Question - is it worth to play Seasonal Character of class that i already leveled up to 70 (Demon Hunter in this case)? Right now im playing for the first time Crusader as seasonal character, but i wonder if the new additions are worth leveling the same class again.
Bulk of your damage is coming from your rockets and not the sentries since you get the bonus damage for each sentry out.
Yes, point being that spitfire sentries fire rockets... Lots of rockets, so you get the +20% on those. Plus you get the bonus damage you're describing. The goal is to keep everything slowed, which caltrops does, as well as doing damage by itself - so why use Frost sentries? It's a flat damage loss.
The thing is though with caltrops you
1. Are giving up another skill to have it slotted
2. Need to run up to the enemies in order to drop them.
Cold Sentry has neither of those problems since you're going to be using them anyway and can throw them all over the place.

Caltrops are just a one time thing and you have to reapply way more frequently than a Polar Sentry. Caltrops use precious discipline for kiting with Tumble. Caltrops also puts you in danger when you have to place them close and not all greater rifts give you a lot of wiggle room to move. Polar sentries just need one good placement and they last the entire duration of the fight while you KITE like a mad man.
Furthermore If you're not spamming Cluster Arrow on those greater rifts 24/7, that's a huge net DPS loss right there. So while the DH futz around placing a couple Caltrops to make sure all the mobs are being proc with Cull of the Weak another DH could have had plenty of time to place one Polar Sentry, 3-4 Cluster Arrows, tumble, and shoot a couple of evasive fire to reload.
Caltrops uses a valuable skill slot when I can have Punishment for Cluster Arrow spam, Tumble for maneuverability, or run Marked for Death for a flat 20% damage increase.
Also good luck trying to place Caltrops on an less a than ideal RG. You can place a sentry on top of the RG to proc and the other 4 sentries farther away for Zei to kick in.
BUT This is just for solo greater rifting. In a group greater rift, Spitfire is perfectly viable IF someone else is proccing Cull of the Weak for you in the group. Then you can ditch Polar for more rockets.

Well, suppose I'll do a season 2 hero for the hell of it. Now to learn the community/clan interface since I've literally never even opened them before now. I'm Ilpala#1975 on there.

@HexDex if you are still interested in an EP/Flurry build but don't have the Warstaff, I found this build that looks really good while poking around the monk subreddit. The two main weapons are craftable, it's nearly invincible, and damage is equal to or greater than my version of the build.
Alright, I figured out my issue with DH... I think I wasn't using my Hatred spending moves nearly enough. I was throwing out Chakrams here and there, but by the time I got Double Chakrams, I started spamming them in fights and things started going much better. Then I hit 24 and switched to the Ball Lightning Elemental Arrow... so good. I temporarily switched my generator from Bolas back to Hungering Arrow... but, Bolas are so damn good for breaking groups of things, so I swapped back. I don't even have to use them a whole lot because Elemental Arrow just wrecks things.
I'm starting to get into this now for sure... Also, I'm level 33 and on the Kulle quest in Act 2, I'm a little high level at this point. Not that it matters really, just amusing.

Just had a good run with @icetor and their friend, or at least I didn't recognize the second person. We ran into a goblin pack just after getting a lightning pylon, which made for easy work. That was awesome.

Well thanks to HexBex or whoever else in clan chat who mentioned Best Buy having RoS 50% off today, after a quick road trip I can reap some souls now.

I'd probably be running some grifts to get more of my gems activated but I'm doing the silly Lunar Festival stuff in WoW right now since it ends tomorrow.

Apparently it's undergone some kind of renaissance. I know a few people who quit way back when and have gone back in the past year or so.

So that broken promises + obsidian ring combo is pretty cool. I'm not quite sure how good the damage out put is so far because my weapon on the PTR is pretty bad, but being invincible almost 100% of the time is pretty nice. Of course my gems aren't leveled so that's part of the problem.
So is there an active TMH UK community/clan? I asked a while back but don't think I got an answer. Got a seasonal level 70 WD I'm trying to gear and everything is better in a group!
e - I have tried searching every possible permutation of PAF or TMH using the ingame search function but I can never find anything.
I also want to give a shout out to the folks helping me figure out Demon Hunter. It sure is a complicated class, but I feel like I'm finally close to being able to pull my own weight on runs and keep up a little bit. My dps is still a little lower than I'd like, but I've had some suggestions as to what to try next, so I'll work on that.

