50 Garrison Resources from first heroic would be pretty nice. I'd love more resources to send guys on missions, since that is my favorite part of the expansion so far.
It would be better if they let you choose your reward, much like how you set dungeon bonus reps in MoP. Sometimes you might need garrison resources but other times you might need crystals etc.
Certainly. TBH I hope they put crystals just on the bosses at some point. Like 25 or something, an amount that isn't really that much more than world farming for time invested but makes you feel like you got something other than a tiny amount of gold.
Quick question about garrison work orders. I know having a follower assigned to a plot for which they have the necessary skill gives a chance for bonuses from work orders. My question is if there is proof that the level of the follower determines the chance of getting said bonuses. I.e. will a lv 100 follower be more likely to give bonuses than a lv 90 one?
Upgrading my goggles is gonna be a pain, since I don't have a barn. Only way to get the 15 Savage Blood required is to buy them with cash or Primal Spirits, and I only have 80 of those. Bloods are 50 a pop.
Man, the game does not want my pally to have any epic followers, or something. On the 3 other characters I got their garrisons started on, each of them have at least 2 (of the whole 4) followers they have as epic.
It's making these high level work orders a massive bitch when most of my followers are green.
The guards in Elodar aren't even level 100, so 100's can just kill at their own whim.
I've had the same problem with Zangarra.
The guards around Khadgar's tower are basically ineffectual, and there are none inside the tower itself. So half the time when I have to go there for a quest there's some dude in a corner, shooting me while I try to read quest text.

The Repair vendor at Khadgar's outpost is flagged attackable, too, so if you hit a spell hotkey while you've got the vendor screen open, you'll whack him in the face.
I might run around and do a few of the level 100 things there are to do now, and then get started leveling my DK.
Though the draw of just finishing questing in Draenor entirely on my Pally before I move to anyone else is strong.
I wouldn't mind getting as many characters to 100 before MC goes away for the free helmets, but aside from that I'm not in super big of a hurry.
EDIT: hey, neat 2h mace from Archaeology, kinda makes getting the 2h heirloom(s) from Garrosh a bit silly. :rotate: Maybe I can snag another on an alt and have 2 for my warrior...or just use the heirloom axe for the off hand...or try arms again! I dunno!
I don't get it. There are no objectives. It just says 0/1. People are talking about a progress bar, but I can't see it. Is this really just a daily to go kill a fuckload of enemies with obnoxiously high health?
I know this is a highly contentious thing, but personally, this makes me happy:
Reverting Default Loot Method to Need/Greed:
Going into Warlords, we wanted to try to improve the dungeon loot experience by using Raid Finder’s personal loot system that had been successful in Mists. While the personal loot system was successful in eliminating drops that weren’t usable by anyone in the group, and reducing loot contention in some cases, we’ve also heard a significant amount of player feedback about how the system feels unrewarding and unsatisfying.
In response to these concerns, we are reverting the default loot method in Dungeon Finder back to Need Before Greed. As always, players who queue with a full premade group may change group loot settings, and may use Personal loot or any other method if they so prefer. We will be evaluating how to better present and structure dungeon personal loot, and hope to re-introduce the system in the future.
It works fine for LFR, but it doesn't feel good at all in dungeons. Too many runs where no one in the party gets a single thing, making the dungeons almost 100% pointless for leveling.
EDIT: also apparently the anniversary stuff went live early in the EU accidentally.

Once you get there a progress bar shows up, there's usually other crap you can do but killing seems to always add more to the bar.
If I already have a bunch of level 100 followers, is there anything worthwhile about the purchased followers (the Shattari one specifically) that makes them worth dropping 5k on?

If you need more of a particular type of primary ability, it could be worth your money. That, and if you're sitting on a pile of gold like Smaug Butterdrink Cocopatch.
Yeah, on alliance, I dropped 120k for the CM's before WoD, so money is pretty tight there; I'm not entirely sure I'll have enough gold, even including how much you get via questing, to get the lvl 3 garrison on everyone.
I'll pass for the time being. If for some strange reason I come into a ton of cash I'll get them for shits.

