Would recommend dropping Flechette for its event counterpart (or just another element if you don't have that), since IPS mods are really only worth it if they can give more damage than what an element mod would, and only the event versions are actually capable of that (and they can only do that when the weapon's base damage is roughly 80% of the corresponding damage type).

Well, I don't think I have the event counterpart, so, there's that.
Then you'd be better served by a different mod. I hate to say it, but the math just doesn't support using Flechette ever. We've explained this to DE but they either aren't listening or don't care. (Given recent trends, we can likely expect a semi-exclusive Primed Flechette at some point in the future to go along with Primed Point Blank)

Alright, replaced flechette with a 2-pip Hell's Chamber (all I had room for).

Galantine is still the super sword I remember. 50k crits on ancients with Loki with it.
Also new ancients, well new to me like the moas and stuff, are scary. I remember infested being the joke faction now they seem to be the hardest.
Even with the newer units unless they overrun you (aka an ancient harpoons you while you are surrounded) the Infested are by far the simplest faction to deal with due to the fact that 90% of them have to run straight up to you to deal damage. They don't take cover and walk right into melee range. Which is pretty easy to deal with most of the time.
Don't forget Tactical Pump (for 30% faster reload).
If there was a Primed Tactical Pump I would pretty much sell all my most precious Prime items to raise the ducats.

So on a random syndicates note, I'm glad I ended up with new loka. When they first got released I started with cephalon suda, because I like all their hologram stuff, and it had more of the augment mods I wanted.
But after a mission me and a couple friends went on, and one of them being attacked by new loka, I realize I never want to face them. Venomous and Parasitic ancients are a bit nuts, and it seems like it might be one the more likely syndicate attacks to actually kill a team instead of just it's intended target.

“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”
I mean its the sane dynamic with stalker. If I have low level equipment and he shows up well I'm boned, which is why I always have one good maxed weapon on me at all times if I have a low frame or weapons.
Loka is the toughest by significant margin, but they're really not bad still if I'm bringing decent equipment.
Killing them is easy if you don't revive your teammates, toxin will down one and people rush in to revive and get killed. Easily avoidable.
Guess this is one way to fix loot table dilution, lol:
Frost Prime, Latron Prime and Reaper Prime Parts to enter Prime Vault
The mysteries of The Void have always presented unique challenges. The well-protected Orokin Towers have been known to house Prime technologies, but there is word from beyond the realms of normal space that a part of this is evolving. On March 24th, Frost Prime, Latron Prime, and Reaper Prime will enter the Prime Vault, with all of their crafting parts abolished from The Void. If you already wield the power of these Primes, they will remain in your inventory.
Tenno, this week is your last chance to enter The Void in order to collect and craft these items, be sure to take advantage. The Prime Vault, an archive outside of Tenno reach, will house this gear.
As a responsive measure, Cephalon Suda’s final Syndicate sacrifice, the Frost Prime helmet, will be replaced with Nova Prime’s helmet.

Edit:
Well that's absolutely terrible. The last thing this game needs is more gear that is unobtainable to new players unless they're willing to pay scalpers in trade chat. This is like arcane helmets all over again.
DE, a token buy system is the solution to your dilution problems. You even have a void currency and a thematically appropriate merchant in game already. Just let us earn Ducats directly and buy prime components from the void traders.

I feel like announcing "we're outright removing some shit" without explaining how the Prime Vault is going to work is a really hamfisted idea
Also.... I mean... why? I thought the entire point of them planning to disperse Void missions around the system was to fix the loot clusterfuck, so... why remove stuff now?

Welp, time to get cracking on finishing my frost and reaper prime collecting. Maybe collect an extra set for my cousin who can't play as much.
Y'know, I'd be a lot more willing to spend money on the game if I didn't ALWAYS feel like I'm missing out. Why are "Prime access" cosmetics timed exclusive? What if I didn't have the money at the time? Fuck me I guess?
I realize they're a business and all but would it hurt them that much to be a tiny bit more consumer friendly?

If the past is any indication, they won't spread the drop rate out. They'll just expand the drop rate of o-cells and forma blueprints to fill the void left by the frost/latron/reaper prime parts.

By all indications, this is just the opposite of that. This is them removing content again. More of a "haha, you missed your chance. Now pay up" scenario. We're still waiting for them to open their vandal/wraith vault. At this rate, they'll finish their vault rotation plans after their company ski trip to hell.

I really don't get this. They've already got an issue with a bunch of mods and gear being exclusive to older players, and they decide to add on to it? It's understandable to a certain degree with event stuff, because those things are limited time by nature, but this is stuff that was supposed to be permanent. Why not do something else? Why not add them to the Orokin or Tenno research labs? Why not go with the oft-requested token system? They don't really gain anything from removing these items, and instead all they achieve is pissing off their players, because now they're basically cultivating this feeling of "Oh, you weren't here when those things were available? Then you can just get fucked. Sucks to be you!"
And yeah, they're saying it can be opened at any time, but as Armchair pointed out, their track record with that kind of thing is less than stellar.
I just really hope that their plans of spreading out the void's rewards can be used to fix this and other issues endemic to the void's tables.