@evilthecat was head of the EU PA clan, last I heard. No idea if hes still around, or still playing Diablo. Only a few people play on the EU servers. You should join us on the NA servers. Latency isn't that bad really. I know cause I've played on the EU servers before and it was fine.
Come to where the people are sir.

Yeah the pa arm was closed due to poor attendance. If you dont mind the latency hit and playing with friendly slackjawed yockels I'd also recommend playing on the us servers.

Anyway, sorry @HexDex, you were offline when I got back from BB and I thought I remembered correctly. I should've scrolled back a bit in the thread, you do post enough in here. Hell, it's probably because I kept typing Best for Best Buy. Bex is Best, am I right?

Finally ready to take a break from my demon hunter after getting an ok-ish cold soj. Granted, they're pushing to add more options for rings, but it was the last commonly used item I was missing.
So now I'm very excited to go back to crusader!
Before seasons, I'd been stuck on t3 with a p.o.s. weapon, only a couple pieces of akkhan, and nothing but holy% gear. Now, between funneling some blood shards or enchanting dex into str I've got 6 pc, ancient leoric's, and an ancient vigilante belt!
Obviously I need a much better weapon & shield, but it's way more playable already. Really looking forward to swapping to some of my fire gear & maximus tonight so I can start looking for a flail/shield combo.
After 60 hours of play in Season 2... and 342 paragon levels... and 15,000 blood shards gambled on two-handed weapons...
After 28 two-handed sword drops... after 6 Scourges, 4 Maximus', 4 Blackguards, 3 Sultan of Blinding Sands, 3 Zweihanders, 3 Faithful Memories, 2 Warmongers, 2 Cam's Rebuttals, 1 Stalgard's Decimator and 1 Grandfather...
I finally, FINALLY, have a Blade of Prophecy on my season 2 crusader. The 6% CDR roll hurts as it puts me at 54.30%, but the damage roll is good and I'm just relieved that I can play my condemn build again.
Of course it dropped from a goblin pack while I was powerleveling a crusader for @rwextreme (Alkmaar), so that he could farm for a Blade of Prophecy with me. Probably just to shut me up because I complained about it so much. Thanks man, you saved my season.
And it's funny, when I logged on last night I said to myself "I'm going to find a Blade of Prophecy tonight, or I'm going back to my non-seasonal character".
So my season 2 WD is 599k damage and I've been stuck there for what seems like ever. I geared up pretty fast, and I can reasonably do Torment 3. Torment 4 is doable but it's too slow to be viable for farming.
My issue is that I feel like I've capped out. I've dropped over 3000 shards on just hats on Kadala and she won't give me any helms to get any sort of decent build going. The only good hat I've gotten from her is actually *really* good. It's an Ancient Quetzecoatl. But that hat is not much use to me on it's own, until I have almost an entire set to back it up.
Since I've got this Quetzecoatl, should I start investing my shards into getting Jade Harvester pieces, or should I continue to gamble hats and try to get the Carnevil or Grin Reaper for a mid-range set that will maybe allow me to get a decent build going much sooner than collecting an entire Jade Harvester set?

do both, its what I've been doing. I got a really good carnevil from kadala, and a blah quetz from a drop. I'm just gonna play whatever build I get geared up faster for
I think the question you need to ask yourself is if you want to play a harvester build. Burning shards on hats you won't use is sort of a waste. I'd you want jade harvester just start gambling for the armor pieces you need. It'll come soon enough

There are no servers on console that I am aware of. All multiplayer is ad hoc over PSN. The issue you are having is two fold. 1. No one really plays the console versions in this thread. 2. Your game is probably set to private. Set it to public and PSN should automagically start plopping chumps with hacked items into your games.
