Help with hosting sites...
Hey y'all,
A google search kinda has me running in circles, so I'm just wondering if I can get some tech help
Hosting sites like
blazing fast simply let me host my own website, but not build it? And someone told me I can use things like
paysafecard for payment?
Super confused
I'm up in Canada if that makes any difference to the information!
Cheers,
Jacob

I'm not sure that your suggested payment method would ever be necessary...unless you're asking because you want to use it? Most hosting sites takes credit cards and paypal without issue.
It is a little weird that I have never heard of either of your links....
Well that's the thing, I barely understand the difference between a website that builds a page for me, or a website that is basically a blank slate, and it's to me to build. For the payment, I just heard through many grapevines that websites can be payed for with this sort of 'new' payment method, and whether it was worth it. As for not hearing about the links - I guess you have now!
"I need a website" :
You need to pay someone or some thing to do that. There exists free websites where you can smack together something and it gives you a final product. This means you have a website in a zip file on your computer.
"I need people to be able to see my website" :
You need to buy a domain name and pay for website hosting (~$5 a month + ~$20 a year for domain). You can take the website you got in stage 1, and upload it to your website hosting, and then give your domain name to everyone else to come look at.
Sounds like you need both of those, but we're just making sure we understand you before we give you any advice. If you need a website, what's your budget? Do you want just something simple? If yes, check out those free websites like wix. If No, lots of people here would be willing to give you a hand, I'm sure the artists corner has a few website peeps.
As for the second, there are hundreds of hosting companies out there. You can stick to the big players for safety.
That would be a lot easier than registering a domain, buying web hosting, and then figuring out how to do an independent store online.
