Taking a few days off then coming back to my main and going on treasure/rare hunting sprees has really refreshed me. It's a really nice shot in the arm for gold/garrison resources and let me upgrade and build a bunch of stuff I wouldn't have otherwise right away.
I'm still not sure what to do with the last medium slot I have, and I'm not 100% sold on the storage plot as my last small, though eventually having a banker and AH in my garrison would be pretty cool.

They should put some cool stuff in and have it be a 1% drop rate with an additional 10% for each year your account has existed.
I say this because my account is very much 10 years old and kids need to get off my damn lawn!
Sure looks like a spoofed item link. You can change all manner of things about an item when you link it as the links are generated from the script input in addition to the item id, not only from item id.
If there was a blue TF in the game files that shit would have been on every wow site ever months ago when it got datamined.
Just found the Garrison mission for the chili cook-off. "The Burning Crusade."
Has you fighting Cookie. Not sure if it's bugged, but the mission has a 100% chance of winning without even slotting a follower on it.
I got a mission to learn a trait for dancing also 100% success.
I got this one too, and immediately trained one of my Ogre followers in the art of the dance. Hopefully one day I'll get to actually see him dance (I wonder if the party grenade would work with followers?).

I love how big Blook is, guy is a fucking giant, rivals the tree thats in my fortress.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
EDIT: it'll be interesting to see how long it takes to run it, given that it's the entire thing with no changes.
I give it a 20% chance that something will be unbalanced and people won't actually be able to finish, which would be hilarious. Another 20% chance it's just overtuned and the majority of disoganized LFR groups wipe (though I'm betting the first few days will be mostly veterans and they'll be fine).
I have a Level 3 Garrison and find myself resource starved frequently. Can't do many missions, don't have enough to upgrade buildings, and production is slow. So this change will really help.
Eh I didn't have problems with resources until I needed my tier 3 garrison, hitting 100 took me 2 to 3 days.
This is what I mean though, I'm about to hit 100 and I'm scrambling trying to get up to the 2k resources needed for the lvl 3 garrison, and that doesn't even take into account having the resources to fill the slots I'll unlock.
I'm pretty meticulous about getting all the treasures as I quest too and I'm currently sitting at 1764. I haven't rebuilt any buildings, bought potions, and I always prioritize resource rewards for missions.
Having had a bonus for doing LFD's (because god knows they never drop gear) would make it a lot easier.
EDIT: and making it a heroic LFD reward and not a general one doesn't do anything to help the people who aren't geared, or aren't interested, in doing heroic dungeons.
Yeah, crystals for heroic, garrison for normal makes sense to me.
Unrelated, I'm guessing the hotfix to give more lower level missions isn't in yet? I've got all of 3 non-100 missions and about a dozen non-100 followers. :rotate:
I don't think that Thunderfury is legitimate. Look, it still says Requires Level 60.
You can do some weird shit with code and linking items in chat, can't you? Like, you can link the original TF but do some modifiers to have it show up blue, with a socket, etc.
I thought back in Vanilla days they patched that to be forbidden. I remember a fix to auto-kick anyone who did that. But I'm probably wrong on some aspect.
RE: Blue Thunderfury, it's extremely easy to alter an item link to make it display whatever you want due to how they work. I don't have the time to actually craft it right now unfortunately, but I bet with an addon that shows the actual item link in the tooltip it would have the normal Thunderfury's item id in it. The reason why it works now is due to the random upgrade system, as the base item and its upgraded versions have the same item id but the item link has additional fields that indicate it's an upgrade. So if you flip those bits on a Thunderfury then you can spit out a blue one that's apparently heroic warforged.
So turns out the enormous fishing achievements really aren't that bad at all. Bait is the best thing.
It's currently a race to see if I get the stone for the Mine level 3 before the fish.
EDIT: does anyone happen to know if you can catch enormous and lunker varieties of fish in the level 3 fishing pond? The tooltip only mentions small/medium for level 1 and 2, but nothing about bigger fish in 3, aside from the special ones you throw for cavedwellers.
Maybe there specifically isn't enough interest (by their metrics) for heroics and they're trying to entice the more casual crowd to them?
I just hit 100 and tried just a regular dungeon (the train one). I was not very impressed by it. I thought the mechanics were excessive and heavy handed (also the fire part is buggy. People catch fire and then never stop. Also, they catch fire while well past that zone).
The last thing I want to do is face that wall to wall bullshit in heroic in a pug.

I swear the tier 3 is supposed to let you catch the big fish, you can also catch special fish for fighting monsters.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

Think of it less as a bug and more about teaching people the dangers of methanol fires.
50 Garrison Resources from first heroic would be pretty nice. I'd love more resources to send guys on missions, since that is my favorite part of the expansion so far.
Meh. If it's LFR and not too awful I plan to run it several times so I don't mind having to do it for the pet.
Seems like it will be worth doing at least once for sure. I believe you auto get the mount for completing it and the corgi for just logging in when the event is active.

It would be better if they let you choose your reward, much like how you set dungeon bonus reps in MoP. Sometimes you might need garrison resources but other times you might need crystals etc.
Could someone run the following script in WoW and let me know if it makes a blue heroic warforged thunderfury with a prismatic gem slot (I'm at work so I can't):
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("\124cffff8000\124Hitem:19019:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:null:0:0:3:499:523:524\124h[Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]\124h\124r");
Edit: It looks like Vanilla doesn't like that, so quote the post and grab the text from there.
Super excited for the corgi. We think my dog is part corgi (he's a rescue so his breed is ?). The doggy DNA test is processing now so we should know soon.
Looks like a corgi/Shedalotofhair retriever to me.

Well since you were jumping to conclusions, I thought I'd do the same thing. Just chose a different conclusion.
Forgive me for speculating on speculation.
I'll be sure to get your permission to speak next time oh keeper of the thread!

apparently you need to run it twice for the pet?

The WoWHead Guide makes it sound like thus:
Log on for Molten Corgi
Complete MC for Mount and 640 Helmet
Random chance at Hatespark pet upon completing the LFR.

Is there any variation in the benefits of different followers?
What I mean is, if I have two level 100 followers, both with Blacksmithing, will they both provide the same bonus to Work Orders?

Not sure how to embed.
tl;dr 50 Garrison resources for a heroic dungeon completion.
You're more resource starved out of the gate, it seems like it'd make more sense to do this with leveling dungeons instead.

Would.much rather have crystals from.the heroic daily, especially given that they supposed to be the justice/valor stand in.