This right here. Heaven forbid I miss the Targis armor because I didn't have fifty dollars (which is insane, and let us buy the armor separately from the boosters). Jeez.
And wow, DE is really bad at this. Removing things and putting them into a vault without explaining the vault? This is some amateur hour stuff from your community relations folks.
EDIT: I know! Things in the vault can be bought using ducats or a ducat style currency. Sure, why not another currency. At least it is better than nothing. Or maybe clans can buy vault weapon blue prints to research.
Damn DE, you should pay me for ideas this good.
Basically with every new prime access release the oldest not vaulted prime series gets added to the vault. This means there is frankly a long time before, say, volt prime will enter, and that those who "missed" the RNG can still get them by farming other things.
Words are cheap, and so is photoshopping the graphic they used to introduce frost prime.
They'll need to spill the precise details of their prime vault plans BEFORE they remove gear from the drop tables before I'll be convinced that this is anything more than them trying to manipulate the trade chat market to boost platinum sales.
I'm sure some of the trade chat scalpers are already looking forward to the day boltor prime vanishes into the vault.
Can't say that I really blame ya. Not much different than buying up staple cards in a trading card game to sell to people in a few years after they've been out of print for awhile. Except there everybody knew that the print run was finite from the get-go.

The items are going to be removed on March 24th. The three items that they mentioned are the only ones that they've explicitly mentioned this "Prime Vault" for. We don't know what currency will be used in this prime vault. We don't know how this "Prime Vault" will work, at all really. Beyond the fact that several days from now the items will go into this "Prime Vault" that "is new and and can open at any time," and the common sense that one can infer that one would be able to get items placed there from it (edit: the only items said to be going to that location obviously being those mentioned in their announcement).
I mean, it's only been several hours after their announcing the removal of these items at a later date. I believe there's a devstream this week? So perhaps they'll explain it then... reading the forums over there you'd think they set someone's house on fire. People really need to calm down, ffs.

Yeah, it might be a little early for the tinfoil hats. Let's see what their plans for the prime vault are first
It looks like they are removing the 3 prime items (11 drops) from the drop tables to make room for the 3 new primes with U16 (also most likely 11 drops for volt, odanata, and kogake/melee). And since we have until March 24, U16 probably comes out after that (or, and this is unlikely, U16 drops earlier without the primes).
Hypothetically, their plan to "blow up" the void and distribute the prime parts throughout the star chart would fix the current loot table dilution problem. They made it sound like there would be lore reasons for this, so something will probably destroy the towers in an event or quest.....like an ancient enemy....that has proven capable of destroying orokin tech.... (it's the grin-sentients).
Which, I think would be a cool event. But, the promo for the sentients looks to take place on a water planet, which I think takes place in the new underwater tile set (which should also introduce the reworked tyl regor). The new underwater stuff will use archwings which (unless tyl regor becomes an archwing boss) would mean we would need transitions between archwing and on-foot tilesets. Those transitions are being worked on (J3 golem), but the devs stated at tenno live that archwing, as released, does not support those transitions (the scale in archwing is all messed up), so it might be a while. Also last prime time, they stated the underwater tile set is "not U16 at launch" (re-watched the vid to confirm this).
Therefore, I'm thinking no underwater tile set for U16 (probably 16.5), thus no sentients, thus no event for them to "blow up" the void towers, thus no new prime drop system. So, the devs made sophie's choice and removed enough drops from the loot table to make room for the new primes as a stop gap until they can implement their new drop system (hopefully in 16.5).
Or...I'm wrong and have spent way too much time on this.
Also guys? Did General Armchair kill your dog or something? People seem to react quite negatively to his statements. As a long time lurker, his comments aren't really that cynical. But then again I'm MR18, so I might be even more jaded than he is.

The thing is I think they could have fixed the drop table bloat issue without resorting to outright removal of these items. If you take a look at the drop tables here (https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/172911-prime-gear-drop-locations/ , hopefully this is up-to-date) there is overlap to the point that basically every prime part and blueprint drops from 2 void missions. If they would adjust the tables and remove, say, forma blueprints (seriously, it's really dumb when potentially all 4 rewards in a single cycle of t4 defense are forma blueprints, not even actual forma) from the b and c rotations they could probably manage to fit more parts in there easily. While this is just a quick example and probably not all that well thought up, DE doesn't *have* to remove primes regardless of whether or not it's temporary or not in order to fix the drop table issue.
I think the biggest issue people are having with the announcement is not that they are removing these prime parts but rather they have given no particular reason why or how they plan to make these items available again. Just "hey guys, these things are gone in a week lol"

Oh, trust me, I agree with you. But DE has always been bad about explaining considerable changes/nerfs until after the fact. I'm just hoping that the new system will be better/decent (such as spreading the loot across enough nodes to dramatically reduce the items in each of the rotations; but they will probably leave the forma because lotus hates us).
Personally I like exclusive items, regardless of whether I have them or not. Obviously I'd rather have them, but I appreciate the idea of exclusive, time limited stuffs.
I saw a guy with the aura that gives extra affinity, and I thought it was cool that he had it and nobody will likely ever be able to get it again. There will be stuff in the future I'll be able to take advantage of in the same way, I look forward to that while still appreciating the fact that he has a fairly unique item.

What if their plan is not to make a plan?

Then DE are the best planners the world has yet known.

I saw a guy with the aura that gives extra affinity, and I thought it was cool that he had it and nobody will likely ever be able to get it again. There will be stuff in the future I'll be able to take advantage of in the same way, I look forward to that while still appreciating the fact that he has a fairly unique item.
