I'm playing Castlevania LOS2 and I can tell you, it's not good. And I can't stop playing.

EDIT: Man, I wish that Nintendo console that Jeff (and the world) suggest really happens. I would LOVE the big N embraced Cross Buy in any form.

I only played about half the game, but I never had any issues with the PC version and I don't recall hearing about any widespread problems.

It's stuff like Vinny and Patrick's experience with Far Cry 4 on PC that makes me worried. How do you know what kind of game you're getting? I think Brad and Dan had great PC experiences, but I can't risk spending money on a game that just might not work.

Anecdotal and all that, but the only game I've had trouble running in the last few years is Fallout 3, which doesn't play well with Windows 7.

I enjoyed the combat. And the dumb setting aside they capture the feel of Dracula pretty well (which is why the flashback/castle sequences are the best parts of the game)

Ubisoft PC games in general can be really tough to get to run well for no discernible reason. Assassin's Creed is the worst offender.

Vinny mentioned that his PC includes a 7XX GTX. Even assuming that he's talking about a 760, that thing should be able to run Far Cry 4 more than well on medium-high settings. I'd guess the stutter/framerate issues don't stem from either less-than-ideal hardware OR bad optimization but rather an entirely different problem - if I remember correctly, AC Unity had stutter problems on consoles when playing online, something in common with Ubisoft's tetris release.

That said, game-breaking scripting issues caused by playing a videogame on PC with a controller in 20-fucking-14 don't go unnoticed. DO NOT. They knew this was a problem and released it anyways. Fuck that.

Far Cry 4's scripting was always fine for me in single player. It's when I tried to do co-op that everything broke. Enemies standing still in the middle of the road next to their parked cars, open world quests not completing, etc.


Watching the Resident Evil quick look I really wish we'd get a remake of Eternal Darkness.
