"We have years of struggle ahead, mostly within ourselves." - Made in USA
I still think it's missing a certain something, but I really hope it sells well because I think a sequel could really be good now that the foundation is laid out.
I just wish you could go off the ground over our twice while maintaining momentum like you can in Titanfall.
Yeah this is my problem, you have few options when you accidently touch the ground.
I love south american ground karate
Streaming now:
I've been able to dodge once and then jump and keep a combo going, but I don't actually complete the doge roll... highest natural traversal is 79 now.
Looking at it, as long as you hit something when you touch the ground(like with a roll or a melee attack) it keeps your combo going.
I figured this out when trying out the freeze+ground pound combo. Pretty cool

WHat I did get to play was so awesome! TNTeddy is my favorite gun so far. Really handy against those popper and uh... shooty OD guys.
Also, I really wish I had the Microsoft pre-order guitar melee weapon.

also, it speaks to a pop-punk aesthetic relevant to gamer nostalgia from a decade ago (crazy taxi; jet set radio) that might not really make particular sense outside that context in 2014.
True story: I never played crazy taxi, jet set radio or any of the tony hawk games.
I still like this game a lot. :P`
That said there are a lot of 80s/90s pop culture references that you'll probably enjoy even more if you grew up around that time.
I got that too last night. I'm thinking I should probably advance the story some more.
What overdrives are you guys using?
I have up +ammo to single shots, +damage to OD, +style to grind and decrease the cost of style 2, so far. But anybody have any preferences yet?
I got the day one stuff with my console bundle. Kinda meh. The greatest hits gun seems like just a reskin of the regular record shooty gun. The melee hammer is pretty neat, though.
You're not really missing out on much, I think.
I do like that there is absolutely zero death penalty. Also make sure to kill blowers with the flaming compensator this week since thats the weekly challenge!

It does hit harder but eh I prefer the flaming compensator or magnum or literally anything other than the record guns. Maybe they get better as you level them? Wouldn't know didn't really level them since I had other guns I liked more. Bear Force 1 is a great amp though, fantastic!
Also the first points challenge at the construction yard is freaking hard, like all other challenges I've done you don't have to be perfect, but for that one you totally do and its like "yikes!"

wth Magell, go buy it. It's good stuff man.
The only thing that is lacking is a kickass soundtrack. The music is good, but it doesn't stand out and it's missing altogether from menus and some roaming.
Stuff like Tony Hawk and Jet Set/Grind Radio have spoiled me for games with this tone. Maybe I'll end up turning down the music and stream from http://jetsetrad.io after awhile.
With a good elemental mod, the record gun is great at taking out swarms of weaker OD. But that's about all its good for.
Also, just unlock the Air Dash and combined with the Super Bounce I am just hopping around the city.
The record lobber is pretty hilarious for your first "zerg mob" weapon because it hits so many dudes. Once you get the teddies or acid sprayer or something, though, it's not really as enticing.
I also just unlocked an ability where you can super bounce after a ground pound.
This game really is Jet Set Radio + Crackdown and I love it.
