So Amiibos sound like Dragon's Dogma Pawns you can carry around with you, train with, pit against your friend's, and team up with against 6 other fighters
I can't believe they sold me on a smash-flavored Skylanders.
Will they warn me of goblins though?
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

Pirate Ship would work a bit different without the swimming mechanics.
Swimming? More like....floating angrily.

God I just want this system and game now.
Waiting an extra month to maybe get it will be killing me!

I'm guessing his will be Mega evolution, like Lucario,

I wonder if Nintendo is going to do anything for households with multiple 3DSes with the MewTwo code so couples and kids don't fight over who gets HAHAHAHA no never mind I'm not going to have him on my copy.
Seems like Nintendo held a special media preview event yesterday after the Direct, people like ProJared and Andre from GameXplain went there and were allowed to capture footage so we should get even more material pretty soon.
First of all I don't know how much you have to do this to trigger it. I wouldn't expect it to happen after one or two matches. More people probably don't know about this because it's not the kind of thing that can happen randomly. It probably takes multiple matches against the same set of people and have like 80% of the damage you deal all done to the same person in every match.
Obviously it can't happen in 1 on 1 matches anyway, mostly going to happen in For Fun, and targeting one player repeatedly seems like an attempt to make their game less fun. I think targeting one player relentlessly is kind of abusive.
So if someone is in the lead by a large margin I should be punished for trying to take him down? That just seems like nobody over at Nintendo thinks their online through.
Nobody really knows how the system works, it's very possible that whether the player is in the lead is taken into account as well.
Also it's not really a big deal, you just can't play for 10 minutes. It's not a permaban.
The lighting on this is gorgeous, somehow it feels more real than most other Smash Bros pics. Like...you really shouldn't be standing out there. Only one of you is properly equipped. What are you doing.
I was kinda sorta thinking the Duck Hunt reveal might have been today. Feels weird doing what is probably the last Smash-oriented Direct without the last reveal video. What on earth are they saving it for?
At a guess we'll get it at the launch of the Wii U version
Crap, I really need to get through Xenoblade. Fired up the original just long enough to get to the first town and then Smash 3DS came out.
So how awesome is the new tournament system? We can get things as crazy or as vanilla as we want. Hopefully people will come up with some really intriguing twists.

I'm hoping stage and item selection is often more inclusive and less complicated than most every tournament I've seen in the Smash series. I'm pretty okay with competetively playing with more than a quarter of the game.

This is a tourney system that will let you do all-Pokeball battles. I think it'll let you do all stages too.

I know it'll let me, but I also know most tournament players will opt to disable them.

This setup will make it easier for anyone to set up tournies for funsies, plus the serious tourney crowd is a tiny portion of Smash's audience. I bet there will be loads of fun tournies out there.

'Tis even larger up close.

That's nearly twice as much as Brawl.
Also, Pokemon Stadium is back:
Final Smash is ambushing newbies?
I'm guessing his will be Mega evolution, like Lucario,
I'm guessing Y.
Well, Charizard does X so it's only fair. Also Y is the one that just makes him more of wh

The other thing this does is kills taunt parties.
Mewtwo!!

Also Wuhu looks pretty good!

I wonder if that counts as a ceiling or if you can get KO'd through it.
Poor Luigi.
Shh, it has to be. It's the only way.
Also, I am very pleased with these Palutena codecs:
The trophy in the bottom right..that's Fiora, isn't it?
How so? I don't see anything spoilery in that picture...
I'm also interested in the competitive viability of Great Cave Offensive. Especially if it only has danger zones, instead of blast zones.
It sounds like a really cool, fun addition
so probably banned
They'll consider it the same as a walk-off...people who are heavily injured and have their enemies at or near 100% will hang out by them.
How far have you played Xenoblade?
Basically.

Well, at least it only works when you actually have your opponent over 100%, whereas walk off camping works on opponents of all percentages.
Close to the end. Is seven on there? I don't see her
