I had to look reaaaaaaly close to be sure that hair wasn't a 3d model.
And now I'm still not sure. Hot stuff.
I'm imagining her as the sort of stepford-wife robot that the aliens use to infiltrate suburban america.

The whole thing was very much informed by a 3d model.

I put an Asaro head in Blender and then spent a couple of minutes building a really awful jaggedy mess for her hair to work from.

The client is extremely nice though! Here was the basic pitch:

The general idea would be to have an illustration that includes myself along with a few friends in a "basement of horrors" sort of setting.

I really feel like this piece would have benefited from some 3D reference. The lighting is complicated and I don't think I pulled it off right.
