Last week soloing the nightfall I ran into a 2 man group doing it, we ended up joining up and finishing it. So today they invite me into this week's nightfall. Wasn't planning on doing it yet, but what the hell why not. Our second try we knock it out. Our rewards? Thunderlord, Plan C, and Truth*mine*. Oh non-phogoth nightfall, I missed you too.

Just had a very interesting crucible match where my rounds were literally doing 0 damage, point blank. I recorded a few instances but I'm not sure how to get them from my Xbox.
Can someone stream the run? I'm hanging out, watching @BillyIdle, @Klauster Faulk, and @user run the Nightfall & Weekly while doing some work, and I'd love to see some VoG, too.
Gotta get into party chat and tell everyone to enable voice broadcasting in the Party Settings, though. That's important.
Edit: Rumors abound that anyone with whom I raid is required to speak in iambic pentameter at all times. This is unfounded and untrue. Only the relic holder is held to this standard.

I guess I could see how this Nightfall could be considered easy if you have Atheon's Epilogue.
As it stands though, I'm getting two-shot by Minotaurs, and trying to hide up top just means getting murdered by a different Minotaur when my ammo runs out.

Good VOG run y'all. Super annoyed that the bugginess of Atheon makes the fight that much harder now, but when the stars finally aligned it felt ... terrible to get another goddamn ship and a few shards. WHOMP WHOMP.

Good VOG run y'all. Super annoyed that the bugginess of Atheon makes the fight that much harder now, but when the stars finally aligned it felt ... terrible to get another goddamn ship and a few shards. WHOMP WHOMP.

Thank you guys for hauling me through the raid for my first time. It was a lot of fun! The stealth stuff went off without a hitch, but I get the impression that it doesn't always, and the platforming was fun AND hilarious. It's too bad Atheon himself is all kinds of weird and buggy, but when we eventually got a relatively glitch-free run it went off so smoothly.
Now I can't wait to try it again!

So I just found my first legendary engram from pvp......in a match where I literally didn't even get to spawn into before it ended. So, um yea. And of course it was an ascendant shard. This game freaking hates me.
Does anyone else on PS4 sometimes have issues where Destiny fails to recognise the fact you're a PS+ subscriber and says "Requirements not met" for stuff like Crucible, Strikes and Weeklies?
Yeah I had that the other night, iirc I went back to desktop and messed about with my network settings a bit (like test network etc), seemed to clear it.
So everyone's definitely coming tonight at 8 EST? We're gonna try just jumping straight into hard mode since apparently you get the normal mode and hard mode loot simultaneously if you haven't done normal first.

I'm good. I was playing with Zed & Stragint last night and they were good as well. The only drawback of doing Hard Mode first is if the "fixed" Atheon stumps us, we need to redo the checkpoints on Normal to get to him. So, lets not get stumped!

It works for titans and with my hunter I just arc blade all the way up there, not sure about warlocks though.
Speaking of the Nightfall / Weekly. At first, I was sure the bounties were random. Seeing as how the "Complete a Nightfall / Weekly Strike" bounty came up on a WEDNESDAY. I can only say that the bounties are determined by a cruel and dark intelligence.
So I finally run my third character through the VoG and of course they immediately pull a raid chest. So that means my primary is the only one without any Raid gear despite running it more than twice as much than all the others. Hilarious.
Also had a guy who "Raided lots of times" who didn't know about what to do when caught in the templar bubble....

This method does work, but it's a lot more dangerous with void burn. It looks like that's the walkthrough of when the nightfall was solar burn. An unlucky shot from the nexus will one shot you this week.
There's also a tall pillar to the left of the platform that you need to jump on to. From that pillar, any class should be able to make it up.
