I'm going to one of those fancy barber places tonight to get my beard all trimmed up professional-like before I go away on a cruise for a week to forget about the events of last night.
When I say fancy barber places, I mean $30 for a beard trim, $60 for full head+beard, cash only, with people who take men's hair styling seriously, not some old dad barber who has been in business for 50 years and has one of those old-tymey dingaling cash registers (though those businesses are just fine).
I'm jealous of anyone who can grow the hair under their lip as full as you can, and also get the length of hair down from the chin like you had in your "before" picture. My beard looks prepubescent by comparison and I hate it. :P

Clean cut with goatee pic of me from a previous year for comparison:
And now me for the end of this Beardvember or Novembeard or whatever:
And again, the reason we Movember, the requisite links for various Men's health issues to promote our well being, lazily ripped from my post last year:
Also, a bonus link from WebMD on the graying of men's hair (beards included), why it happens, and what to do about it, because good God why do I have so many gray hairs! :bigfrown:
yeahhhh I had my beard and took a photo and didn't check to see if it was blurry and bad(it was) and now I don't have a beard cause november is over. sorry beard fans
I don't mind the gray in my beard, I just wish it would grow in more symmetrically. I already have a big lumpy birthmark on one cheek that everyone assumes is a tumor or a chemical burn scar, I don't need the extra gray on just that side to add to the lopsided feel.

My work environment has finally joined the 21st century, and we now have photo ID passcards for security checks. This means I needed to clean up the beard and trim the wildman look I had going because of negligence.
I think my photo ID turned out fairly well. Most folks look like convicts in their pics because there was no backlighting in the room.
shaved my beard off for the first time in six and a half years. I think i'm probably going to try and go through the summer without it, but i'm pretty tempted to grow it back after that.
I now have this perfectly smooth bald spot on my left cheek where hair used to grow in just fine. It showed up around July and I have no idea why I'm suddenly bald there. It ruins everything!
I'm planning to trim down before PAX Unplugged, because I don't seem to get the full security rundown at the aiport when I don't look like I've been living under a bridge. But after that I'll let it go, and should be back to maximum lumberjack before too long.

I won't be doing No Shave November because I finally found the perfect length for my beard (it's 3/4ths of an inch) and I want to have it at that length for Thanksgiving.
I took a picture when I was in the hospital a few days ago so I have a good comparison for full beardo and current length. I emailed it to myself from my phone but I have no idea when it'll arrive because :rotate:

I still really liked having a beard, but it was nice to change it up, and it'll be nice to go through summer clean shaven, and then start growing it back in march or something. Which i know doesn't line up with november, but i've still got friends to see who haven't seen me without a beard ever so. Part of this is also because i've found myself utterly incapable of giving myself a clean shave without leaving some shaving rash and a lot of very dark hairs poking out of my chin, even after investing in some nicer shaving cream and some better quality razors than the ones i'd use to get rid of my neck hair.

My being lazy about shaving the week into November has turned into me actually giving this a shot for the first time.
Been a few years since I've really tried growing it out, and my earlier twenties were not kind to me in that regard.

I am tempted to grow it again but it was just too hot to have when the summer came
