That's probably because there are so few healer characters overall. All the remedy characters bring at best heal all and mega heal, and then Mistwalker was just kind of like "let's give both b rank healers pretty much every tool a healer can have except for tera heal because the power of the SS healers lies in their wai-fu huehuehue"
I mean, I understand that healing's gotta be accessible, but heal x1.5 plus heal all is pretty frigging dumb to have for b rank and then not for ss rank, which is ostensibly supposed to be better
Also the Eidolon stages bone over the SS rankers' only advantage, which is better revive skills

Who's the 3rd one from the top? I recognize everyone but her.
Element it's all practice and study. In the last half year I've gone from terrible stick figures to this right now because art is all mechanical skills you grind out like some RPG and all the material is available for free online because the internet is magic.

Do you use a mouse or a tablet?
In the last 3 weeks I've been using a wacom intuos pro medium, so I've been having to get used to drawing with it and learning the programs. For the first 5 months I did it all with pencil and paper, drawing and throwing away large piles of drawings as if I was grinding out iron daggers (I still do, but now I am forcing myself to keep a sketchbook). The more I do it the more I understand that drawing really is all about practice and has absolutely nothing to do with talent. It's an RPG leveling system and you get your rested bonus and everything. For me drawing on the tablet and drawing on paper is completely different (primarily because of the tools I choose to focus on), but practicing one improves the other so I am making sure I make time to grind out practice drawings in both. In my free time at home I aim to draw for 20-25 minutes and then relax for the remainder of the hour, on repeat.
As for material, for learning anatomy and figure drawing I am referring to "Michael Hampton - Figure Drawing". He has an ebook and an 8 week online class you can find old videos of if you search, as well as youtube videos like KNKL (his style I really like) and Sycra (his style I don't particularly care for but what he talks about is really useful), and many others. One of the things I'll try to do is spend a 20 minute cycle on one of these sites: quickposes.com/pages/timed, posemaniacs.com/, artists.pixelovely.com/practice-tools/figure-drawing/ just grinding out either quick gesture drawings, or more fleshed out figure drawings, since they just present you a random rotating set of images. Although as I improve I'm trying to stockpile images in styles I like with the intention of setting up a similar random rotation for personal use to practice with. Seeing and drawing the same image multiple times is good because one of the goals is being able to cut down how long it takes to draw something, but having variety is important so you don't get bored of them.
Since it was recommended to me I'll also go ahead and recommend it here as well, but start first by learning perspective and drawing triangles, squares, and circles in perspective, as well as measuring techniques for drawing what you see since you apply that to basically everything from then on.

Disclaimer: I might be a scrub and have no idea what I'm talking about, but I'm currently on Chapter 29 (to give an idea of where I'm at in progression, if that matters).
Speaking of earlier, I wonder if Mistwalker is ever going to try balancing things. Obviously the idea that you can beat the game without a single SS/S rank character should stay, and I have no idea how Mistwalker plans to balance future PvP or PvE content, but the power of Sorman/Kuscah probably need a looking at, or if they're not going to nerf anything, give the SS healers something extra to justify the increased effort in gaining xp/grinding rare mats for job unlocks (Mega Heal All? Nothing could possibly go wrong). The other reason it feels odd that the 3 nurses aren't significantly stronger than the old men is that heal spells are capped at a certain value regardless of how much matk, so what does it matter that the 3 nurses have significantly higher magic stats? With the current state of the game, are the revival skills the nurses have gamechanging enough to justify what feels like a lack of healing disparity between B and SS rank healers? Yeah, I know the nurses get Tera Heal, but.... if you actually *need* Tera Heal to keep your units alive, it feels like you either messed up really badly or are out of your depth.
The S rank characters seem to bring unique utility (xp/drop/money boosts, one of a kind remedy/status combos and skills that wouldn't normally be found on a character with that job, etc), which is fine. I mean, it's cool that unique skillsets can allow more flexible team comps, but do they all have to be S rank characters?
The 1.5x Phys Attack skill is unique in that it's only distributed to 3 A/B rank characters, which is cool as kind of an equalizer.
Also, what's the deal with Life Drain skills being capped at 700 dmg per target and not healing if the target is already dead? I can understand maybe wanting to limit the healing received in order to avoid the characters with these skills going all Immortality Protocol, but I don't think Life Drain/Leeching Blade being uncapped on the dmg portion would break the game. It might be how the spell is coded, I guess.
Just a little venting on issues here and there. I am pretty content with the game overall and think it's something worth spending time and money on.
P.S. Buff Jaguna so only her art is an eyesore
P.P.S. Can I get a SS mage pls Mistwalker, preferably Jennish or Zerro

Alright, I need 3 drops from Artemis III to evolve her. Need a bunch in Chaos, so I have been messing around with it.
Yesterday I tried a private room, but couldn't get anyone to join from "line" this whole friend system is still really really poor done.
Probably won't do much in Co-Op until the weekend, the internet where I live is just shit and drops every 10 minutes or so. Which means when I want to do Co-Op I have to turn off WiFi and use 4G.

No, I just don't have time to logon at all. Usually when I do logon I just clear out the mail and logout. Team battles take too long and can't be put down. Don't really need to do regular battles for any reason.
I've still been running 15-9 with my 3 man team, getting 19k exp a run. I can technically do a 2 man team, the one floor would just take 2 turns and get more exp.
In a week a took Kusach from lvl 29-1-1 to lvl 29-20-65
I now have S'naip at 65-65-65
Next project is going to be working on Samatha who is sitting at 65-65-46
Might add Ba'gunar to be her partner in leveling he is at 37-2-2
Still need to figure time to level up Maralme & Velraine.

I did it with Grace, Ma'curi, Kuscah, Dainana, Eileen, A'Merpact. No special gimmicks or precautions, just standard DPS while healing through damage fight.
It has been awhile but the first stage of the fight is more about timing, if the boss is spear and other monsters are spear they will do an extra attack or stronger attack if you damage one of them. So you wait until the boss changes types... I don't remember the details however.
The mage portion of the fight is just damage/heal.

So I'm up to chapter 18 and it seems like I'm never getting any of the items needed to get new jobs. Chapter 17 had a few rounds which took me a couple times to beat, and 18 seems to be going down the same route (although I do have a levitate guy, so that's going to be SUPER handy). I normally do the grind for each metal zone as they come out for my main team, but should I be spending time going back to older levels to get the items for better jobs?

Once you beat 18, I believe that's when Hunting Zone 3 unlocks, which is your best shot at getting particles, and until you get to Ch. 20, rare metals. And yeah, Levitation makes 18 far easier, although the boss trio at the end is still pretty nasty (kill the bosses in the order of shield > laser gun > swordsman).
Unless you specifically need one kind of particle for a job unlock I wouldn't recommend farming older levels.

If you need something in particular it is usually faster to just grind out that stage until you get it. Only run the special dungeons if you need anything or if you really excel at the RNG.
Constrictor: I nearly beat 30-10 my first try, but the attrition is AWFUL. What's your team? You should be able to wrangle it if you have a good balance of Circle of Chaos and mages/healers. (The counter attacks are nasty, but a lot of that is knowing when to directly attack the boss, and using healers in pincers to restore HP between counters.)
New character is in the pool and they have a metal ticket event thing going on so it's time to throw all the energy I've been saving into pool and be completely disappointed:
So... with all the energy you get from the start of the game until now, plus $50 in IAP I've spent, my one and only PoT SS is Koko. Yup, completely disappointed.
