I was hoping they'd replace Target Smash with Break the Targets. Target Smash is the worst, and no alterations can improve its terrible core.

I'm really glad to have event matches back, as well as all of the other MIA features from Brawl. The Master/Crazy mode looks neat. Smash Tour looks more fun than Smash Run. The trophy presentation looks great. The new classic mode format looks to be both fun and a major change of pace. The new stages and overall stage selection look great, way better than the 3DS's. Danger Zones will mitigate the problem with playing on very large stages. More Reyn references. MEWTWO'S BACK! I HOPE HE DOESN'T SUCK!
So I'm hyped.

The WiiU uses bluetooth, IIRC, which allows up to 7 devices + the controller as the 8th. The gamepad itself uses some kind of dual-wireless feed that is its own beast. My guess is that the 3DS/WiiU probably rides the wireless as well as opposed to bluetooth, and the GC adapters take 2 USB ports.
So all in all.. theoretically you could use more than 4 Wiimotes/Pro controllers, but the limitations of the lights on the controllers might kick in.

Interesting - another thing I noticed was that Shulk had an indicator for his arts on his health bar, but that doesn't appear to be present on the 3DS. It does look like they are taking feedback from the 3DS version.
Why is every Metroid stage a variation on "cave full of lava"?
There are other environments in Metroid. Derilect spacecraft, ghost-filled ruins, ice fields, techno-castles, acid rain tubeland...
Brawl had the Orpheon. But yeah, something besides acid/fire would be nice. Part of it is though that most areas Samus goes through are filled with hazardous shit. Like Phazon. Which wouldn't be much different!
Phendrana Drifts would be neat, or Dark Aether somewhere.
