looking into it.
Instead of buffing Furnace drop rates, new and more interesting Legendary weapons will be implemented.
Bullet three, I think this is the devs just looking for ways to force people to ID legendary drops instead of sharding them without identification. Pretty sure most of the trash still will get sharded regardless. I don't like how this implies that breaking down an ancient legendary will likely yield the same amount of mats as a normal legendary. I feel that should either give double souls or give a soul and a new grafting mat that we can use with the mystic to both make enchanting less shitty and if you have enough to boost an existing normal legendary into ancient status (actually, the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of have a progression path people can work on to upgrade legendary items into ancient legendary items over having them be drops; especially, with the possible implications of bullet five. I'm hoping bullet five only pertains to furnace because I agree mechanically it very boring and it's only BiS for builds that don't have a set weapon because of the 40-50% elite damage affix. I think they should boost it if it's going to be BiS, but if not, I want them to not carry philosophy to build defining items, where the item is needed because it changes mechanics.
Bullet four has some interesting implications. I hope this leads to removing trials because they aren't fun and they tend to encourage different gearing and builds than what people actually use for grifts.
I found my only one in a grift. I always wonder if it's because of that bug, that I have to notice it in my big pile of loot, but I miss it when it's not in that big pile o loot.
Yeah, that bug probably doesn't help either. I'm wondering how many I might have missed during party runs, since that's where I don't loot everything that is a legendary, yellow, blue, gem and crafting mats (fuck normal items, they can rot on the ground). I feel like gift, bottomless potions, keystones, warden keys, gems and crafting mats should be auto loots; especially, if one of them has bug where it doesn't display properly on the ground. Also they need to let gifts, legendary gems (only when they are the same rank, though I'd rather just go with a model similar to paragon lvls and the player simply uses mats and gold to craft the gems they need) and legendary potions stack. Hell, we should be able to break unwanted legendary potions down because 519g is way to low for how rare they are, though upping the sale price would be acceptable as well. A bunch of stacking stuff just needs to stack higher than 100, I think 1000 is acceptable.
On the 1k number, that's pretty much what needs to be the cap for bloodshards. A players is pretty much looking at 4-5 (usually 4 most of the times, since most yield 100+ shards) T6 rifts before they have to spend shards down. Usually 4 is about the limit for grifts lvls 28-31 (I think that's about 134), 3-4 for grifts 32-33 (I think the number is 153), at grifts lvl 34 it drops down to three since the those yield a little over a 170 shards. I wouldn't be surprised if some grift lvls, the player is looking at 2 or even just 1 rift before they have to spend down shards. Granted I'm not exactly a fan of how grifts quickly become the go to outlet for blood shards and legs (a full clear can at T6 averages about 4 but can go up to like 9; however, that takes time) once the player can start clearing the higher ones fast enough.
T6 is only really good for keystones, imperials (well greeds vault is better but it's super rare) which don't drop in grifts and crafting mats (might as well clear a grift for dust and crystals so that there is a higher chance of getting a leg that may have a slim chance of being an upgrade for the well geared).

Why on earth would legendary crap be on autopickup? And I'm kinda vary of making trial stones autopickup since you can't get them out of your inventory... Also make leg potions salvageable again, that change was a real letdown. Wouldn't mind autopickup on normal crafting mats though.
The thing they really have to do is fix the goddamn Gift bug, how hard's that?
Good points about blood shards though.

I don't think I ever missed Ramaladni's Gift and I have looted quite a few since 2.1. Each every one I've ever seen had it's respectable orange beam and star on the map. I always triple check the map view for any stars when I'm plowing through rifts. Now what I don't get is why they show it as "[]" in your stash. Honestly, they should just call it Ramaladni's Gift when they drop or Box etc. It's just a strange orange beam emitting with no name. For consistency sake they label all the other friggin' unidentified legendaries!
Also Lost Ark looks soooo gooood. However, Korean MMOs are the most notorious grind fest. You think Diablo RNG is bad. They're 1,000 times worse.
Korean games like that always look super awesome, never quite seem to pan out if they do release, and are usually made for ungodly grinding.
Thank god there's no grinding in our Western D3.
It's a knockoff/competitor of Lineage Eternal. The grind in D3, even at its worst, isn't comparable to the grind in an average Korean MMO unless you're trying to hit Paragon 1k or whatever it is that lets you max all stats but STR and VIT.
I'm not sure anything is really added to the game by making people have to pick up bottomless potions, gifts, keys (I agree that the player should be able to throw them on the ground and nuke them along with the game) or leg crafting mats. I'm fine with making players have to pick up actual gear, but there is a shit ton of stuff in this game that we have to pickup and it gets really tedious (I've hit the point, where sometimes it takes me longer to loot goblins than to kill them). I think Blizz would find that people would complain less about having to pick up yellows and blues for crafting mats, if people didn't have to pick up just about every other fucking thing that isn't a blood shard, gold or normal potion.
Column p800 is where everything but vit and primary are capped (well max resources is usually left at zero because it sucks and sometimes movement isn't capped if someone doesn't have a good skill choice, IMO a modest amount of primary stat via paragon points is better than armor or LPS for something like shotgun). I'm almost 460 and it's take over 1.5 billion exp, I would not be surprised if someone was looking at 3-5 billion around paragon 800. A high ranked boon + gold find + custarian wristguards helps, certainly more than +exp from kills, but I'm hitting the point where it's going to be a long slog regardless of what I do (though I'm starting to wonder if I should just burn down my riftstones and then do bounties again for the exp, but I have a shit ton of rift stones).

as in, it doubles the big number you get at the end of all your other modifiers (as long as it's 100% fire dmg).
so yeah that's very, very powerful.
you just need better gear for that.
5piece fb+ rorg is just the easiest to get by.
or is it still "Soon™"

re. top dmg: mine is much lower and servers me well.
advice : Reroll the cdr to 10% dmg (unless you're a crusader then vit i guess) and socket it with a gift

I'd love to know if class plays any part in gifts, it shouldn't, but drop rates in this game are dumb on multiple levels. Furnace doesn't drop for DH, is 2.17% for Barb, Monk, and Wiz, 2.78% for WD, and 1.96% for Sader.
