I guess my expectations are too high. I obviously don't grasp how hard it is to release content that has already been created and released before in the past.
I'll stop criticizing DE on their "Disney vault" promise when they actually follow through on it. They've only had a few years to re-use some of the content that is already done. The could have re-released the strun wraith as one of the tiers of their oogma elite challenge. It would have been easy for them to do it. But they didn't and their word remains hollow.
lol, while my earlier post was tongue-in-cheek, I have to call you on this one. Warframe is a free-to-play perma-beta game and any money that you give them to play is entirely voluntary. To the point, beyond the digital services provided when you do give them money (eg: buying plat, a warframe, prime access), they quite literally owe you nothing. This includes anything beyond whatever perks and bonuses that may have given to a person that put down money as a founder.
As such, any promises they make to do a thing, are set on an indefinite timeline. You're calling them out for not doing something on your timeline. If DE said, "we'll re-release the <previous event item> within the next month" several years ago, perhaps it would be a hollow promise. But there's no evidence that I can find of them ever putting a definite time on releasing a thing. The earliest official response regarding a rerelease of an item I can find however is below:
(spoilered for H scroll)
from a post in October 2013 during a debate regarding exclusives returning, etc, referencing a response he got in May 2013. Their word isn't hollow so much as your expectations of when they are going to be fulfilled being misplaced, is what I'm saying.
While I don't have a personal stake in DE re-releasing exclusive content because fuck you got mine, I have to say you're being more than a little unfair here.
DE doesn't magically get a free pass from criticism just because of some ridiculous social contract you made up. Do you realize that 2013 is a long ass time ago now? If somebody missed out on an exclusive item then, that means they've been left hanging for multiple years now. Regardless of what you believe DE "owes" anybody, that's a shitty situation. Despite what you might think, it is perfectly OK for somebody in that situation to be frustrated, and maybe even vent a little.

Considering there's very little criticism out there that lives in a vacuum, General_Armchair doesn't get a free pass because you feel that "2013 is a long ass time ago" and that it's" a shitty situation" either. Furthermore, it's not unfair at all to criticize his criticism or the logic behind his frustration in that respect given the volume of venting being done on his part. Maybe once every few rants someone says something about it. :P
That said, I play on the Xbox One, so the majority of the event content was lost because I never had the opportunity to even try to get it. At the very least Armchair had an opportunity to get those things and missed out on them for whatever reason.
I would rather they focus on releasing new content and refining existing content instead of rehashing old content because—for whatever reason—people missed a chance to get the old stuff, be it two months or two years old. Besides, you just got what two tactical alerts with additional stance mods and we want to rake them over the coals because they didn't re-release an older weapon with this tactical alert? Which is an archwing mission so why would they even give a non-archwing, legacy weapon as a reward for it? That doesn't make any sense... which is really what prompted my response this time.

Personally, the only Disney Vault'd things I am concerned about are the Dex Furis, Machete, Prova Vandal, and Boar, because unlike the other ones, these ones are visibly in the codex taunting me with unfilled mastery bars.
It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing... And take away its pain.

I have all the wraith/vandal gear that I want. I remember when the strun wraith was op for approximately two days. I think I'm just missing the gorgon/Viper wraiths, but I don't even want Those because I don't generally care for bullet hoses.
If they intend for the kit to remain exclusive, then they should just say that. If they intend to re-release the stuff in the future (like they've claimed), then they should follow through on their claim.
Talk is cheap and I've learned to not believe a thing DE says until they've actually followed through with actions.
Re-releasing the kit for their tactical challenges would be ideal. Very few care about getting an extra tic mark on their badge. Many would jump at the opportunity to get access to those specialty weapons or at the very least get the free weapon slot that they come with. Additionally, releasing them in the challenges would allow them to keep the prizes for their major events pristine with new content.
It would take no extra effort on DE's part to do this. The content has already been made. They would simultaneously make players happy and prove that their Disney vault claims are not hot air.
And yet, they don't.

I'd like to see them deliver on this as well, but in the form of expanding their idea of reworking past events into quests. Make questlines out of past events and give the event's previous rewards on completing the chain. It'd deliver on the vault promise, bring back past events so new players can experience them to some degree, and hopefully give Warframe a bit of an actual storyline, if done properly. Right now it basically amounts to "you're a space ninja. Here's your gun, go do space ninja shit."

They already kinda sorta started doing that, the Stolen Dreams quest to showcase spy 2.0 hands out an ether daggers BP, which got taken off the market at some point.

also the synoid really is as broken as fuck like people say
New color pack is being offered for 1 cr. on the market.
Also, I'd like to reopen the discussion regarding forming an alliance. I know I'm not the only one who'd like to interact with the main clan but for whatever reason serve another clan. How about "Pax Arcadia" for an alliance name?

Invite sent, pretty sure it sends an email to the clan warlord to accept it, if not you'll have to fumble around the clan management stuff until you find it.

Whoever came up with the Limbo quest line must really hate fun...
Like, seriously... if the rewards where decent it wouldn't be so bad but after the eighth 'credit cache' in a row it gets abit old... then i have to build the helmet then do it all over again for the systems... :argh:
Anyway... my kubrow finally grew up and i finally got a a giant Beast of a dog instead of the wire-frame beasts i've got the previous three times! whoo!
The new guys in the alliance are some good guys
I approve of this merge
You mainly say that because you got three of the tethra mods for a song.
Yeah
like
that's basically giving me money because I asked nicely
that was an exceptionally nice thing to do
I think that is a good reason to endorse the continuation of someone's presence
I only spend plat on slots and prime items I actually want or need. Like scindo prime. I really wanted that. Nova prime? Sure she's cool, but not that interested so I'll do a couple missions and see what happens. No plat spending there.
Oh and cosmetics. But after the edo armor... what else do I need? The other armor pieces are meh, and I think syandanas look silly and make my frame look less cool. Personal taste and all that.
So the new prime access will have edo prime stuff. My wallet, she hurts. JK it may look like butts, but targis armor looks amazing so who knows. And the velorum sigil is epic, although that hurts a lot less now that I have a rift sigil.
Forget the temporary max energy increase; I'm pretty sure it only does that so you won't miss out on the fifty extra energy it gives you. I find that energy far more useful.
Like, it's not a whole lot, but you don't have to walk out of cover or snowglobe or the rift or whatever to get it.
The effect was better when it regenerated a percentage of your max energy. That actually shook up some of my builds and got me to actually equip flow. Then they nerfed the effect (suda and veil) into the ground and I reverted to my old builds.
The synoid's ammo efficiency probably needs a good nerf. But I'd rather they fixed the core problems with beam weapons first. Most don't have the godlike stats of the synoid that allow it to overcome it's handicaps.
I am shocked nobody playing on the consoles wants free platinum.
I think it is a population issue rather than desire. Not many people here are on consoles. Also I have a ton of plat, so Id rather another person take it even if it were for PC.
