Our WiiU and Gamepad hard locked with a long beep a little while ago in Smash Bros. That's the first time I've ever seen the WiiU lockup. Had to pull the plug on WiiU to get it to turn off. Fired up a bit later with no problems though.

I've had a few lockups. Hitting the home button in Need for Speed while it's showing a leaderboard does it from time to time, and trying to exit Netflix after watching more than a couple hours worth of content. A few other very rare occurrences, but those ones were predictable. The problem with NfS sucked because I kept screenshotting the leaderboards so I could post my times and challenge people on my friends list.
I blew my free DDP points on all the Castlevanias except Dracula X, because I have Rondo of Blood on Wii.
I had doubts at first, but Harmony of Dissonance is holding up well. But maybe IGA would not have been hurting for processing power for the music if they didn't give Juste Belmont the "Alucard Aura." Why would a Belmont have that?

Probably because lots of people complained the character blended into the background in Circle of the Moon. The original Gameboy Advance was kind of butts about seeing things on the screen in the first place.
Aw geez, I need to remember to register my games. At the very least, I should get my Smash Bros. registration done, so I can get the soundtrack sample and Mewtwo.

The original GBA screen was very hard to see in anything but perfect lighting. Some stores (e.g. our local Best Buy) used to have a light above the display GBA so you could see the screen more clearly. It didn't stop me from buying one, but I eventually had to buy a light for it so I could play in the evening.
I still have the box and everything, I just couldn't NOT play it. So awesome! Although, these days I usually just play on the GB Player on my Gamecube for my GBA fix.

That picture definitely has my nostalgia flowing, but also reminds me how annoyed I am that Zero Mission isn't playable on the 3DS. The 2 Metroid games and Zelda are the only GBA games that I really go back to replay, and I have Fusion and Minish Cap thanks to the Ambassador thing.

Any recommendations for an external drive? At least a TB would be great
Really anything that has its own power cable. People have had issues with Y cable devices, don't use any HD that is supposed to be powered by just one port, and don't even try using a flash drive.
Although I have several Amiibo I won't have time to train them all. I've decided that my primary Amiibo for Smash will be Wii Fit Trainer. I'll enjoy the role reversal. I remember what she made me do and it hurt. Now it's time for the trainee to become trainer!
Went to Mediamarkt this morning to see if they broke the (European) streetdate, but alas, no luck for me.
At the end of workday a mate just called me: he has bought two copies of the game and is bringing one right over to my doorstep!

So I got one of these for my upcoming birthday. Sadly it seems that not only does it not have an optical out (really?) it also doesn't have DD/DTS decoding (really?!). Not the end of the world, but not being able to hear SS kind of sucks. :?
I nearly didn't get my copy of Smash on the day it came out, because the customer service desk initially assumed I'd ordered the bundle with the GCN adapter, and told me that they hadn't received any for their pre-orders yet. Good thing it got clarified, though, and she found out I only ordered the game.
Amazon is having a sale starting at 8:10pm (cst), where you can buy Smash Bros and get a $15 Amazon credit. Considering I already have a $50 credit on my account, I may be ordering Smash and an Amiibo this evening...