You only see the progress bar once you get there.
It's funny, it's basically a D3 Neph Rift run. Kill things to fill a bar, kill bigger things to fill it faster, look around and cause havoc via objectives in the area to fill it other ways.

It's a GW2 'quest'. Basically just do shit in the area: Win!
I see. My problem was that the bar didn't show up. Maybe because I swam to the area instead of going through whatever the regular route is supposed to be.

Does your quest tracker show when you go into bonus quest areas? Because that's where it displays all the way at the bottom of the quest tracker under a separate pane.
I mean uh.. wouldn't want to do this again probably, but it *is* MC with trash respawns and stuff. Also I rather liked how it was full chaotic wipefest at first, then rather organized affair for the later part. After the ninjapulls stopped and the raid started moving in a group (instead of a line that dragged all the respawning trash) the run was rather smooth. LFR where most people instead of leaving after (repeated and many) wipes just get more organized is awesome.
Think the raid was on MMOC front page for a while, but the Method tank who was streaming left. We stopped wiping shortly after too. Heh.
The mount is neat
Crap, LFD loot system reverting to need/greed. The one thing that made pugs runnable was personal loot, since the lack of loot drama and ninja crap removed a lot of stress. Think that's it for my pug runs, though the satchels are tempting.

The change is a huge regression. I've only seen a handful of bosses total where no one got anything. No complete runs at all without drops
The majority of the time it's 2 or 3 drops per boss. I really don't see what "feels better" about slashing total loot in half or worse, then subjecting what's left to ninjas/etc
They could've put a display where you see chest similar to the one you get on follower missions. You open it and get a shiny animation and an item, or gold (or apexis crystals?). I think it would've felt better, even if the system otherwise worked as before.
My main is mostly geared up from heroics now anyway, and I can probably just gear alts with guildies so.. yeah, whatever.
There was a post on WarcraftDevs that brewmasters may be too squishy and might get buffed. Really hoping they do, would be nice to have tanking as an option on my monk.
At a certain point, it's about entertainment rather than numbers. It's nice to see a boss drop something. Even if you can't use it, there is still that nice capstone to the event. It just feels better to see that happen.
Analogy- A slot machine. You have 2 slot machines. Slot machine 1 wins statistically more often. But, when you pull the handle absolutely nothing happens until you win, wherein it just credits some money to your account. Slot machine 2 wins less often, but when you pull the lever the fruit and numbers go spinning, and when you win it shoots the money out with bells and whistles for everyone to see.
Slot machine #2 is going to be more popular.
Okay, so enough with the silly analogy. 3 gold for a boss fight is bullshit. I'd wipe my ass with 3 gold at lvl 100. They need to bring back Justice/Valor eventually, I think.
Since when...And also we already can see loot that drops for people.
The only problem with the system is the abysmal gold reward when you don't get loot on top of the low gold reward for the end of the run.
They have justice/valor in the form of apexis crystals. It seems like an easy solution is there really, hell resources would make a decent reward as well.
But instead they're effectively scrapping it all together.
I think the personal loot 'issue' could be solved easily by giving people 'something' other than three gold when they kill a boss. Like, a bonus roll style window that slot machines up loot, trade goods, gold, etc. would alleviate the problem of wanting to feel like you got 'something,' without returning us to the bad old bad behavior days.
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
As ive been running multiple dungeons to get me and some friends geared up as they hit lvl 100 it was frustrating as hell going through 2-3 dungeons in a row where no one got gear. Group loot is much better system than the stupid personal loot system. Really if they would just make the group loot smart and make it only drop something that someone could use it would be fine. But id rather a chance at a blue that vendors for 30-40g than just getting 3g.
Anyway for the people that managed to run MC on EU servers, does each boss drop loot or is it just a get to rag for a mount and helmet?
Also as a side note... Holy hell there are some terrible players. I've encountered some of the worst pugs the last couple days. People just standing in fire/lightning/void zones, not interrupting or stunning anything, aggroing adds that could easily be avoided, and not waiting for the healer to get mana and top everyone off. It's not like it requires extensive research to do these things, just dont be a retard and play your class.
On the other hand I am really loving the instant queue for healers, but that's probably because tons of people jumped the healer ship due to the above mentioned retards.
